A spokesman for the German government said on May 23 that Germany would “of course” arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant if the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for the two officials. Earlier this week, the ICC’s prosecutor, Karim Khan, accused Mr. Netanyahu, Mr. Gallant, and three Hamas leaders—Yehya Sinwar, Mohammed Deif, and Ismail Haniyeh—of war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip and Israel after the conflict erupted between the two in October 2023. Russia INVADED Ukraine. Russia has killed tens of thousands of Ukrainian civilians in their unprovoked war against the Ukraine people. How come the 'people' of South Africa didn't complain to the ICJ about Putin? Could it be that the 'people' of South Africa were told by the Muslim descendants of the people that enslaved their African ancestors told them to complain to the ICJ because South Africans don't like Israel?

The position of Hungary in the Ukraine vs Russia conflict has been consistently pragmatic. Ukraine is NOT a NATO country, and when the USA essentially demanded that all NATO member states join in a unified mission against Russia, to promote the specific interests of the United States, it never made sense. Hungary has maintained a consistent position that NATO is a defensive partnership that should not seek conflict and war outside its member state boundaries. However, the USA has previously used its leadership role in NATO to pressure member states to join in conflict outside the NATO boundaries, ie. Iraq and Libya.

The U.S. Supreme Court on May 23 ruled in favor of South Carolina’s redrawn congressional map, reversing a lower court decision. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) challenged the map, arguing legislators were motivated by race when drawing district lines and committed “intentional racial discrimination.” A panel of federal judges in 2023 said that “race predominated over all other factors” when legislators redrew South Carolina’s First Congressional District, currently represented by Rep.
