Special Counsel Jack Smith asked a federal judge Friday to bar former President Donald Trump from characterizing the FBI's 2022 search of Mar-a-Lago as a threat to him and his family, arguing that the claims put law enforcement agents in danger.
In the motion filed to U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon, who is presiding over the classified documents case in Florida, Smith requested Trump be prohibited from making statements that "pose a significant, imminent, and foreseeable danger to law enforcement agents participating in the investigation and prosecution of this case."

So…another “legal professional” who thinks defendant President Trump shouldn’t be allowed to defend himself.
What an unmitigated disaster our criminal justice system is these days. At least in this case there’s a real judge in charge and not someone who pathologically hates the defendant.

Does anyone doubt that this country has gone insane? First, an 'insurrection' where the insurrectionists came unarmed. Allowing 10 million mostly males of military age from countries who pose a threat to us, illegally come into our country and it's not called an invasion and now a man, whose home was invaded by ARMED FEDERAL AGENTS with orders to use violence and not wearing badges or clothing designating them as such and HE poses a 'significant, imminent, and foreseeable danger to law enforcement agents participating in the investigation and prosecution of this case.' The democrats and the spineless republicans are destroying our country.

Anytime law enforcement enters your house with weapons that by nature of the act is an implied threat to all occupants.

Is he also requesting authorization to use deadly force when Trump refuses to comply?

A secret raid authorizing lethal force: No problem. Complaining about it: Now we have a problem.

The background and issues here are quite clear and should be to the courts. One, The Presidential Records law gives Presidents 'plenary' powers over determining the classification of ANY document owned by the Executive. Two, his classification can be indirect or passive. If a President uses a documents as if it were unclassified, that is what it becomes. Thirdly, even if there (is) a violation, if the court feels the intent was not corrupt, such violation is ignored - as has happened in Bill Clinton's case. Fourth, the established policy of the DoJ has been that even if any action is ordinarily called for or permissible under law, deference is given to the fact that there is an election and interference might be a risk - as happened in Hillary's case. Fifth, the person involved is not just a former President but the chief active political opponent of the President. All these five factors dictate that a specific order should have been issues prohibiting the carrying of firearms. Standard procedure is an excuse NOT acceptable in this case

A likely improperly credentialed da plotted with the president’s team to conduct an armed raid with permission to kill on a political opponent who was also a former president, and who was voluntarily working with the fbi before the raid, to seize 100:sheets of paper that the president may have declassified and a 1000 sheets of private records. The wrong guy is on trial.

His plan was to have the case tried in Washington, not Florida. The left is going crazy over Judge Cannon, Trump's appointment.

This was a government conspiracy and setup from the beginning. The National Archives conspired with the White House and DOJ in seeding documents into boxes and foisting them on Trump at Mar-a-Lago. Against the advice of his own counsel, Trump personally greeted the FBI agents and allowed them access to the basement where the boxes were kept. If the FBI policy for use of deadly force was SOP, then why was it originally redacted? Is it standard procedure to authorize deadly force against the Secret Service and those under their protection - for documents? Baloney. Prior to the raid, President Trump had totally cooperated with the FBI and gave them free access to all documents.

When they searched Bidens homes, offices, and vacation rentals they found MORE classified documents than they found at Trumps single, secure, storage facility. ALL of Trumps 31 pages of documents were ones he HAD Legally and lawfully possessed, arguable STILL legally and lawfully possessed, and whether copies or originals, other agencies had dozens if not hundreds----thousands of copies already.
Many of Bidens he had NO RIGHT to posses, no right to even SEE, outside of a Govt SCIF facility.
What happened to the Biden Documents, many of them? They were NOT returned to the Govt, NOT sent to be stored at the Archives..they were sent to the OBAMA Presidential Library.
EX Presidents CAN and DO apprently have the superseding right to Classified Documents from their own administrations...Just not TRUMP..

Judge Cannon thinks Smith is a political hack. She is just waiting for the Supremes to weigh in on the immunity issue.
