Minneapolis on Thursday became the first major American city to permit unfettered broadcast of the Muslim call to prayer, allowing the adhan to be heard over speakers five times a day, year-round. The Minneapolis City Council voted unanimously to amend the city's noise ordinance, which had prevented some morning and evening calls at certain times of the year because they occurred at times of the day when tighter noise restrictions are in place. "The Constitution doesn't sleep at night," said Jaylani Hussein, executive director of the Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), after the vote. He said

A Muslim converted to a dedicated Christian told me many years ago how naive the West was about the plan. He said so many Muslims moving here was always a plan of conquest. This was at least twenty years ago at a medical conference at Texas Tech.

Re #3, but they can probably do all that Muslim noise. We have a Catholic church and school a few blocks away, and I enjoy hearing the carillon playing some times. Very pleasant and nice to hear. I'd be complaining bitterly if these Islamic noises were heard in my city.

No Muslim who answers all 5 loudspeaker prayer calls can get a good nights sleep because there is only 5 hours between the late night and early morning call to prayer. And the same goes to non-Muslims who live near those mosques.

These 5x daily calls to prayer are not gonna disturb anyone in Minneapolis. They're up all night anyway swatting mosquitoes. And since "the Constitution doesn't sleep at night" shouldn't they be calling their Muslim transie brothers and sisters of color to worship as well? I think these people would be far better off if they thought more about the haunting call of the laughing loon than the adhan call to prayer over some speakers.
