Sam Brinton, the embattled former senior Department of Energy (DOE) official, was able to escape jail time earlier this week in a grand larceny case dating back to July 2022.
According to Clark County, Nevada, criminal court records, Brinton was ordered to pay $3,670.74 to the victim in the case and $500 in additional fees including a criminal fine. Clark County Judge Ann Zimmerman then handed Brinton a 180-day suspended jail sentence, a sentence that doesn't need to be served, and ordered Brinton to "stay out of trouble."
Zimmerman also determined Brinton was guilty of theft of an item with the value less than $1,200.

IIRC, there were at least two more instances where he was caught lifting someone else's luggage. This just made the news because the lady who designed the clothes he stole at the airport saw pictures of him and made a racket.

And what potential business did the designer lose when he stole what she was bringing to show? Seems she lost a lot more than $3600.

This Felon Freak Show walks and the lunatic Bragg takes actions that aren't actually the misdemeanor he claims, and which is years past the statute of limitations and pretends that it is 34 felonies.
There is NO justice in this country any more. Leftist, criminal, violent felons walk free and good patriots who MAY have trespassed get years for a totaly fictional, FBI created nothing which they call an "insurreciton".
DC is evil, to the core.

But people who paraded through the capital, peacefully and escorted by Capital Police, are rotting in the DC gulag? Two systems of justice in America and the fish is rotting from the head, which is Merrick Garland.

If anyone thought this person would be punished with jail time, you’re delusional. The thief is a democrat, and a member of an exclusive unpunishable group, even if they murder children.

I am still trying to analyze my own feelings about Brinton. He repulses me. He also makes me angry because he is clearly an exhibitionist, a disgusting character trait. I also feel antipathy toward him for bastardizing ordinary sexual morays and designations. He is a man with a mustache, wearing a loud red dress and high heels and bright red lipstick. His entire persona screams, “LOOK AT ME, DAMMIT!” I find that nauseating. I cannot even discuss this person intelligently because he is so repulsive.

I'm in agreement with the second replier, and cite Dirty Harry as an authority. "Stay out of trouble" the authorities tell Sam Brinton Don' make me loff, mon. I'm not saying this nutso freakazoid Brinton is going to go Scorpio like Andy Robinson in the movie, but he's got a thing for prosperous looking women's expensive suitcases and the contents thereof, preferably Halston or Prada, for whom he dreams of being a runway model like Cindy Crawford. (He needs to dream REAL hard.) His percentage chances of recidivism into airport luggage larceny hover around the number of absolute certainty: one hundred. Freaks must freak until they get locked away in Happy Acres where they eat with sporks so they can't stab the uniformed staff or use human eyes as cocktail olives. Short of Christian salvation (perhaps including exorcism), there's no cure for what Brinton has. He gone. He gone away.
Harry Callahan: "You know, you're crazy if you think you've heard the last of this guy. He's gonna kill again."
District Attorney Rothko: "How do you know?"
Harry Callahan: " 'Cause he likes it."

He is yet to be tried for ripping off the fashion designer. She was traveling with her collection and because he stole her luggage, she had to withdraw from the fashion show she was in town to participate in.
