American benevolence during World Cup

The World Cup, as everyone knows by now, has been taking place across several cities in stadiums that have surprised foreign visitors by being gigantic and air-conditioned. [snip] Overwhelmingly, they are blown away by the abundance of food, both in restaurants and in grocery stores, not just in amount but in variety (e.g., the dozens and dozens of varieties of coffee, or cereal, or snacks). They have been likewise overwhelmed by the size of everything, from onions to sandwiches to steaks to stores to cars. They found refreshing the unashamed patriotism, evident by all the flags.

Comments:

The truth is getting out.

Decades of European government and media propaganda against the American people and our country and our food, all severely damaged by a month of hundreds of thousands of foreign visitors discovering the REAL America, and REAL Americans.

I volunteer at the National World War II Museum We have a significant number of mainly European patrons. Also from India, Australia and some from the Far East. They constantly compliment the USA as being so warm, friendly, accommodating and just plain nice. Often stating that their country of original lacks so many positive qualities that the average US citizen displays. Of course if they are visiting the WW II museum, they are highly unlikely to run into the Hate America First liberal elitist. Many soccer fans have recently visited and rave how wonderful an experience it has been for them to see the USA.

YouTube is filled with videos from people who came here for the World Cup and they're wonderful to watch. These people now realize they've been snookered by propaganda. A few have indicated that when they return to their home countries they'll begin the visa process so that they can move here. The 2 links below are "shorts" but there are sooooo many similar videos. https://youtube.com/shorts/UTtA2xgVJYc?si=8y1_f_9VH5bpy0Z2 https://youtube.com/shorts/g3pJwkR9VtQ?si=v2HLe0X5RBVxItEe

Thanks, OP, for posting. Of course. Everything in America is and always has been bigger and better despite what the globalists and the various msms want people to believe. As we see, propaganda has its limits. In other words, in this modern world, seeing is believing. The human mind can only be manipulated so much before it says, ruh roh, something is wrong. Sorry, lefties and commies around the globe (this includes you, Obie), your little leftist charade is done, well done, and very well over done.

Takers are almost always resentful of their benefactors. Foreign governments must denigrate and denounce the generous USA to convince their citizens they are not inferior.

Foreign visitors often are amazed at certain American foods. One Russian scientist that I brought over here on a research project absolutely fell in love with Wendy's chili. When my wife and I visited St. Petersburg on a vacation trip, we brought the makings for chili and a good, home tested recipe. Mrs. DVC taught his wife how to make a good batch of chili, and we left enough chili seasonings for her to make a number of batches. Ground beef is essentially unavailable in Russia, so the wives had to hand chop it very fine. The chili was good, a major hit, and Yuri and Tatyana had a good time when we were there. Yuri took us to dinner at a fine restaurant on the coast near St. Pete. When the restaurant owner found out that we were Americans he was very proud to tell us that an item on the plate was Eidaahoe. My wife and I puzzled over that for a few long moments before realizing that he was proud of his Idaho potatoes.....even in Russia, where potatoes are a staple.....Idaho potatoes are what they proudly serve in fancy restaurants. Our Ukrainian friends, mother, father and daughter, greatly enjoyed BBQ at the local restaurant. When trying to explain to her, in Ukraine before their visit what barbacued meat was....she didn't grasp it, even though her English is quite good. Her version...."So, this is some fried meat?" I laughed and said, "No, it is not fried meat. You will try some when you are in Kansas." After eating BBQ and the three getting different things and exchanging bites.....I asked "So, is this fried meat?" She grinned and said, "No, this is not fried meat....this is much better, it is barbecue." American foods are very good, extremely varied and foreigners are always amazed at BBQ.

Trump walks Iran into a trap 24 replies

And here you thought Trump was being naïve, trusting Iran to adhere to the MOU (Memo of Understanding.). It’s not a treaty or an agreement or a promise. It’s just a memo. Here is what I think Trump is doing, four steps ahead of everyone else, as usual. Trump made a big deal out of signing the MOU publicly. Cameras, people standing around, a worldwide press event of the signing. But Trump knew, and still knows full well, that the Iranians have no intention of adhering to the memo or to any future deal. They will cheat. And when they do, Trump will be able to say,

A professional baseball team in Pennsylvania will be forfeiting a game on Thursday that was scheduled to be the team's Pride Night after players refused to wear LGBTQ-themed jerseys, the team announced. The York Revolution of the Atlantic League, the same league where Trevor Bauer currently plays, said the decision "was not reached lightly" in announcing the forfeit to the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs on Wednesday. The team was not afraid to throw its players under the bus in a rather scathing statement, saying it was "deeply troubled and profoundly disappointed by the decisions of these few players." "To be clear; this action by the players is completely inconsistent with our vision

Kurt Schlichter's 2024 novel, "The Attack," is an eye-watering what-if scenario of the coming attack on America. The new one will be a 3-day summer attack that will cripple America. The Attack will be a coordinated attack on our government, our infrastructure, and our cyber-capabilities. Why is this novel more worthy than others of our POTUS' attention? Because I believe Schlichter knows things. "The Attack" is about a highly-coordinated, massive, comprehensive Muslim attack on everything America uses to survive and thrive. Due to the open borders of America and other nations, really, really bad things happened which we are only now seeing.

So-called renewable energy has never lived up to its extravagant promise. Windmills are very expensive, hard to service, and produce power only when the wind blows, and solar only when the sun shines, [snip] And then there is the Ivanpah solar plant in the Mojave Desert, an extraordinarily expensive flash-fryer for birds flying into its heat beams, and a futuristic failure. Even the Sierra Club has been forced to admit the thousands of birds and tortoises killed, and the despoiling of the desert ecosystem, are too much. And so was the cost to taxpayers:

Time will not diminish the glory of their deeds.” General John J. “Black Jack” Pershing, commander of the American Expeditionary Force during World War I, spoke those words about America’s doughboys of the Great War. They ring as true today as they did a century ago. As President Donald Trump and hundreds of aides, security personnel and officials prepare to travel to China, many will leave behind one of the most basic tools of modern government: their everyday cellphones. Instead, officials entering China often travel with stripped-down "clean" devices, temporary laptops and tightly controlled communications systems designed to minimize the risk of surveillance, hacking or data collection in what U.S. officials consider one of the world’s most aggressive cyber environments. The precautions can transform even routine tasks into logistical headaches. Messages that would normally travel instantly through encrypted apps or synced devices are instead routed through controlled channels, temporary accounts or relayed in person.
