Very great news. Surely, Karoline, your hubby and you have by now pre-enrolled her at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology? My alma mater. Congrats, Karoline. I know some people there so can help get her accepted.

Recently, my colleague Greg Maresca wrote an excellent description of life aboard a Navy amphibious ship with one of the two Marine Expeditionary Units (MEUs) currently afloat in the Persian Gulf. My last “float” was in 1978-79 with the predecessor of the 31st MEU now in the Gulf — they were then called Marine Amphibious Units (MAUs). Life aboard ship was exactly as Greg described it. However, being peacetime, we did get some great liberty in places like Hong Kong (then British), Taiwan, the Philippines, and Japan. We practiced and were ready for nearly every foreseeable contingency

A shadow has lifted over American democracy. For generations, government-mandated racial prejudice quietly diluted the voting power of American whites, the very group that forms the overwhelming core of the Republican electorate. On April 29, the Supreme Court finally ended this systemic discrimination in its ruling in Louisiana v. Callais. The decision strikes down race-based congressional maps that artificially boost minority districts at the expense of equal representation. The judgment applies to state and local districts, too. It restores a simple truth: districts must reflect population realities, not engineered outcomes designed to weaken one race’s electoral voice. This is no minor adjustment. It is a foundational correction to 40 years of constitutional betrayal.

It was about 2 A.M. on a chilly night in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn. While on radio car patrol, my partner and I were notified that an anonymous caller had heard unusual sounds at a hardware store that had been closed for several hours. Since we couldn’t find a break in front, we checked the hallway of the building next door, finding a window that accessed the rear yard. I climbed onto a narrow ledge and inched my way toward the grimy-looking rear window of the store.
When leftists abandon reason, the shooting starts 8 replies

Once again, the left has attempted to assassinate President Trump and/or those in his Cabinet. But why do these instances of violence continue to occur? Pretty simple: The left has abandoned reason and debate. I came about my “worldview” over a forty- to fifty-year period by engaging smart (and some not so smart) people, and by challenging my notions on particular important subjects; economics, religion, culture, foreign affairs, and more. [snip] I’ve found very few leftists willing to engage in deep debate on important matters, before they, like pigeons, crap on the board and knock over all the chess pieces.

Politics is often framed as a battle of ideas. Elections. Messaging. Media narratives. But beneath all that lies something more fundamental — and far less discussed. Demography. Because in the long run, it is not the loudest voices who win. It is the next generation. And increasingly, that generation is not being raised by the political left. [snip] This would explain Democrats’ open borders policies, which, combined with generous welfare benefits, add millions of voters electing to continue the gravy train. The real divide is not just race or geography. It is fertility. And on that front, the left is losing.

I’m wondering if at this point, we can all agree that the Covid shot was a bioweapon? From basically flatline for decades to over 3,500+ reports in 2021 alone? That’s not a gentle curve - that’s a cliff. A pair of Chinese-American siblings is accused of planting an improvised explosive device (IED) at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. The siblings, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials have revealed, are the now adult “anchor babies” of Chinese illegal aliens who were rewarded birthright citizenship for their two children after their mother delivered them in the United States. Last week, the Department of Justice (DOJ) brought charges against 20-year-old Alen Zheng and 27-year-old Ann Mary Zheng after they allegedly orchestrated an attack on MacDill Air Force Base, including planting an IED on the premises.

The elephant in the room grows bigger after a look at the latest violent crime statistics: blacks are the greatest perpetrators, and the greatest victims, of criminal violence. First, let’s look at a new stat, from AFPost on X: That means just 285 suspected shooters were white, while a whopping 18,715 were non-white. When we cross-reference that data with numbers from the city, we see more of the whole picture. The latest report from the NYPD is from 2024, with a few brief and relevant points below: 66.8% of the shooting victims and 64.5% of the shooting suspects are black, despite blacks actually being less of the population

NEW YORK (AP) — “Project Hail Mary” stayed aloft in its second weekend, holding strongly with $54.5 million, according to studio estimates Sunday, and adding to the long-term prospects of the year’s biggest hit thus far. The Phil Lord and Chris Miller sci-fi adventure, starring Ryan Gosling, dipped only 32% after notching the best non-franchise opening weekend since 2023’s “Oppenheimer.” Amazon MGM’s yet, “Project Hail Mary” has grossed $300.8 million worldwide in two weeks. “Project Hail Mary,” which cost nearly $200 million to produce, didn’t face any significant new competition and kept premium format screens largely to itself.

The solution to the Iranian drone problem may already be in the pipeline. This involves a long-serving U.S. drone, the Raytheon Coyote. The latest version, the Block 3NK (Non-Kinetic) has demonstrated that it can knock down numerous enemy drones without ever actually striking them – and then turn around and do it again. The first version of the Coyote originated in a 2004 requirement from the U.S. Navy’s Office of Naval Research for a small, expendable UAV to serve with the P-3 Orion antisubmarine aircraft. The drone was to be launched from the plane’s sonobuoy tubes, at which point the straight wings would unfold. Originally intended as a remote sensor platform

The South Carolina House voted last night to open the door for redistricting in a special session a week from now. The measure still has to pass the South Carolina Senate; however, with the Indiana outcome at the forefront of their political future, the redistricting is more than likely. As a consequence, South Carolina Democrat James Clyburn is potentially going to lose his gerrymandered seat in congress. Given Clyburn’s stature as one of the key architects of the DNC ballot harvesting and election counting fraud via the AME Church network, Democrats are apoplectic.

The battle for control of the U.S. House is increasingly being fought not just at the ballot box but in the map room. Just days after the Volunteer State’s GOP-led legislature rammed through a new congressional map that ELIMINATES the state’s only Democrat-held and Black-majority seat, turning Tennessee into a solid 9-0 Republican delegation, a bombshell new “Crystal Ball” redistricting report is out, and it’s devastating news for Chuck Schumer, Hakeem Jeffries, and the entire crying, screaming Democrat Party. The Virginia Supreme Court has struck down a congressional redistricting map approved by voters in a referendum last month, ruling that the Democratic-controlled Legislature failed to follow constitutional procedures when advancing the measure. The proposed map would likely have favored Democrats, giving them four additional congressional seats and creating a projected 10-to-1 advantage over Republicans in the state’s U.S. House delegation. The decision could strengthen Republican efforts to maintain control of the U.S. House of Representatives ahead of the midterm elections.

Turns out we were right, as the Daily Wire’s exposé of massive fraud schemes in Ohio makes clear. Which means there are almost certainly still more to be uncovered. Which leads to the question of why we are learning about this only now. Daily Wire is releasing a five-part series that alleges massive fraud in an Ohio Medicaid program – a state that obtained a waiver so it could reimburse “home healthcare.”

Its loudest voices are busy policing their own members. Into that mess steps Sen. The Virginia Supreme Court's ruling striking down Democrats’ costly redistricting push sparked an uproar on social media over the massive sum the party spent to pass the now-defunct congressional map. Virginians for Fair Elections, the main pro-redistricting group, raised north of $64 million in support of the Democratic-friendly gerrymander that could have netted the party four GOP-held seats in November’s midterm elections.
