Trump walks Iran into a trap

And here you thought Trump was being naïve, trusting Iran to adhere to the MOU (Memo of Understanding.). It’s not a treaty or an agreement or a promise. It’s just a memo. Here is what I think Trump is doing, four steps ahead of everyone else, as usual. Trump made a big deal out of signing the MOU publicly. Cameras, people standing around, a worldwide press event of the signing. But Trump knew, and still knows full well, that the Iranians have no intention of adhering to the memo or to any future deal. They will cheat. And when they do, Trump will be able to say,

I hope all this is correct. Sounds right to me.

I'm with the O.P. I have faith in President Trump. He has America's best interest at heart. In stark contrast to Zero, who had Islam's best interest at heart.

Even though I haven't always understood the steps President Trump has taken in regards to Iran, I do trust him because I know he loves our country and wouldn't do anything to harm her. The Left and their media have another agenda and that's trying to stop President Trump at every turn even if it harms America and Americans.

Finally an article by someone who actually thinks things through and understands the truth instead of being emotional about it. I am so tired of people saying that Trump betrayed Israel when he did no such thing. Trump has laid out expectations for behavior which include Iran stopping their supports for terrorist organizations who's only goal is to destroy Israel. Trump has already said that Israel can hit back if they are attacked. When Iran does not live up to the agreement, Trump will hit Iran so hard, they may never recover. The Democrats will not be able to say a word against the actions. Meanwhile the world will have restocked all of the strategic oil reserves and gas prices will be back down to where they were before the conflict. Iran will not be 11 days away from a nuclear weapon and we will not have to deal with that danger.

I think the article is correct. I think a lot of this is part of his effort to realign the Middle east taking advantage of the coalition with other Mideast counties that have never really been on our side before but Iran was foolish enough to attack. I pray that he gets it done.

A professional baseball team in Pennsylvania will be forfeiting a game on Thursday that was scheduled to be the team's Pride Night after players refused to wear LGBTQ-themed jerseys, the team announced. The York Revolution of the Atlantic League, the same league where Trevor Bauer currently plays, said the decision "was not reached lightly" in announcing the forfeit to the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs on Wednesday. The team was not afraid to throw its players under the bus in a rather scathing statement, saying it was "deeply troubled and profoundly disappointed by the decisions of these few players." "To be clear; this action by the players is completely inconsistent with our vision

Kurt Schlichter's 2024 novel, "The Attack," is an eye-watering what-if scenario of the coming attack on America. The new one will be a 3-day summer attack that will cripple America. The Attack will be a coordinated attack on our government, our infrastructure, and our cyber-capabilities. Why is this novel more worthy than others of our POTUS' attention? Because I believe Schlichter knows things. "The Attack" is about a highly-coordinated, massive, comprehensive Muslim attack on everything America uses to survive and thrive. Due to the open borders of America and other nations, really, really bad things happened which we are only now seeing.

A Collin County jury has sentenced Karmelo Anthony to 35 years in prison after he was found guilty of murder in the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Memorial High School student Austin Metcalf during a high school track meet in Frisco, Texas. Anthony faced up to life in prison after being convicted of murder. He will be eligible for parole after serving half that time. He broke down in tears and was shaking as the verdict was read Tuesday afternoon, and he was immediately taken into custody. The case immediately moved into the sentencing phase, with Anthony's mother as the sole witness

So-called renewable energy has never lived up to its extravagant promise. Windmills are very expensive, hard to service, and produce power only when the wind blows, and solar only when the sun shines, [snip] And then there is the Ivanpah solar plant in the Mojave Desert, an extraordinarily expensive flash-fryer for birds flying into its heat beams, and a futuristic failure. As President Donald Trump and hundreds of aides, security personnel and officials prepare to travel to China, many will leave behind one of the most basic tools of modern government: their everyday cellphones. Instead, officials entering China often travel with stripped-down "clean" devices, temporary laptops and tightly controlled communications systems designed to minimize the risk of surveillance, hacking or data collection in what U.S. officials consider one of the world’s most aggressive cyber environments. The precautions can transform even routine tasks into logistical headaches. Messages that would normally travel instantly through encrypted apps or synced devices are instead routed through controlled channels, temporary accounts or relayed in person.

Abdidwahid Mohamed, the owner of Minnesota Food Grocery LLC, allegedly used EBT cards registered to others to purchase items at Sam’s Club and Costco in 2021 before turning around and reselling them in his store, Fox 9 Minneapolis reported. Authorities in Hennepin County say they observed Mohamed making purchases and followed him back to his store with the goods. Surveillance footage and GPS data backed this up, while investigators noted that many of the EBT cardholders were either out of the country

Recently, my colleague Greg Maresca wrote an excellent description of life aboard a Navy amphibious ship with one of the two Marine Expeditionary Units (MEUs) currently afloat in the Persian Gulf. My last “float” was in 1978-79 with the predecessor of the 31st MEU now in the Gulf — they were then called Marine Amphibious Units (MAUs). Life aboard ship was exactly as Greg described it. However, being peacetime, we did get some great liberty in places like Hong Kong (then British), Taiwan, the Philippines, and Japan. We practiced and were ready for nearly every foreseeable contingency

A shadow has lifted over American democracy. For generations, government-mandated racial prejudice quietly diluted the voting power of American whites, the very group that forms the overwhelming core of the Republican electorate. On April 29, the Supreme Court finally ended this systemic discrimination in its ruling in Louisiana v. Callais. The decision strikes down race-based congressional maps that artificially boost minority districts at the expense of equal representation. The judgment applies to state and local districts, too. It restores a simple truth: districts must reflect population realities, not engineered outcomes designed to weaken one race’s electoral voice. This is no minor adjustment. It is a foundational correction to 40 years of constitutional betrayal.

President Donald Trump is going full speed ahead with his disastrous Iran deal, and that’s not good news for Americans, Israelis, Iranians, or anyone else. Fox News reported Wednesday that the Trump administration finally disclosed the details, which include “plans for immediate waivers on Iranian oil exports, a framework for at least $300 billion in reconstruction and economic development, and a 60-day negotiation period aimed at securing a final agreement on Iran’s nuclear program.” Trump himself boosted the deal before the press on the same day, with Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick on his right and Secretary of State Marco Rubio on his left. Donald Trump did the right thing in Iran, for a while. He buried their enriched uranium under hundreds of feet of dirt and rock. He destroyed for years their ability to enrich more of the stuff. He made a lot of headway in crimping their ballistic weapons. He showed others in and around the Persian Gulf that the Iranians are bad guys. But then he stopped. We’d already lost, um, just about no soldiers, but there was a possibility that we might lose some. He stopped because he believed, correctly, that Americans were tired of the war.

Mrs. Clinton has offered some words of praise for President Trump's 20-point plan for Gaza, calling it "the only game in town.""Unexpected" is the biggest understatement since Napoleon Bonaparte described his loss at Waterloo as a "bit of a setback." But reality is a harsh mistress, and while there's probably room for criticism in President Trump's 20-point plan, it's still the best option; not the best plan imaginable, but the best plan possible.

To Hamas and the rest of Iran's "Axis of Resistance," the prospect of a "deal" between Washington and Tehran is not being interpreted as a sign of American strength. It is being viewed as a sign of America's weakness and a victory for the Iranian regime -- which the US defeated -- and proof that the US is eager to end conflicts at virtually any price.
