Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson on Monday for the first time publicly addressed the Supreme Court's controversial recent decision in a Louisiana voting rights dispute and the conservative majority's expedited certification of the ruling, which allowed state Republicans to more quickly implement plans for a new congressional map. Jackson, the liberal junior justice, told a gathering of the American Law Institute in Washington that her colleagues' handling of the case may have compromised the court's impartiality in political matters, especially during an election year.

If this fathead doesn’t shut her big mouth, we need to find a way to remove her from the bench. Sooner or later, she's going to do, or say, something really stupid.

Well isn't this the way to project the unethical past practices of the Democrats onto the court conservative judges. I bet that, in this specific instance, Justice Jackson may actually know a LOT about election fraud. Only thing is, she's determined to enable it, not prevent it.

KBJ is THE most political person on the Supreme Court. From what I can see, she does not follow, does not know -perhaps has never read- the Constitution, but instead 'rules based on her feelings."

Controversy-tarred congressional candidate Maureen Galindo this week pledged to transform a site south of San Antonio now used by the Trump administration to detain migrants into an internment camp for “American Zionists.” “She’ll turn Karnes ICE Detention Center into a prison for American Zionists and former ICE officers for human trafficking,” Galindo wrote in an Instagram post over the weekend, referring to herself in the third person. “It will also be a castration processing center for pedophiles, which will probably be most of the Zionists.” Galindo’s latest set of inflammatory remarks comes as the Democratic hopeful for Texas’ newly redrawn 35th Congressional District continues to draw national attention

CRESTWOOD, Ky. — Kentucky U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie lost his Republican House primary Tuesday after a concerted effort by President Donald Trump to oust him from Congress through challenger and ultimate winner Ed Gallrein. The result showed the president’s persisting influence over GOP voters, adding to a growing number of Trump-backed primary challengers to defeat Republican lawmakers who angered him in his second term. Massie, who has served in Congress since 2012, angered Trump by pushing for the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files, criticizing the war in Iran and voting against his signature tax legislation last year. The congressman tried to convince

WASHINGTON – In a political blow to President Donald Trump, the Senate on May 19 moved forward for the first time with a measure to end the war in Iran. After several key Republican senators didn't vote – and another key GOP bloc defected – the war powers resolution advanced, 50-47. Though the vote was largely procedural, and faces an uphill battle to actually becoming law, the resolution's progress was a bad omen for the White House about potentially waning support in Congress for the war. Rising gas prices, spiking inflation and the president's sinking polling numbers have become political liabilities for battleground GOP lawmakers as the November midterm elections approach.

Thomas Edsall's weekly opinion column at the NY Times is always a kind of doomscroll for Democrats. Nearly all of the columns have the same premise which goes something like this: Republicans are destroying America and only Democrats can stop them, but there's a problem. And give Edsall credit for realizing that this setup is evergreen at the NY Times. It is after all a paper for Democrats who are convinced they have all the answers to all the problems caused by everyone else, if only... Today's edition of the column fits right into this pattern. It's titled "Is There a Door No. 3 for Democrats?" Here's the opening paragraph. Despite

In addition to the three victims, which included a security guard at the mosque who reportedly "played a pivotal role" in saving lives, the two alleged gunmen, said to be teenagers, were also found dead in a nearby vehicle located by police. Investigators believe the two died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds. We're learning new information on Monday evening about the two suspects, including their names and possible motivations: The alleged gunmen

As they look to the midterm elections, Republicans have reason to worry — but not despair. They're going to be fighting uphill all the way to hold onto their majority in the House, which they currently control by the razor-thin margin of just six seats. That includes one member, California Rep. Kevin Kiley, who officially left the GOP but still caucuses with the party. "Fragile" hardly does justice to the state of the GOP's House majority. Democrats look at President Donald Trump's approval ratings and exult: As of early May, exactly six months before the midterms, Trump's approval in the RealClearPolitics polling averages

True enough. But to be fair, Politico only realized it belatedly, too. Donald Trump finally got his revenge on Bill Cassidy this weekend. The incumbent Senator tried to survive a primary challenge with Trump pushing voters to give him the boot over Cassidy's impeachment removal vote in January 2021. Instead, Cassidy came in a distant third to Julia Letlow and John Fleming, not even breaking into six figures in vote totals: Sen. Bill Cassidy, who voted to convict President Donald Trump on impeachment charges in 2021, has lost his Republican primary in Louisiana, as two challengers who had aligned with Trump advanced to a runoff.

After less than two hours of deliberations, a jury rejected Elon Musk's claims against OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, ending a dramatic chapter in the bitter rivalry between the two tech billionaires, who were once close friends. The court, led by U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers, agreed with the advisory jury's determination that Altman and OpenAI were not liable, and that "claims of breach of charitable trust and unjust enrichment are dismissed as untimely." Addressing the judge, Musk's lead counsel, Steven Molo, reserved his client's right to appeal, though Gonzales Rogers said she's prepared to dismiss an appeal "on the spot."

The Texas governor wants to see them behind bars for a long time, instead of released as “misguided minors” to shoot more people. The 15-year-old stole his gun on Saturday from the exact same store where the 17-year-old accomplice had already stolen a firearm. There was a warrant out for the latter’s arrest over the theft. A Democratic city council member who once welcomed the “change” from socialist Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson is now admitting he is “gravely concerned” about the business exodus affecting the major American city. This comes as blue states like Washington and New York face a business exodus in favor of more market-friendly red states. Starbucks, a major player in Seattle’s business scene, recently announced a major expansion into Nashville while simultaneously cutting Seattle-based corporate jobs, a move that has intensified concerns about Seattle’s business climate and economic competitiveness. For a sense of how bereft the Democrats are of credible leaders and sensible policy ideas all one has to do is listen to the remarks of former Vice President Kamala Harris on the Win with Black Women podcast. She proposed a “no bad ideas brainstorm” in which Democrats would discuss “What we need to do, and think about doing, around the Electoral College … expanding the Supreme Court … statehood for Puerto Rico and D.C.” Harris, whom most polls of Democrat voters show as the front-runner for their party’s 2028 presidential nomination, said this as if offering fresh ideas.

Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was lampooned on social media for using a bulletproof shield on wheels while delivering a race-baiting rant on “voting rights.” The clown show unfolded Saturday at a rally in Montgomery, Alabama, where the Bronx Bolshevik tried to incite left-wing outrage following a Supreme Court decision repudiating race-based congressional redistricting as unconstitutional. The most notable part of AOC’s staged stunt was her absurd use of a portable bulletproof glass panel divider. “Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez champions defunding the police, open borders, and abolishing ICE, yet she shields herself behind bulletproof glass,” one X commenter wrote. “The hypocrisy is hard to ignore.”

Naturally, many Americans will ask how an outbreak of Ebola in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) could possibly necessitate the World Health Organization (WHO) assuring the world that it is in imminent danger of Ebola contagion. The latest strike came Monday when a longtime voting activist in California reached a deal with federal prosecutors to admit to illegally paying homeless people to sign election petitions and paying people to register to vote in a two-decade scheme that allegedly leveraged the Democrat-run state’s lax mail-in voting system,
