Britain Had Meltdown When China Hacked
Voter Files, But U.S. Intel Kept It Secret

The United States expressed outrage when Great Britain revealed two years ago that its voter registration databases were hacked by scandal in what became a global scandal. But it turns out the U.S. intelligence harbored its own secret (snip.) Last June, FBI Director Kash Patel turned over to Congress a (snip) raw and unverified intelligence report (snip) bluntly titled "Chinese Government Production and Export of Fraudulent US Driver's Licenses to Chinese Sympathizers in the United States, in Order to Create Tens of Thousands of Fraudulent Mail-in Votes for US Presidential Candidate Joe Biden" (snip.) CBP (snip) "seized a total of 19,888 counterfeit frivers licenses"

Comments:

The counterfeit drivers licenses were seized by CBP at O'Hare Airport from January-June 2020. Most of the article deals with unreported Chinese intrusions in state voter registration databases. The information I have highlighted (except the first sentence) appears in the middle of this long article.

A newly released document from Sen. Chuck Grassley adds a significant and troubling dimension to what was previously known about the conduct of former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith, a central figure in the surveillance of Trump campaign associates in the Russia Collusion investigation. (snip) The new information shows that his misconduct was not limited to a single target, but (snip) extended to another investigation against Trump adviser Walid Phares. (snip) it had become obvious that (snip) there was no case against him. (snip) Despite this, Clinesmith (snip) prevented these conclusions from being sent to the DOJ officials responsible for (snip) FISA renewal applications.

As I have reported for months, the Trump Department of Justice is having a hell of a time securing criminal indictments from D.C.-based grand juries. According to a filing by Pirro's office, Powell's personal attorney (snip) suggested to (Pirro) that Chair Powell would step down from the board when his term as Chairman expires -- but only if the subpoenas were withdrawn and the chair was no longer under investigation (snip.) Analysts inside the U.S. intelligence community sought to conceal evidence of Chinese influence efforts from President Donald Trump during the 2020 election, with analysts saying they didn't want their intel used by "that vulgarian in the Oval Office" to pursue policies toward China they personally disagreed with. The revelation is found within a January 2021 report written by (snip) analytic ombudsman Barry Zulauf, who conducted a review of the spy community's handling of Russian versus Chinese meddling efforts during the 2020 election. Among his conclusions is that intelligence analysts downplayed China's actions (snip.)

Silicon Valley was energized by legal immigrants from all over the world who founded ebay, Google, Nvidia, Space, Stripe, Sun Microsystems, Tesla, Yahoo, and a host of others. The Greek American Elia Kazan's 1963 film "America, America" is a fictional account based on the Herculean struggle of the director's uncle to immigrate to the United States from an impoverished and hostile Anatolia. The film summed up Americans' traditional view of immigrants: They had risked everything for the chance to reach America, and, once there, became hyperpatriotic in their gratitude for the magnanimity of their new hosts.

Ron De Santis and Republicans, the council members are collaborating on a letter to President Trump calling for a more liberal focus on immigration policy. Armed plainclothes men with covered faces have been riding around on motorcycles, wielding their weapons to intimidate Iranians, and have set up a network of security checkpoints in Tehran to search cars, the outlet reported.

Good question. And a surprising source for it, to boot. Did Paramount buy Comcast when we weren't looking? Poll after poll has shown for years that the vast majority of American voters want requirements to show identification at the polling booth. That support crosses every major demographic, including political affiliations, and has for decades. As requirements for identification apply to more and more activities in public life, including for New York City's snow shoveling in Zohran Mamdani's socialist gulag, the arguments against voter-ID requirements become more and more inexplicable. Even NBC News has begun to wonder whether the only organized opposition to it is on Capitol Hill:

ALBANY — Gov. Kathy Hochul is begging wealthy New Yorkers who fled the city to come back and continue padding the Empire State’s lavish public handouts. Hochul made the case against caving to Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s demands that she hike income taxes — by saying she not only wants fat cats to stay in the city, but also clawing at those who have moved to states with better business climates like Florida. “Maybe the first step should be go down to Palm Beach and see who we can bring back home because our tax base has been eroded,” the Democratic governor said at a forum hosted by Politico last week.
