Joe Kent, the director of the National Counterterrorism Center, has announced his resignation. Director Kent outlines his decision as driven by opposition to the war against Iran.
Kent, a senior deputy to Director of National intelligence Tulsi Gabbard posted his resignation letter on the X platform, writing: “I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran.” … “Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.” (image)This is quite a remarkable development. Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” former Biden Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said President Donald Trump was no longer fit for office.
Buttigieg said, “What I’m worried about is not the soldiers and the people who are serving. What I’m worried about is their political leadership, like Pete Hegseth and Donald Trump. You know, we lived through a war that was sold to us on false pretenses when I was younger. This war has not been sold on any pretense. The president just went ahead and did it. Here’s the biggest thing that has not changed since the war in Afghanistan or the war in Iraq.

The movement to put federal agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other agencies at polling places is having the effect of flushing out into the open those from the left who want to protect shady election systems. The one-party state of New Mexico, with Democrat majorities in the House and Senate and a Democrat governor, was the first to pass legislation and have it signed into law that bans military or armed federal agents from polling places and ballot drop box locations.
One of the lesser known woke governors in the country, and one of the more extreme ones, Michelle Lujan Grisham, signed into law SB 264,

France’s government is bolstering the country’s military presence in the Middle East, dispatching its aircraft carrier and other warships, while President Emmanuel Macron engages with key players in the conflict, including Iran, in a bid to position Paris for future diplomatic talks.
Macron said that France’s military involvement is strictly “defensive” and aims to avoid making the country a party to the war.
He reaffirmed that position after one French soldier was killed Thursday in a drone attack in Iraq.
“We are not at war with anyone,” Macron said.

LOS ANGELES — Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” was crowned best picture at the 98th Academy Awards, handing Hollywood’s top honor to a comic, multi-generational American saga of political resistance.
The ceremony Sunday, which also saw Michael B. Jordan win best actor and “Sinners” cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw make Oscar history as the first female director of photography to win the award, was a long-in-coming coronation for Anderson, a San Fernando Valley native who made his first short at age 18 and has been one of America’s most lionized filmmakers for decades. Before Sunday, Anderson had never won an Oscar.
But “One Battle After Another,”

Rep. Jasmine Crockett insisted she “followed all protocols” in hiring a fugitive security guard who had a criminal history and was under federal investigation when he was fatally shot in a standoff with Dallas SWAT.
Crockett (D-Texas) confirmed in a statement on Monday that her security guard, Diamon-Mazairre Robinson, whom she knew under the alias of Mike King, was shot by police in Dallas on Wednesday night — blaming “loopholes” in the system for his ability to circumvent the vetting process. [snip]

The rumor that's circulating in Middle Eastern political networks claims that Iranian cleric Hojtaba Khamenei may be in poor condition while he struggles to command respect among key figures inside the regime.
Mojtaba Khamenei remains widely viewed as the center of Iran's leadership after the death of his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who served as Iranian supreme leader for over 30 years and whose death created a sudden leadership vacuum.
Iranian state media later confirmed the killing and declared a 40-day national mourning period as the regime moved quickly to maintain control and reassure supporters that the government remained intact. The Iranian supreme leader has held ultimate authority over Iran's military forces,

NEW YORK CITY – New York City will add 800 more “slow zones” capped at 15 mph by the end of the year, officials said Monday. The move will bring strict speed limits to schools across the city, increasing the number of schools with slow zones to 1,300. City officials said every eligible school across the five boroughs will receive a reduced speed limit by the end of Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s first term. They described the expansion as the largest use of Sammy’s Law, which allows New York City to set its own speed limits. The law is named for

State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli just revealed that New York City is now spending $81,000 per street homeless person — in a town where average take-home pay is no higher than $40,600. And Mayor Zohran Mamdani want to spend more: City Hall projects it to hit nearly $97,000 in the coming year. Overall, this spending has skyrocketed from $102 million in 2018 to $368 million last year, up 320% even as the street-homeless population grew just 26%.

A Mauritanian illegal immigrant marked for deportation since 2002 has continued to live in the US and is a registered Democrat who voted in every election since 2008, authorities claim.
Mahady Sacko, 50, who goes by the nickname “Sacko Scorpion,” was busted last week in Philadelphia for allegedly falsely claiming citizenship to cast a 2024 ballot.
He was picked up in a joint operation between Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the FBI who charge he “falsely represented that he was a US citizen in order to vote and register to vote” in the last preidential election, according to a press release.

oday, most of those self-identifying as LGBTQ are young women. The growth has been dramatic. In the US, some thirty percent of Gen Z women (age 18-27) are self-identifying as LGBTQ, etc.—mainly lesbian and—compared to around 1-2% for women in the World War 2 generation. This means that almost a third of traditionally marital-age women are likely disinterested in traditional marriage. This is a significant factor in why almost half of Americans are unmarried.
As a result of the decline in marriages, the American replacement rate continues its slide south of the 2.1 children per couple needed for replacement. It is now hovering at 1.6. If one argues that lesbian couples
