Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” former Biden Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said President Donald Trump was no longer fit for office. Buttigieg said, “What I’m worried about is not the soldiers and the people who are serving. What I’m worried about is their political leadership, like Pete Hegseth and Donald Trump. You know, we lived through a war that was sold to us on false pretenses when I was younger. This war has not been sold on any pretense. The president just went ahead and did it. Here’s the biggest thing that has not changed since the war in Afghanistan or the war in Iraq.

What a dumb--s! Any citizen (using the word advisedly) paying a small degree of attention understands both the short and long-term reasons for Pres Trump's actions. We don't need shallow, clueless, bleeting sheep doing their best Chamberlain to jump into the picture and try to explain this business to us. Anyone not paying attention, and just looking for partisan directions through their personal fogbank, should not be voting anyway. President DJTrump appears to be one of the best multi-tasking Chief Executives this country has ever had. That fact alone has the Dem's up at night, howling forlornly about their own lack of direction, ideas, and public support.

LOS ANGELES — Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” was crowned best picture at the 98th Academy Awards, handing Hollywood’s top honor to a comic, multi-generational American saga of political resistance. The ceremony Sunday, which also saw Michael B. Jordan win best actor and “Sinners” cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw make Oscar history as the first female director of photography to win the award, was a long-in-coming coronation for Anderson, a San Fernando Valley native who made his first short at age 18 and has been one of America’s most lionized filmmakers for decades. Before Sunday, Anderson had never won an Oscar. But “One Battle After Another,”

Two former campaign managers for former President Barack Obama warned that the Democratic Party is a mess ahead of the 2028 presidential election, due to not knowing what they stand for. Jim Messina explained to Axios that while Democrats are planning to rely on voters’ frustrations with President Donald Trump and his administration to pick up additional seats in the upcoming midterm elections, that is not enough to win the presidency. Meanwhile, David Plouffe warned that Democrats are not ready to win “in what are now red states in neutral and even challenging environments.”

It’s easy to get discouraged about the ongoing redistricting wars with recent developments in California and Virginia, but Republicans did score a significant victory last week that may help. A Missouri judge has cleared the way for a new congressional map that strengthens the GOP’s position and puts a longtime Democratic stronghold squarely in play. Jackson County Circuit Judge Adam Caine ruled that the revised map complies with the Missouri Constitution—this hands Republicans a much-needed win in the escalating national fight over mid‑decade redistricting. “The decision of what municipalities to split is a political and policy determination that is properly

Non-poisonous snakes, like bull-snakes and water snakes, I was under orders to leave alone, but the area's big timber rattlers I was allowed to go after, and in the summer I actively hunted them, for the meat (tastes like chicken), their hides, and their rattles. We have reached the point where the Democrats and the media are trying to convince the public that the military and Trump were unaware that the Strait of Hormuz was a strategic chokepoint, vulnerable to Iranian attack. Newsflash: the US military can read maps, and Trump has spoken about the importance of the Strait since the turn of the century. The media and Democrats are desperate to portray what is, legitimately, the most successful military operation in modern history as a chaotic, strategy-free, and failing war that Iran is winning.

Don't misunderstand what I'm about to say. The war in Iran will continue for at least another week, according to President Donald Trump, and probably much longer. There are still hundreds, maybe thousands of targets, human and places, to destroy, thousands of sorties to be flown by U.S. and Israeli forces, and American naval assets will soon be joined by up to 5,000 Marines. There undoubtedly will still be casualties to come, joining the 13 we've already lost in the last fortnight. But not only are we winning this war against Iran, the killer move that all but assures the final outcome

Officials are pitching the no-paycheck gigs as rooted in former President Barack Obama’s legacy of civic engagement. The recruitment campaign comes after Fox News Digital reported that the organization’s CEO, former top Obama aide Valerie Jarrett, was paid $740,000 in 2024. Foundation officials told Fox News Digital the volunteers will complement about 300 full- and part-time employees at the long-delayed center, which the organization is promoting as a $3.1 billion economic catalyst for the Windy City’s South Side.

If the CIA was monitoring his contact with officials within Iran, this should NOT come as a surprise. Unfortunately, it sounds like those staffing issues are only getting worse. “Travelers are facing TSA lines of up to nearly three hours long at some major airports, causing missed flights and massive delays during peak travel,” the DHS said in a statement.

Electric vehicles are probably the vehicle of the future, but they are not the vehicle of the present. Let’s look at the numbers. An EV uses about six cents of electricity to go a mile. That’s if you charge it at home with inexpensive residential electricity rates. It’s more if you use a charging station, and it’s more if it’s a large vehicle like a Rivian. And by the way, be prepared to leave it plugged in for several hours to get it charged. Gasoline-powered cars use about thirteen cents of gasoline to go a mile, assuming gas is something over $3/gallon and you get something like 25 mpg.
