New York City's socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani ran on a platform of making things "free" and "affordable." That was a lie, of course. He has no authority to, for example, make the city's buses and subways "free" for commuters. In fact, a few days after he took office, the subway fare climbed to $3 per ride.
He also thinks he can make World Cup tickets "available to all New Yorkers," because — like all socialists — he has no idea how the real world actually work.
But his most nefarious plans come from housing. He and his housing/tenant advisor Cea Weaver, hate private property (yours, not theirs, of course)

An arrest has been made after a fire heavily damaged Mississippi’s largest synagogue in a pre-dawn blaze early Saturday morning.
Mississippi Today reports the historic Jewish place of worship in northeast Jackson is the same one the Ku Klux Klan bombed in 1967 because the rabbi supported civil rights.
The outlet notes the Jackson Fire Department, the FBI and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives arrested a suspect Saturday night in the latest blaze after the fire department ruled it arson, according to chief fire investigator Charles Felton.
The name of the suspect or the charges the person could face have not been released. No motive has been publicly notified.

Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) said Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) had been acting inhumanely and illegally.
Murphy said, “There have already been over a dozen shootings all across our country by ICE officers. The bottom line is that the way in which DHS is conducting itself today is making our communities less safe. It’s not adding to public safety.”
Host Kristen Welker said, “You posted online earlier this week, quote, Democrats cannot vote for a DHS budget that doesn’t restrain the growing lawlessness of this agency. You obviously know government funding runs out in less than three weeks.

The Trump administration’s decision to create a new Justice Department fraud division with a Senate-confirmed assistant attorney general has the right instinct and the right execution. Targeting fraud as a national priority is overdue. The structure of this new office will add clarity and independence to a section of crimes that often gets overlooked.
According to reports, the administration plans to install a new fraud chief with “nationwide jurisdiction over the issue of fraud,” operated directly out of the White House. That is not a small detail. It will help the Justice Department,

President Trump has kept his promise to seal the border upon resuming office in January of 2025. Illegal crossings are down significantly.
Four years of open borders under Biden resulted in millions of illegals entering the United States with no vetting or accountability whatsoever.
The result is a continuous pursuit of illegal aliens by law enforcement agencies such as ICE. There are also state agencies, such as the Texas DPS, which have worked with the Border Patrol to protect Americans from illegal alien criminals.

When protesters flood Iran’s streets demanding freedom, who benefits from convincing the world they’re chanting for a new Shah? As a fourth major uprising erupts across the country, a familiar deception is underway—one where the clerical regime and its supposed nemesis, Reza Pahlavi, share a common interest: erasing the democratic alternative from the narrative.
Protests began last weekend when shopkeepers and bazaar merchants launched an impromptu strike against an economic crisis that pushed inflation above 42 percent. Within days, demonstrations spread to universities and dozens of cities, with protesters explicitly calling for regime change.

During the period of the Scottish Enlightenment, the study of government and constitutions was undertaken as a cultural phenomenon, even as the fascinating ruins and relics of ancient societies were being unearthed in Italy and Greece. One scholar, Alexander Fraser Tytler, devoted his life to the study of the life span of history’s democracies, forming a theory based on the evidence: “A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury.”
In the United States, up until 1913, a federal budget was created by the representatives of the states in Congress,

The two key guidelines that have most impacted American food policy (and public health) for nearly 50 years were to limit total fat to no more than 30% and saturated fat to no more than 10% of calorie intake. These restrictions were set because it was thought that fat caused heart disease (in middle aged men). My PhD examined the evidence for those guidelines and the beliefs upon which they were based and found that they should not have been introduced – then or now. Other research teams have found the same.
There are three macronutrients: fat, protein and carbs.

While the news media is focused on the anti-ICE protests happening in Minnesota, there was another protest happening on the west coast that did not get nearly as much attention.
The people of the Pacific Palisades held a protest to speak out against the non-existent rebuilding in the area, a full year after wildfires destroyed thousands of homes and businesses.
The people there are demanding an end to red tape, fees, and other things standing in the way of recovery, as well as the leaders who are not doing their jobs.
The national media doesn’t want to cover this because the leaders in question are Democrats.

Paramount Skydance has now initiated what insiders are calling “Plan D” as they look to upend Netflix’s “winning” bid for Warner Bros. Discovery, The Post has learned.
It involves banging home to investors the immense amount of regulatory uncertainty involved in the Netflix deal and how that could spell trouble not just for the transaction but for Netflix itself, say sources close to the talks.
Plan A, of course, was trying to convince WBD CEO David Zaslav and his board led by Samuel DiPiazza that its $30-a-share, all-cash offer for the entire company was superior to Netflix’s $27.75 cash-and-stock deal for the Warner Bros. studio and HBO Max streaming service.

Earlier this week, Kevin Downey Jr. wrote about what he calls "affluent white liberal women," or AWFLs, pegging them as the biggest internal threat to America. Not foreign enemies. Not terror cells. Just well-off women with pronouns in their bios and too much time on their hands. He described them as attention-seeking harpies who push extreme gender ideology, drag their kids to medicalized gender clinics, and parade them at sexualized drag shows labeled as "family-friendly." These are the same people, he argued, who want to defund the police, defend criminals no matter how violent or foreign, and censor anyone who steps out of line with their diversity-and-inclusion gospel.

After an Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agent shot and killed a female who drove her vehicle into him on Wednesday, anti-ICE sentiment has risen to a fever pitch, fueled by the legacy media and Democrat politicians. They have argued, essentially, that the shooting means America can no longer enforce its immigration laws. What the incident actually highlights is the need for a just and effective crackdown on anti-ice obstruction, a crackdown that parallels the Jan. 6 manhunt, not for its corrupt politicization, but in its scale and effectiveness.

Even more chilling was the perpetrators’ evident glee: terrorists filmed and live-streamed their brutality, broadcasting scenes of barbarism across social media in real time.
Americans initially responded to the attacks with shock. In the days that followed, however, as Israel launched counterstrikes against Hamas in Gaza, Democrats’ early expressions of solidarity with the Jewish people began to give way to a more pronounced emphasis on the Palestinian cause —

Nebraska State Sen. Machaela Cavanaugh (D) was caught on camera tearing down a PragerU historical exhibit from the walls at the state capitol.
After receiving backlash on social media, the Democrat state senator told a local news outlet that she didn’t know what she was doing, insisting that she just saw material on the walls outside her office and tore it down, having no idea what the signage represented.
The conservative organization shared video footage of Sen. Cavanaugh ripping down its Founders Museum exhibit at Nebraska’s state capitol on Wednesday.

The brilliant U.S. action in Venezuela is causing major shifts in this hemisphere. Indeed, all the world seems atilt now from the Mideast to Europe, and as we near the mid-term elections, the Democrats seem to have lost it with all but the mentally handicapped.
The New World
Argentina, Chile, El Salvador, and Bolivia seem to have discarded the leftist, anti-American nonsense that has so hampered South America and kept it from achieving the promise of its abundant natural resources. With the capture of Maduro and restructuring of Venezuela, like dominoes cascading, much more of Latin America appears to follow.

The Democratic Socialists of America — for whom New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is a vocal supporter — and a Chinese Communist Party-linked activist network are leading a two-front resistance effort against President Donald Trump, with street protests seeking to blend efforts opposing ICE with the arrest of Venezuelan strongman Nicolás Maduro.
The coordinated organizational effort by the DSA and affiliated protest groups is fueled in large part by funding from CCP-linked wealthy Marxist businessman Neville Singham. That network produced a new slogan over the past few days — “No Wars. No Kings. No ICE.” — which sought to unite far-left protesters in their anti-Trump outrage and to encourage

ROSEVILLE, Minn. — More than one thousand people crammed into a Minnesota church Saturday for “training” in how to deal with ICE in the wake of Renee Nicole Good’s fatal shooting — during which the radical leftist organizer urged participants to annoy the agents like “mosquitoes.”
Program sponsor Monarca trains so-called “upstander legal observers” to follow, track, report, and record Department of Homeland Security officers while they are in the midst of operations, and urged the mostly white, middle-aged and elderly attendees to attend protests with gas masks, sunglasses and phone chargers. “And a pencil,” they said. “In Minnesota, bring a pencil; a pen will freeze.”

Colorado Governor Jared Polis said Wednesday he is weighing whether to grant clemency to Tina Peters, the former Mesa County clerk who is serving a nine-year prison sentence for 2020 election-related charges.
Polis told CBS Colorado that Peters received a "harsh” sentence and that officials regularly review long prison terms, especially older inmates, to assess their threat to public safety and whether they should spend their remaining years at home. Peters is in her 70s and is a cancer survivor.[snip] Last year, Trump asked Polis to transfer Peters to federal custody so he could pardon her, but Polis refused.

A harrowing eyewitness account from a Venezuelan guard who was on the ground when Operation Absolute Resolve hit — the mission to nab illegitimate then-president Nicolás Maduro — describes an unknown sonic weapon used by the U.S. against his security forces. According to the guard, the sonic blast caused them to experience headaches, disorientation, and vomiting of blood as they were completely incapacitated.
But is this report true? Did we unleash some heretofore unknown powerful weapon that literally floored much of the enemy before any shots were even fired?
In a Saturday social media post, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt seemed to imply that the answer was “yes.”

It's been a certainty for quite some time that many of the "protestors" tearing up the streets in Minneapolis and Portland, just to name a couple of (leftist) cities, were being paid to be there. Shadowy figures behind the scenes, who may or may not be named Soros, are funneling cash and strangely professional-looking signs into these riots. Ever notice how fast those strangely specific, professionally printed signs turn up? That can't be cheap.
There is also a guy who organizes protests-for-hire on the up and up. Every cat its own rat and all that, you know. His name is Adam Swart,
