The federal government spent tens of millions of dollars on gruesome and pointless experiments on animals from dogs to dolphins, according to 2025's "Festivus" report by Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., which uses the Seinfeld-invented Dec. 23 holiday to catalog more than $1.6 trillion in what he perceives as wasteful government spending.
Paul especially highlights animal experiments in the report, which credits investigations by the anti-animal testing White Coat Waste Project for bringing several to his attention. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth also credited WCW and Paul with exposing the Navy's sodomization of cats in last year's Festivus report.

It is an uncomfortable fact that the United States government was complicit in child trafficking during Operation Allies Refuge, the evacuation mission that began in July of 2021 when the United States withdrew from Afghanistan. What is most distressing is that the government quickly swept claims of forced marriage and sexual assaults under the rug. One thing that annoys me — despite fully understanding why it exists — is the two-step authentication now required for just about everything. I know it’s there for security and to prevent your life from being financially ruined, but it always seems to kick in at the worst possible moment. And trust me, I’m of an age and time when I easily carried fifty different phone numbers in my head. In the smartphone age, that ship has sailed.

President Donald Trump is continuing to ratchet up pressure on Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro, saying it would be "smart" for him to step down and warning him not to play "tough."
Trump, taking reporter questions at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida on Monday evening, was directly asked if his administration's ultimate goal in Venezuela is to force Maduro from power.
"Well, I think it probably would. I can't tell him. That's up to him what he wants to do. I think it would be smart for him to do that. But again, we're going to find out," Trump said.

More U.S. assets including special ops aircraft and troops arrived in the Caribbean this week as Donald Trump reiterated on Monday that ground-based operations targeting drug traffickers in Venezuela would soon begin, according to a Wall Street Journal analysis.
The newspaper cited U.S. officials as well as open-source flight data. The most recent deployments occurred this week, according to the Journal, days before the Christmas holiday and occurring as the president unveiled his plans for new “Trump-class” warships during a special announcement from Palm Beach, Florida, with his top Cabinet aides, including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

Washington — The Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected a bid by the Trump administration to deploy National Guard members to the Chicago area while a legal challenge moves forward, delivering a setback to President Trump in his effort to use federalized troops in Illinois to ensure enforcement of federal immigration laws.
The high court left untouched a judge's decision blocking the government from putting National Guard members on the streets of Chicago and surrounding areas. The Trump administration had urged the Supreme Court to allow the extraordinary move to deploy the troops over the objection of Illinois' Democratic governor, arguing that federal courts cannot second-guess

Senator Rand Paul (R., Ky.) released a report Tuesday detailing $1.6 trillion in government waste, in keeping with his annual “Festivus” tradition of airing grievances against wasteful federal spending.
A whopping $1.2 trillion of that wasteful spending is interest payments on the ballooning national debt, according to the report, which contains numerous examples of government programs Paul considers to be useless and fiscally irresponsible.

California’s outrageous law hiding “gender transitions” of kids from parents just took a massive hit in a district court ruling.
The California law mandating that teachers hide gender transitions from parents if the parents do not support radical LGBTQ ideology is unconstitutional, as a new U.S. District Court ruling from Judge Roger Benitez found.
Legal expert Jonathan Turley noted that the U.S. Supreme Court has repeatedly cited inherent parental rights, and that Benitez relied on one such ruling in issuing his own decision.

We should have free health care. Just like Canada.
This ‘free health care’ comes with a 3 month wait time for a referral to a specialist, and another 3 months to get treated, with 2 month wait times for a CT scan, 4 months for an MRI and over a month for an ultrasound. Mostly it’s just easier not to bother. Half a million Canadians left ERs without seeing a doctor. And, in one year, over 23,000 patients died waiting for surgery.
While it may take months to see a specialist, “the median wait time between first request and referral was 1 day” for Canada’s free death health care

Of course, it’s entirely possible that the guy was the pinnacle of health and fitness, with a lower cholesterol level than me. It’s possible he’ll live to 100, smoking Marlboros and gorging on Arby’s long after we’re all dead and buried.

If nothing comes of Fulton County's admission, the implication will be that election laws can be treated as optional rather than binding. Fulton County made an admission that should have commanded national attention. During a hearing before the Georgia State Election Board, county officials acknowledged that approximately 315,000 early ballots cast in the 2020 presidential election were unlawfully certified yet were nevertheless included in Georgia's final, official results, in a race Joe Biden was officially declared to have won by just 11,779 votes.

Timing is everything in humor, and in politics. So, it was particularly amusing to read a piece in MS NOW on Monday quoting Democrats who were all singing from the same hymnal – namely that President Donald Trump “owns the economy.”
‘When you take office, you take ownership,’ Rep. Rosa DeLauro, D-Conn., told MS NOW. ‘That’s what leadership is about.’
‘It became Trump’s economy a long time ago,’ Rep. Adam Smith, D-Wash., said.
Obviously, these Democrats meant it in a bad way.
But then, on Tuesday, the Bureau of Economic Analysis released its estimate for GDP growth

Rather than reforming the broken system, Democratic "leaders" kick the can, forcing private-sector job creators to subsidize their failures. California stands alone as the only state in the nation failing to repay its massive federal pandemic-era unemployment loan, now ballooning beyond $20 billion and projected to climb higher. While every other state responsibly used its pandemic funds to settle their debts, Governor Newsom (D) and the Democrat-controlled Legislature chose to spend like drunken sailors, leaving employers -- large and small -- to bear the crushing burden through skyrocketing payroll taxes.

The state of California, under the direction of woke Gov. Gavin Newsom, state Attorney General Rob Bonta, and the far-left legislature, passed a law in July 2024 — AB 1955 — which required teachers to affirm students’ gender identities but keep any changes secret from the parents. In other words, they demanded that teachers lie. Bad news for the gender extremists in the Golden State, of which there are many — U.S. District Court Judge Roger Benitez issued a summary judgment Monday, ruling that the law is unconstitutional.

A few days ago, the Federalist reported that Fulton County, Georgia, had over 300,000 illegal early-vote ballots during the 2020 election. The votes were illegal because they were unsupported by poll worker signatures (contrary to Georgia law). In other words, the vote totals were miraculously born without a mother or father.
Independent analysts have known of this evidence for years. Indeed, a reference to the phony 2020 votes is included on page 108 of my book (Debunked?), which was published three years ago:
“All but two of the early vote tabulator closing tapes for 350,000 votes were unsigned. Thus, there was no chain of custody for those files.”

The wholesale adoption of diversity, equity and inclusion ideology in almost all our major institutions has done untold damage to American society.
It was advertised as something noble — a way to open opportunities for women and minorities who had been unfairly denied them.
But through a combination of bureaucratic laziness and political malice, DEI soon became something approaching a ban on hiring millennial white males at the beginning of their careers.
The harm goes far beyond the wreckage it imposed on those young men.

At the gut level, most of our politics can be reduced to a simple question: “Whose fault is it?” Conservatives and liberals blame one another, nationalists point the finger at globalists, and for the woke left, it’s always the fault of straight white men. In the fever swamps of the internet, an age-old answer is now growing in popularity: the Jews. Indeed, in the past year or so, it has become impossible not to notice the number of influencers—led by Tucker Carlson, Nick Fuentes, and Candace Owens—who are aggressively pushing, with varying degrees of subtlety, what the kids call the “Jewish Question,” or JQ for short.

This is part of the broader reshuffling of our political alignment.
Lawyers have become Democrats, not because they have been reading Marx or Foucault, or because Barack Obama made brilliant arguments (just kidding), but rather because they realized that it is the Democrats who

The office of El Salvador’s attorney general announced on Sunday that 248 members of the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang were sentenced to up to 1,335 years in prison for multiple crimes.
Collectively, all 248 MS-13 members were convicted of roughly 240 different counts of crimes committed between 2014 and 2022.
The attorney general’s office published a breakdown of the sentencing and additional information in a series of social media posts in which it detailed that among the most serious crimes committed by the convicted criminals is the December 2021 disappearance and murder of siblings Karen and Eduardo Guerrero Toledo, the October 2021 disappearance and murder of Salvadoran soccer player Jimena Granados,

An illegal alien is accused of murdering a 66-year-old cab driver in upstate New York, a sanctuary jurisdiction, after a dispute over cab fare.
Santos Paulino Vasquez-Ramirez, a 28-year-old illegal alien from Guatemala, has been arrested by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and charged with second-degree murder and first-degree robbery.
According to police, on December 1, 66-year-old Aurelio Zhunio-Orbez was driving his cab when he picked up Vasquez-Ramirez in Brewster, New York. Later that day, Zhunio-Orbez’s cab was found abandoned in a nearby parking lot.
On December 7, Zhunio-Orbez’s body was found in the Croton Falls Reservoir.
Police later arrested Vasquez-Ramirez and said that the illegal alien confessed to strangling Zhunio-Orbez, killing him,

Nothing quite says "Biden Border Crisis" like an *alleged* member of an MS-13 assassin squad — who is internationally known as "Fantasma," no less — being arrested by ICE and its law enforcement partners... in Nebraska.
Honduran national Gerson Emir Cuadra Soto, wanted for a brutal quadruple homicide in his home country, is a convicted killer who broke out of prison and illegally slipped across the Southern Border during the heyday of former President Joe Biden's intentional, disastrous open-border policy that saw millions of illegal aliens stroll into our country, most of them unchecked.

It wouldn't be December if some Leftist politician somewhere weren't waging a war on Christmas. In South Carolina, Miko Pickett, the mayor of Mullins, ordered the city to remove a public Nativity scene, "citing concerns about residents of other faiths and beliefs in the community."
Thankfully, the town council and defied Pickett's order. [Tweets]
Here's more:
A small South Carolina town committee refused to remove a Nativity scene from a market parking lot after the mayor ordered it taken down from public property.

Remember those “No Kings” protests? You may not, they weren’t really relevant to people who shower and have kissed someone of the opposite sex, but to the left, they were the closest they could get to having friends or family. And since these people are otherwise devoid of meaning in their lives, they’re getting the band back together in 2026.
An email from “Our Revolution,” the anti-American group Bernie Sanders turned his campaign apparatus into, announced “The Next No Kings Day Is ON – We Need You to Power It.”
It was, like pretty much everything from the left, a plea for money. In it, however, the organizers of American destruction

President Donald Trump got some good news to kick off his week: his approval rating has now hit 50%, giving him a net approval of plus 9 points. Not too shabby. What makes this even more satisfying is that liberals all over the country are stomping around like preschoolers who were denied cookies for their morning snack.
The new numbers also shoot holes through the left's propaganda claiming Americans aren’t pleased with the work Trump has done during the first year of his term. Nothing could be further from the truth. Look at the crime rates in major cities in the U.S. They have taken a drastic plunge

A violent serial offender who drove a screw into a stranger’s eye is now confirmed as “transgender.”
Some criminals appear to understand that leftists will be even more lenient to them if they pretend to be LGBTQ, because they then identify as victims instead of victimizers. Is that the case with Fale Vaigalepa Pea, facing charges for gouging out a random elderly woman’s eye? Or was Pea already claiming to be “transgender,” and this fed his mental illness and consequent violence?

He’s a convicted felon, you know. Never mind that the felonies were actually misdemeanors, elevated to felonies solely for the purpose of enabling Democrats to call President Donald Trump a felon. Never mind that the other things they’ve tried to hang on Trump are equally as shaky. The charges against Trump, from “insurrection” and “Russian collusion” on down, have all been political tools designed solely to discredit and destroy him, with the primary purpose of preventing him from being reelected in 2024.
Well, there he is, back in the Oval Office, but that doesn’t mean that this effort is over. It is still widely assumed, despite Nancy Pelosi’s recent denial,

Another bizarre piece of the Clinton-Epstein puzzle has come to light. And I have questions.
According to a report from the New York Times, Bill Clinton’s FBI sat on a bombshell complaint about Jeffrey Epstein for nearly a decade. This revelation has me wondering whether Bill Clinton's cozy relationship with the pedophile financier played any role in that inexcusable inaction.
Former Epstein employee Maria Farmer filed a formal report with the FBI on September 3, 1996, alleging that Epstein possessed child pornography and threatened to burn down her house if she spoke out. Yet, federal authorities under the Clinton administration did absolutely nothing with the information for almost 10 years.
