Brown University placed its campus police chief on administrative leave Monday as it undergoes a comprehensive review of its security protocols and response to the Dec. 13 shooting that left two students dead and nine injured.
The school’s president, Christina Paxton, announced several actions in an email to the Brown University community Monday night, including an “After-Action Review” of the shooting, which will entail “a complete assessment and evaluation of campus safety in the period leading up to the tragedy, the preparedness and response on the date of the shooting, and the emergency management response in the aftermath.”

Last week, we published an analysis of President Donald Trump’s affordability speech by guest contributor Bob Maistros, who used his decades of communications, political, and speechwriting experience to argue that the speech missed the mark.
Bob’s piece got picked up by some other conservative blogs, which resulted in a flurry of negative comments on our sites and others. Comments along the lines of:
“You are simply a hater as well as absolutely wrong. President Trump, on the other hand is absolutely correct. MAGA all day every day.”
“Really? We’re talking about ‘tone’? That’s the bailiwick of unserious people. Y’know, like Obama.”

Disgraced first son Hunter Biden turned on his father, Joe, in a wide-ranging podcast interview this week, acknowledging that the 46th president’s lax immigration policy and move to pull US forces out of Afghanistan were both catastrophic failures.
We need vibrant immigration,” the 55-year-old told “The Shawn Ryan Show” during a five-and-a-half-hour conversation that dropped Monday.
“But we don’t want immigrants that are coming here illegally, draining us of resources, and being prioritized above people that are actual, literal heroes, that are still recovering from 21, 20 years of endless war — or anybody else in our society.”

Michigan’s “disastrous” ranked-choice voting drive is dead — for now. And Wolverine State election-integrity warriors can take a bow for killing it.
Organizers of Rank MI Vote, the group behind a campaign to bring the alternative voting system that liberals love to the purple state, is “pausing signature gathering efforts,” Bridgemi.com reported. The petition drive was a long way from reaching the 446,198 signatures needed to bring a RCV constitutional amendment question to the November 2026 ballot.
“We were sensing the RCV folks were losing momentum,” Darlene Hennessy, a Wayne County volunteer who led Michigan Fair Elections Institute’s opposition movement, said in an MFEI post.

President Trump revealed that he does not like the Justice Department’s release of embarrassing photos of a half-naked Bill Clinton swimming with late sex predator Jeffrey Epstein’s madam, Ghislaine Maxwell.
“No, I don’t like the pictures of Bill Clinton being shown,” he told reporters Monday. “I don’t like the pictures of other people being shown. I think it’s a terrible thing.”
“But you probably have pictures being exposed of other people that innocently met Jeffrey Epstein years ago.” Former President Bill Clinton is seen in an image from the Epstein files dump with a blurred-out person nearby.

As we reported, the head honcho at CBS News, editor-in-chief Bari Weiss, pulled a 60 Minutes story about illegal aliens Sunday night, and the folks on the left are losing their minds. The piece was supposed to be about the treatment of illegal aliens in the CECOT prison in El Salvador. 60 Minutes correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi complained in an email that leaked out to the public that it was more of a "political call" than an editorial decision to kill the story. READ MORE: Meltdown at CBS News:
But editor in chief Bari Weiss nuked the whining, saying the piece wasn't ready.

Óscar Pérez-Oliva Fraga, great-nephew of the dictators Fidel and Raúl Castro, has been appointed deputy to the National Assembly of People's Power in a session marked by inexplicable resignations of several parliamentarians.
This appointment, which took place on December 17, 2025, is not a mere bureaucratic procedure, but a strategic step that legally enables him to run for the presidency of the Republic in the upcoming sham elections of 2028, perpetuating the legacy of communist oppression on the island.

Immigration & Sexual Violence – Nothing to See Here!
Britain is now the sort of country where you can get an instant answer to ‘What is the carbon footprint of a sausage roll?’. Yet if you ask, ‘Are we importing risk to women along with importing people?’ our nation state stares at its shoes and starts muttering about ‘complexity’.
Let us begin with two official lines that any half-awake citizen can see are rising at the same time.
Line one, sexual violence. The ONS crime bulletin for the year ending June 2025 reports 211,225 sexual offences recorded by the police in England and Wales are up 9% from the previous year.

America has long been a beacon of freedom to the oppressed, a shining symbol of liberty with – as our leftist friends tell us – an unlimited moral obligation to provide perpetual shelter to anyone who suffers at the hands of their government. Millions of people from around the world have ignored that irritating asylum requirement that you apply at the first country you reach and have come all the way over here to America in a quest to quench their yearning for being free (as well as their yearning to turn our country into the same kind of garbage hellhole they allegedly fled from, but that’s another column).

The son of a former ambassador from Iran to Australia posted a cryptic threat on X hours before the Islamic terrorist father-and-son team attacked Jewish-Australian celebrants at an iconic beach in New South Wales, Australia. In his tweet, Ahmad Ghadiri Abyaneh, son of former ambassador Mohammad-Hassan Ghadiri Abyaneh, attacked Jews for celebrating a “satanic ritual” by honoring Chanukah. He claimed that these Jewish holiday celebrations required an active defense, quoting Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, who called for “societal defense.”
The most recent ambassador from Iran, Ahmad Sadeghi, was expelled from Australia because of the Iranian embassy’s sponsorship of at least two violent anti-Semitic incidents in Australia.

Imagine if your 15-year-old came to my house, and I gave them a book about edgy sex positions? What if I gave your 16-year-old a book with graphic illustrations of oral or anal sex?
Would you be happy with that? Or would you be mighty suspicious of me?
Many parents may not know it, but there is an ongoing fight over certain books and whether they should be given to minors without their parents’ knowledge or consent. That’s what the American Library Association wants. The ALA recently launched a nationwide campaign against so-called “book bans,” with ALA President Sam Helmick (they/them) saying it is about the “freedom to read.”

CBS pulled a “60 Minutes” segment on Venezuelan migrants who were sent to El Salvador’s notorious maximum-security prison, CECOT, just hours before its scheduled Sunday broadcast time.
“The broadcast lineup for tonight’s edition of 60 Minutes has been updated,” the program posted in an Editor’s Note on social media three hours before it was set to air.
“Our report ‘Inside CECOT’ will air in a future broadcast,” the post said. The episode, which was scheduled to air at 7:30 ET on Sunday, was set to show correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi interviewing recently released deportees who experienced “brutal and torturous” conditions at the hellhole prison,
