Why Qatar Should Have No Role in Gaza

Original Article

The meeting underscores Qatar's apparent eagerness to play a central role in post-war Gaza. As a long-time supporter and funder of the Muslim Brotherhood organization, the Qatari regime's main goal seems to be ensuring that Hamas remains in power in the Gaza Strip. Hamas describes itself as "one of the wings of the Muslim Brotherhood in Palestine." One does not need to be an "expert" to understand that Qatar, despite its attempt to present itself as a neutral mediator between Israel and Hamas over the past two years, continues to be affiliated with the extremist ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas.

Leftist goes down in flames in Honduras

Election authorities in Honduras said Monday morning that the conservative former mayor endorsed by President Trump and a sportscaster rival were virtually tied in a presidential election that many predicted would be volatile even before Mr. Trump weighed in on the race. The preliminary and partial results showed that Mr. Trump’s pick, Nasry Asfura, and the sportscaster, Salvador Nasralla, were in the lead, with ballots from nearly 56 percent of polling places counted. The candidate for the left-wing party in power, Rixi Moncada, was trailing far behind, the early results showed, with around half the votes cast for each of the right-wing candidates.
The War in Ukraine: Lots of Questions

Why did the war in Ukraine start in 2021? As in 2008 and 2012, but unlike 2017 to 2021, Vladimir Putin sensed an American president would not or could not deter him, so he invaded a former Soviet republic. Under past presidents, Putin saw no downside to grabbing Ossetia, the Donbas, and Crimea. Putin was also led to believe the West or Joe Biden would not challenge him following the recent humiliating U.S. withdrawal from Kabul. Biden’s unfortunate remark that a “minor” Russian invasion might not invoke a U.S. response did not help.Based on past experience, Putin saw no real obstacle to a quick victory. Why didn’t NATO deter Russia?

Progressives like to talk about the ‘authoritarian Right’ as if it arrived from outer space in a red baseball cap. In reality, parties like AfD in Germany, Wilders’s PVV in the Netherlands, Le Pen’s National Rally in France, Meloni’s Brothers for Italy and Farage’s Reform in the UK are a delayed reaction to something that happened first. They are what you get when a self-anointed elite decides to rewrite the moral software of Western civilisation, then calls anyone who objects a bigot. Every civilisation runs on an operating system. In the West it is a messy yet effective fusion of Judeo-Christian ethics and Enlightenment rationalism.
Wisconsin’s Lib-Led Supreme Court Stacks

While milquetoast Republicans experience a collective tummy ache over the “fairness” of mid-decade redistricting, Democrats nationally are feasting on power-grabbing gerrymanders. The latest outflanking comes — not surprisingly — from Wisconsin’s liberal-controlled Supreme Court. Just before the Thanksgiving holiday, the Badger State’s court of last resort ordered the creation of judicial panels to hear two lawsuits seeking to undo Wisconsin’s existing congressional maps, in which six of eight House seats are held by Republicans. Interestingly, the district lines were drawn by a committee whose members were appointed by Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers, a far-left Democrat.

President Trump is obviously angered by inflation in health insurance, calling carriers “money sucking.” Major benefit consultants including Aon and WTW are forecasting employer costs for providing coverage in 2026 will rise from 9.5% to 10.3%. Economists worry that working Americans will suffer wage stagnation in a growing economy because higher premiums force employers to shift the costs of coverage to employees via higher deductibles and out-of-pocket payments. This presents a smoldering political problem for the president as Zohran Mamdani’s win in New York City suggests “affordability” could become the watchword of a Democratic socialist midterm success. The recent government shutdown was all about the affordability of health insurance.

The White House released information Monday on the MRI exam President Trump underwent following weeks of media speculation — declaring Trump, 79, to be in “excellent overall health.” Presidential physician Dr. Sean Barbabella released a memo describing the October exam as standard and its findings as “perfectly normal.” “As part of President Donald J. Trump’s comprehensive executive physical, advanced imaging was performed because men in his age group benefit from a thorough evaluation of cardiovascular and abdominal health,” Barbabella wrote.

The left has gone way off the rails with their anti-ICE actions. Even after attacks on ICE facilities that have left people dead, you still have radical anti-ICE crews wreaking havoc in places like New York City, trying to stop ICE from carrying out its mission. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has made it clear: the radicals aren't going to stop them. Apparently, the radicals heard that the federal agents might be conducting another operation on Canal Street, an area ICE has hit in the past. So about 150 people tried to block agents from getting out of a garage of a federal building,

This past week, President Donald J. Trump did something no other president has done in American history: he placed back-to-back calls with the leader of Communist China, General Secretary Xi Jinping, and then with Japan’s Prime Minister Takaichi Sanae. The President’s decision to make these calls on November 24 enhanced America’s national security by bringing Japan, our treaty ally, front and center into U.S.–China relations amidst increasing regional security concerns over Beijing’s potential invasion of Taiwan. The unprecedented nature and the importance of President Trump’s calls are best understood in the historical context of what is characterized by the “China Hands” as The Relationship.

While there is much to agree with in the final report of the review of the English national curriculum, titled ‘Building a world-class curriculum for all’, there is also much of concern. Descriptions like “crucial knowledge”, “critical knowledge” and “knowledge-rich”, while clichéd, represent a welcome focus on content instead of vacuous inquiry-based, process and child-centred learning. The report is correct when it argues, “In a world of rapid technological, environmental and social change, subject-specific knowledge remains the best investment.” Similarly, the report’s suggestion that skills and capabilities “arise from and are situated within, a knowledge-rich Curriculum” is welcomed as cognitive research has long proven this is the most effective way to learn.

I almost took the week off, but there are things that I feel are important to mention before we head into the weekend... and December. Venezuela Venezuela is dominating the news cycle, and rightfully so.

The Justice Department’s prosecution of former FBI Director James Comey is facing death by a thousand procedural errors. Federal judges overseeing the criminal case have increasingly raised concerns about the department’s efforts to investigate and indict the adversary of President Trump, from the evidence presented to grand jurors to the prosecutor who made the government’s case. Any one of the issues could do away with Comey’s charges before he’s ever put on trial. “This is what happens when you try to make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear,” said Barbara McQuade, a former U.S. attorney.

Billboards are popping up outside Fort Bragg and Camp Lejeune urging soldiers to disobey orders. “Marines: Not what you signed up for?” asks one. “Did You Go Airborne Just To Pull Security for ICE?” asks another one. The website urges soldiers to use encryption and offers ‘counselling’ on ‘disobeying immoral orders’. The organizations offering ‘counselling’ to soldiers include the National Lawyers Guild: a Communist organization which also defends Antifa. The billboards are promoting a system that, in its own words, is “built to connect active duty, national guard, and reserve members of the military with key resources on responding to unlawful orders”. Team Trump is finally going straight for the pressure point nobody in the political class ever wants to talk about… remittances. And if the plan works the way it’s designed, the gravy train that’s been draining American communities for decades is about to go belly up. Before we get into the details of what President Trump wants to do and why, we need to talk about what “remittances” actually are. Because most Americans don’t realize just how massive this system is or how much of our economy has been very quietly bleeding out thanks to it. Remittances are simple: illegals come here, take jobs, use our schools, hospitals, roads, and services,
