DENVER (KDVR) — There’s going to be a new bathhouse in the city. Picture the communal bathhouses that date back centuries, but modern with an urban garden with saunas, mineral pools and even a geothermal well to heat the tubs. That’s the plan for the area around Osage Street and Colfax Avenue. It’s known as Coba Bathhouse and was created with the idea of bringing people back together. Colorado locals Memphis Orion, the CEO, Jon Medina, the CCO and Adam Lerner, the chief strategic officer are shaping the bathhouse to do just that.

Obis's next rental home: Denver.
Did you know that Maizie Hirono's mom owned and ran a bathhouse in Honolulu...?

I never understood the attraction of stripping down naked in a communal setting to sit in a hot house. Perhaps there are activities going on not mentioned in the press release?

I'm with #3. Seems like the attraction would be only for those of a certain ilk.

I can think of several other (better) ways to "bring people together". My first thought was this bathhouse is intended to be gay-centric and a good place for those of that persuasion to hook up. Seriously, how many straight people will want to partake of its amenities?

Bringing “people” back together? Spare me. We all know what this is and what it’s for. I have no doubt the governor and his “husband” will be frequent patrons.

A straight person wouldn't go anywhere near a "bath house." This construction is one purpose, and one purpose only. Maybe Barry Soetoro will fly in and sample the goods.

Years ago at a naive, tender age, I went to the 'Y' in the city I was staying for a few days with a friend who said we could get a free or guest swim or something. Once was enough. A five minute dunk and we made a hasty retreat.

Paedophile Central, Denver could be overtaking San Francisco in that metric. Maybe that's where the 400,000 missing children, under Biden's watch, will be located.

In normal times, normal communities built YMCAs. Now there are endless ads on TV touting drugs that cure AIDS. No doubt that bath houses are in for big comeback.

Dad said he went to a Japanese bath house during the Korean war. They had to take a shower and be clean before going in. Whole families would be splashing around. Then, one day, he saw a closed sign until further notice. He was told an old lady died in the bath so it had to be emptied and refilled. Those weren't the bath houses we associate with the aids epidemic.

My sister, a Navy wife, took her toddler son with her to a Japanese bathhouse in the ‘70’s. He went running away from his mom, smacking the posteriors of the Japanese ladies as he went! She had to leave early with that little brat.
