FBI Director Kash Patel is facing withering criticism from an alliance of active-duty and retired agents and analysts, days after the White House denied media reports that the president is about to fire him.
A troubling new report card on the first six months of Patel’s leadership concludes he is “in over his head” and his deputy, Dan Bongino, is “something of a clown,” according to the alliance, which in two previous reports warned about crippling DEI and politicization of the FBI during the Biden administration.
The Patel-led FBI is described in the 115-page report as a “rudderless ship” and “all f–ked up.”
Patel is described by multiple internal sources as inexperienced,

I wonder if these "Retired Agents" are the very same who said nothing about ALL the ILLEGAL anti-American activities of the last 16 years. Did these scum spy on Americans, Subvert the Constitution, Aid and Abet the weaponization of the FBI against Amrica?

It's hard to tell the truth on this one, Are these ex=agents the deep state agents that worked for Biden?

1# has something there. Remember Brennan and the so call intelligence group? Same could be happening in the retired FBI arena. Let's see what Bongino and Patel has for us in the near future. They have a lot of cleaning to do in the FBI. There is still A LOT of prior administration clowns in management positions.

Deep state bureaucrats fighting to retain control. Think Comey.
Pournelle’s Iron Law of Bureaucracy:
In any bureaucratic organization there will be two kinds of people: those who work to further the actual goals of the organization, and those who work for the organization itself. Examples in education would be teachers who work and sacrifice to teach children, vs. union representative who work to protect any teacher including the most incompetent. The Iron Law states that in all cases, the second type of person will always gain control of the organization, and will always write the rules under which the organization functions.

A whole lot of 'opinions' and very zero facts. So he was upset over patches. Would these same agents be reporting to the media that the POTUS (regardless of party) be considered 'rudderless' if he demanded he appear as the POTUS with appropriate apparel? Why should any other head of a goobernment branch be blamed for upholding the dignity of the office they hold? This is crybaby, I want to take my ball and go home petty propaganda. Just what one expects from the Kneepad Media.

Tell us something we didn't already know. My suggestion would be to shut the whole shebang down and start over. Top and bottom. Hiring teachers? The most leftist people around. MSNBC and CNN on TV in FBI offices? Shut it down. It can't be fixed.

That’s funny. There were no “reports” from the Alphas when Comey and Wray ran the FBI. Hmmm…

Notice that the alliance of active-duty and retired agents and analysts said the report “was never intended to be a hit piece in any way, shape or form.” But if the report is fair and balanced why did the authors make a preemptive denial? I think they “protest too much.”

Impossible to tell what's happening there. I would have liked to see action taken against leaders who allowed/organized the corrupt prosecutions. Until I see that I have to assume little is being done. I haven't been happy with what I've seen so far.

#4 Yep. Every endeavor is initiated by someone dedicated to solving an issue. Eventually grifters and zealots will join the effort and change the scope and goals. The Peter Principle arises and the need to justify one's position and compensation becomes tge goal.. I see it manifested in the school systems when excellent teachers are promoted out of the classroom jnto administration. I personally witnessed outstanding engineers become incompetent managers.

#4 has a great point. The public school system gets most of our young people first and preps them to become leftists so they can hit the ground running when they graduate. Those who can actually think for themselves and learn something useful become patriotic citizens. When my own kids were in school, the worst teacher in the entire school was the union president. At every contract renewal, salary and benefits went up and standardized test results went down. Their secret was total control of the school board.

My limited by no personal contact opinion is Bongino has been fully muzzled. He does not appear to have the fire and voice of 2 years ago before he was tapped for service. Kash has never made sense, and most often comes off as a sock puppet. I do not understand what these fellows are doing for law and order besides being conservative icons. What next? Joe Rogan for FBI director? Nope, I think he’s too smart to fall for that trap.

Prior to Kash Patel the FBI was one of the least regarded, most contemptuous organizations in the federal government. Sounds like some butt hurt former agents are wishing for the good old days.

I find it hard to place much credence in the words of people who could find no greater threat to the republic in the previous administration than Catholics who attended church services delivered in Latin. To paraphrase Bongino's own words, he (and Patel) might not be the solution to the FBI's problems, but the line Wray-Comey line and their willing lineage of subordinates are most certainly the cause.

Assuming that this report is "true," which I don't, Patel and Bongino are far away better than the last three leadership teams at the FBI (Wray, Comey, Mueller).

It would have been nice to see this before the petty kvetching about the
FBI jacket:
"But, to demonstrate the internal resistance facing Patel, the report says “Trump Derangement Syndrome” remains alive and well under “left-leaning factions embedded within the ranks of the FBI,” and FBI personnel “openly express disdain” for the president.
One source blames past recruitment policies, which prioritized hiring teachers “who were more ‘left’ leaning in their personal views.” "
A fair number o these "formers" have o be Comey loyalists. I wonder if Patel and Bongino realizeed how biased and sick the FBI still is.

So, one of the beefs is that Kash didn't have an FBI jacket when he showed up in Utah following Charlie Kirk's murder?
Oh the shame and humanity! (Sarcasm key now OFF.)
Listen, if I were anything from the senior FBI agent in charge down to the FBI janitor at the Podunk, Utah office, and Kash didn't have an FBI jacket for a media op, I'd be sure I found one for him quick. And I'd say the same thing even for the three doofuses that ran the FBI before him.
