The Marjorie Taylor Greene New Deal

Original Article

Since Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) first arrived in Congress five years ago, she has been portrayed by the Washington press corps as a comic figure. They routinely mocked her for questioning mask mandates and accused her of spreading QAnon conspiracy theories. During recent weeks, after her falling out with President Trump over the fabled Epstein files, the oracles of the corporate “news” media have had an epiphany concerning Greene’s importance to the GOP. Following her announcement last Friday evening that she will resign from the House of Representatives effective January 5, they discovered she is an important political figure .

This article has some truth to it. MTG is a very strong woman. I don't agree with her all the time, but we need stronger people like her in the House and Senate. We have weak people in the GOP like Mike Johnson. You can also throw in Jim Jordan, all Jim does is pound the desk and yells but NOTHING comes of it. I'm very disappointed in the GOP that I have been debating changing my party to Independent. The GOP has become an embarrassment in both the House and Senate. Then you have Crazy Crockett on the Democrat side that she needs to be put in her place with her off the wall lies. I have not heard one Republican Senator challenge those off the wall democrat Senators telling the Millitary to disobey "ILLEGAL" orders. Where are the Republican Senators asking them WHAT illegal orders. All I hear are crickets. We are also getting sick and tired of the backroom deals that both the House and Senate does to protect those that are elected to office when they break the law. Yes, I'm sick of politics.

It is easy to know exactly what the "politicians" are fighting for. MTG entered her political career being worth $700,000. She is leaving with a nice bank account of $27 million. It's the money stupid. First and foremost money in their pockets. Politics is just a side event for them as a means to their wealth. Why else would people fight so hard to win a seat that pays $174,000? To help America in general? I don't think so. Pelosi is the queen of illegal stock trading but a lot of people have gained a lot of money who are being overlooked.

As is the case with Trump, you can like the personality or be irked by it. But she is right about the fact that withholding the information that our government got from the Epstein raids is protecting deep state players. It is total BS that they want to protect innocent people. Epstein was the blackmailer, and now those holding those videos and pictures are the blackmailers.

MTG has the occasional spark of intelligence but her love of theater overpowers it. She may resign but like many of the other species of toe fungus that have left official government, she will keep coming back.

Wow - #2 - I looked upon your figures and you are correct. As for the Republicans in Congress - it's all about tradition and reaching across the aisle to the scum that will bite your hand off.

I've pointed this out before, but it's worth repeating: The Democrats are the murderers of the U.S., while the Republicans gleefully open all the door for the murderers and then stand their watching as they loudly protest against it. The majority of Republicans are just as keen for the one-world order (and the demise of America) as the Dims are, but the Republicans can't say it out loud. Meanwhile, they work behind our backs to destroy the country.

I’m less irritated that MTG’s date of resignation was made so she can get the pension than that her departure diminishes the GOP’s thin majority by one. The voters who put her in office a year ago expected her to fill out her term. She has betrayed them.

She could at least honor her commitment and finish out the term she was elected to serve. That leaves the number of republicans with one less person. She is eligible for her pension on Jan. 3 and she is leaving on Jan. 5. She can forget about ever running for another office.

It took me months to understand the whole concept of "woke right," and, to be honest, I still dislike the description because it takes so long to grasp. While I basically agree with James Lindsey's arguments, it's a branding fail. Memes should be intuitive, IMHO. So what IS the woke right, and why would I put Tucker Carlson, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Candace Owens, Nick Fuentes, and Andrew Tate in that category, along with others? "Woke" is not so much an ideology in itself, although it is easy to think so since it has been so long associated with leftism and Cultural Marxism. Woke is, instead, a type

This escalated quickly. I'm not sure if you all remember hearing the phrase, something like '$40M a week is still going to the Taliban.' Sounds incredible, right? Like, how could that possibly be?Well, it turns out to be entirely possible and partially true, and it all blew up this week with a report of a shipment of $45M in cold hard American greenbacks that was rumored to have been flown out to the murderous goatherders running Afghanistan. The information everyone was seeing indicated it was funds the U.S. government was sending, much like the fabled 'pallets of cash' of old. Naturally, everyone righteously lost their collective minds reading headlines like these.

The New Yorker at 100, a new documentary airing on Netflix, has a lot going for it. The impressive history of the legendary magazine, going back to the 1920s, is recounted, and great contemporary writers, like music critic Kelefa Sanneh, are interviewed. Where it falls down is in avoiding the New Yorker’s worst mistakes, namely falling for Russiagate and perpetuating the Brett Kavanaugh fiasco. It’s a shame, because The New Yorker at 100 does cop to serious mistakes - most obviously, the fact, revealed years later, that parts of Truman Capote’s 1965 crime story In Cold Blood were made up.

From the moment Elon Musk began musing about buying Twitter in 2022, the left began warning that his pledge to restore free speech to the social media platform was a threat to democracy. To most Americans this claim had a distinctly Orwellian ring and very few voters shared the fear that the platform could be used by conservative extremists to spread “disinformation” that would present a danger to the republic. What the left really feared, of course, was that Musk would reveal that Twitter was an integral part of the censorship-by-proxy strategy used by the government to silence inconvenient speech.

As soon as Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris chose Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz to be her vice presidential nominee in 2024, I gagged and shook my head. I grew up in Minnesota and had a lovely childhood there. It's filled with kind, hardworking people. Beautiful lakes dot the land, and winter can be magical (though long). It's still ranked one of the healthiest states to live in. But I wouldn't live there now, even if Walz himself paid me millions to move back to the North Star State and personally escorted me

It should be obvious even to the most obtuse Republican in the Senate that the Democrats will eventually regain another governing trifecta in Washington and will shortly thereafter nuke the legislative filibuster. They have pledged to do so in order to pass several pieces of controversial legislation, and would have done it already had it not been for West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin and Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema. Consequently, Senate Republicans should “nuke” the filibuster themselves if the Democrats attempt to shut down the government again next January 30, when the recently passed partial funding bill expires.

Breaking news: The sun rose in the east today. In an equally predictable development, Democrats screamed at Republicans for allegedly doing what Democrats actively perpetrate. One of the suppurating sores that still bedevil our body politic in the aftermath of COVID-19 is the ongoing abuse of mail-in voting. Absentee ballots have long been available to a small number of voters, of course. But, during the pandemic, many states used public safety as a pretext to dramatically expand eligibility for mail-in voting and to extend the deadlines for receiving these ballots. (snip) This inevitably creates concerns about election integrity. Consequently, it was only a matter of time before the U.S. Supreme Court would be required to decide if post-election vote counting violates federal law.

“Somali Immigrants Are Revitalizing Main Street America,” NBC News claimed. A barrage of similar stories hailed Somalis and other Muslim migrants for ‘transforming’ Middle America. After President Trump’s criticism of Somali abuse, triggered by reporting of massive $1B plus frauds conducted by the David Horowitz Freedom Center and other conservative media outlets, the media has rushed out more of these same stories about Somali accomplishments. But let’s look at some of the facts. Somalis are the second largest foreign-born population in Minnesota after Mexicans. 42% of Somalis fall below the poverty line. This is far worse than the 21% poverty rate for African-Americans or any Christian African immigrant population -

Ernest Hemingway famously wrote when describing bankruptcy: It happens “gradually, then suddenly.” The same is true of dictatorships. They project an illusion of permanence—until the moment the façade shatters and decades of repression give way to rapid collapse. Nowhere is this dynamic more evident than in the Islamic Republic of Iran, a theocracy that has ruled for 46 years through corruption, brutality, and systemic mismanagement. In recent weeks, a severe water crisis has pushed Iran into international headlines. President Masoud Pezeshkian himself warned that it is very feasible that water rationing in Tehran may follow.
