Democratic Seattle Mayor-elect Katie Wilson declared that she will not allow private grocery stores to close in a resurfaced video from September. Wilson said during her mayoral run that corporate grocery chains should not be allowed to only sell food to those who can afford it and expressed support for a “public option,” meaning that government-run grocery stores would be established.

Across three-fifths of the United States, the Trump administration has found half a million people receiving SNAP benefits twice over and 5,000 dead people receiving them. In deep blue states, the fraud is probably much worse.
It is important to clarify that 20+ states out of the 50 did not comply with the federal government's request for information on SNAP beneficiaries, likely because they are trying to hide how many illegal aliens are illicitly receiving food stamps. So the horrifying numbers revealed by U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins on Laura Ingraham's Fox News show, The Ingraham Angle, are actually incomplete, and will probably be much higher

Former first lady Michelle Obama claimed that she had to conform to white beauty standards during an interview for her new fashion book, “The Look.” Former President Barack Obama’s wife said she felt obligated to keep her hair straight during her tenure in the White House in a conversation with actress Tracee Ellis Ross. She blamed white people for the “exhausting” beauty standards she felt she had to upkeep while she was in the spotlight. Reflecting on her childhood, she told Ellis black people need to know how to present themselves because “how you present can sometimes save your life.”

Democrats thought they had a winning hand when they released three carefully selected Jeffrey Epstein emails on Wednesday morning. The timing was no accident. With their caucus still reeling from their base turning on them for caving on the government shutdown, they needed a distraction, and they believed these emails would deliver one. They were wrong. The so-called bombshell consisted of three email exchanges. The crown jewel of their selective leak was a 2011 email between Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell in which Epstein described Trump as "the dog that hasn't barked." He noted that a victim had spent hours with Trump at Epstein’s house.

You've heard of biting off your nose to spite your face, but what about biting off taxpayers' noses because you don't like someone else?
Chicago City Treasurer Melissa Conyears-Ervin announced Wednesday that she will refuse to invest taxpayer money in the safest, most secure, most loss-proof investment in world history: U.S. Treasuries. She told aldermen that it's a way to push back on “the authoritarian regime of Donald Trump.” I'm sure she'll push back on Trump just as soon as Chicago buys U.S. Treasuries. The city currently doesn't own any. “I’m going to use that voice that our citizens gave me to say loud and clear to Donald Trump:

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) is reportedly considering a run for California governor — a possible foil to frontrunner Katie Porter.
Two anonymous sources close to the congressman told MSNBC that he has been considering a play for the Golden State governor’s mansion with a possible announcement as early as next week.
“Swalwell declined to comment when reached by MSNBC, but a source close to the congressman, who asked to remain anonymous to discuss the private discussions, said Swalwell allies had asked him to run ‘to fill a “fighter/protector” role’ in the mold of Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom,”

A new email released by the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday revealed that the late sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein was advised that he could “finish” President Donald Trump on the eve of the 2016 presidential election.
In a message addressed to Epstein on October 29, 2016 reported on by The Miami Herald‘s Julie Brown, author Michael Wolff wrote:
There’s an opportunity to come forward this week and talk about Trump in such a way that could garner you great sympathy and help finish him. Interested?

Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania was hospitalized early Thursday after suffering a fall near his home in Braddock, according to a statement from his office.
“During an early morning walk, Senator Fetterman sustained a fall near his home in Braddock,” the statement, which his office posted to X, read. “Out of an abundance of caution, he was transported to a hospital in Pittsburgh.”
The statement continued, “Upon evaluation, it was established he had a ventricular fibrillation flare-up that led to Senator Fetterman feeling light-headed, falling to the ground and hitting his face with minor injuries. Senator Fetterman had this to say:

One of the huge bonuses to having racked up a significant number of years in life is that one gets an amazing perspective on things. For example, I've been through a number of dire apocalyptic warnings. When I was a kid, global cooling and a new ice age were going to bring down the curtain on Mother Earth within 40 years. Before the ice had a chance to show up, fears of overpopulation were being spread. Widespread famine was going to do us in.
We're all aware of what happened next. When creeping glaciers and hunger hadn't brought about the end of humanity, apocalypse fetishists shifted their focus to

The fascist who gave fascism its name came to an ugly end. Benito Mussolini was impaled on a meat hook and hung upside-down from a lamppost. Fascists don’t tolerate failure.
Democrat leader Charles Schumer is someone I don’t like, and I felt a certain schadenfreude when his Democrat “friends” blamed him for their caving on what has come to be called the “Schumer Shutdown” or, more accurately, the “Schumer Sh*tshow.”
But there’s something disquieting about the barrage of criticism from the left.

We hear that there is a lot of conflict on the other side. Some call it generational, or reminiscent of “Wild in the Streets”, or that movie about not trusting anyone over 30. Others say it’s ideological, or a desperate battle between center-left Democrats and the crazy left. I am not sure what to call it, but they sure are angry over there.
Well, we saw the first battle over the shutdown, and now get ready for the next episode over free buses. The New York City mayor-elect promised free buses, and the governor of New York responded with “we can’t afford it.”

Zohran Mamdani held a secretive meeting with far-left Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren on Wednesday — a sitdown that was captured by an eagle-eyed New Yorker whose office is across from the mayor-elect’s headquarters.
Warren boasted about the meeting with the Democratic socialist and Big Tech antagonist Lina Khan, the co-chair of Mamdani’s transition team, on Instagram.
“Tax the rich. Billionaire tears not pictured,” Warren captioned the post of the beaming trio. The nosy neighbor who works in the building across the street from Mamdani snapped a picture of him and Warren “in deep debate” on Nov. 12, according to a post on X.
Update: the blinds are all closed this morning,” he wrote Thursday.
