William F. Buckley, Jr. and Tucker Carlson

Original Article

The late William F. Buckley, Jr. must be credited as one of the people who established modern conservatism in the United States. He had a weather eye for what or who could help or hurt the movement. In the early 1960s, Robert Welch, founder of the John Birch Society, labeled former president Dwight Eisenhower, former secretary of state George C. Marshall, and many other leading Republicans as communists. He, and the Birch Society, claimed that every federal agency had been taken over by the communists. After many debates and much correspondence with Welch, Buckley led a movement to expel Welch and the John Birch Society from the conservative movement

FTA: "We cannot know how Buckley would have dealt with Tucker Carlson but it is a safe bet that he would have driven Carlson and the rest of his gaggle out of the conservative movement, as he did with Welch and the Birchers. It is now up to us to expel the loudest anti-Semites from the conservative movement. They aren’t conservatives: they are, quite simply, bad people who use the conservative brand to conceal their racism and anti-Semitism."

I have to agree that unregulated, open borders allowing in millions of unvetted and mostly poor, unskilled and uneducated immigrants into the USA is an attempt to replace white citizens so as to ensure a Democratic majority for ever. I don't think that racist - just realistic. Just look at all these illegal aliens with CDLs driving big rigs and working for more illegal aliens owning these trucking companies. And no, I never was and am not a regular watcher of Tucker when he was on Fox or his podcast now.

So Tucker brings a cockroach onto his show and lets it speak. Eek eek shriek the masses how dare Tucker allow the roach to expound his madness as the roach scuttles back to the shadows. Either we adult up, allow free speech and use our free speech to educate folks about roaches or listen to a sole voice of media, who will never corrrupt (yeah right, how’s that working for you?) and allow them to be our logic. You would never had known emperor Biden was naked along with his minions had he not been dressed in the fopish costume of #46. Yikes people, stand up and do not join the shrieking masses. Fuentes is certifiable. If you listen to the whole interview it’s obvious, Tucker let him expose himself. Tucker also is exposing himself and will have to, like Fuentes struggle uphill to be taken seriously again, but had he been silenced would we have seen it for ourselves? Let the adults adult. Freedom of speech. Anti semites is the Nazi Nazi rant of 2025. In the words of indigo Montoya , “ you keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means.”

I bought the new Wm Buckley postage stamps. They picked his most dour image for the stamps, I guess to discourage people from buying them. Buckley had a great smile from what I remember.

You don't have to support or even agree with things someone like Fuentes says in public. But not allowing anyone to speak smacks more of book burning than suppressing a shout of 'fire' in a crowded theater.

Back in 1989, President George H. W. Bush talked about a “thousand points of light.” He meant it as a tribute to America at its best: the churches, charities, volunteer squads, neighborhood helpers, and everyday citizens who quietly held the country together. It was a gentle, optimistic image: millions of small acts of service lighting up the dark, proving that the American character didn’t depend on Washington but on the decency of ordinary people. Bush believed the culture was strong, the institutions were stable, and the nation’s story was still intact. A thousand civic lanterns, he thought, were enough to keep the republic lit. He was wrong —

New York City mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani (D.) is backing a far-left candidate for New York State Assembly who said 9/11 was a manifestation of America's "system of capitalism," "racism," "white supremacy," and "Islamophobia." Mamdani, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, endorsed Palestinian activist Aber Kawas at a DSA meeting on Wednesday, the New York Daily News reported. The endorsement, the mayor-elect's first foray into local politics since his election win, is already garnering pushback because Mamdani did not support Kawas's primary opponent, a Spanish speaker with close ties

In a Tuesday morning press release issued at the state capitol, Abbott offered the following comments regarding the designation saying, “The Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR have long made their goals clear: to forcibly impose Sharia law and establish Islam’s ‘mastership of the world. A federal magistrate judge on Monday criticized federal prosecutors when ordering that they turn over grand jury evidence to the defense team representing indicted former FBI Director James Comey, who faces charges of perjury and obstruction of a congressional investigation. Magistrate Judge William Fitzpatrick said interim U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan made two statements to grand jurors that could be “fundamental misstatements of the law,” The Hill reported. “The Court recognizes that the relief sought by the defense is rarely granted,” Fitzpatrick said in the opinion. “However, the record points to a disturbing pattern of profound investigative missteps, missteps that led an FBI agent and a prosecutor to

The Supreme Court agreed to review an effort by the Trump administration to limit asylum processing claims from immigrants at the U.S.-Mexico border in an order issued Thursday. The key issue in the case, Noem v. Al Otro Lado, is over what constitutes "arrival in the United States" within the meaning of federal immigration law. The law provides that an alien who "arrives" may apply for asylum and must be inspected by an immigration officer. The legal question, however, is over whether an immigrant "arrives" to begin the process for the asylum claim when meeting immigration officers on the U.S. side of the border or while still on

ICE Air’s Sloppy, Dangerous Deportation Flights 9 replies

In a memo to staff on October 30, Avelo Airlines’ head of flight operations Scott Hall painted a rosy, if defensive, picture of the company’s future. Avelo’s financial strategy was working, he said. The company had a big contract from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to do charter deportation flights, and despite some bumps, the future was bright. They had just hired more pilots and couldn’t buy aircraft fast enough to keep pace with demand. Sure, shutting down their entire West Coast operation looked bad, but it was good, actually, a long-planned move toward efficiency that had nothing to do with the “outrage mob” boycotting Avelo for its association with ICE.

Immigrants detained in facilities across the U.S. would be able to contact their lawyers and families under legislation filed by a group of congressional Democrats. The Restoring Access to Detainees Act affects immigrants who are placed in Customs and Border Protection or Immigration and Customs Enforcement facilities. Sponsors of the legislation said it follows months of “credible reporting” that ICE and CBP have prevented detainees from contacting family members or legal representatives. “The Trump administration’s practice of snatching people off the street and denying them access to lawyers or calls to family is cruel, unnecessary, and puts U.S. citizens and lawfully present immigrants at risk of wrongful detention and deportation,”

COP30, the UN climate conference, is underway in Belem, Brazil. Thousands of representatives from all over the world have journeyed to discuss how to cut carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions to try to fight human-caused climate change. But ten years after the Paris Climate Agreement, the global consensus on climate change is crumbling. COP30 is the thirtieth “conference of the parties.” The first took place in Berlin in 1995. At COP21 in Paris in 2015, more than 190 countries signed the Paris Climate Agreement, pledging to cut emissions and to limit global warming to 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. About 50,000 people are attending COP30 from more than 190 nations.

Michelle Obama said this week that America is “not ready for a woman president,” adding that “we saw that in the last election.” Cute. Predictable. And only barely half right. The former First Lady wants you to believe that America rejected the idea of a woman leading the free world because we’re too primitive, too sexist, too stuck in the Stone Age to recognize brilliance when it smiles into a camera. Wrong. We rejected Kamala Harris — because she is, without exaggeration, the emptiest pantsuit ever shuffled onto a debate stage. She didn’t lose because she’s a woman. She lost because she’s incompetent, inauthentic, unprepared, and catastrophically unlikable.

But their definition of negotiating is “stalling for time.” In a podcast interview on November 10, Hamdan emphasized that only the first phase of the plan had been accepted, not Phase 2. America’s crime map is not random. And it is not evenly distributed. It forms a pattern, a persistent outline that says more about the country than any campaign speech or census brochure ever could. When you trace the safest states in America, you trace a corridor of calm: New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont’s shadow, Idaho’s long sweep of farms and foothills. Places where the pace is steady and the population overwhelmingly white. When you trace the most dangerous states, the pattern changes just as sharply — a concentration of chaos in states marked by sprawling cities, fractured communities, and the kind of “diverse” demographic makeup polite society insists you never mention.

For decades, the monolithic and sacrosanct international climate change hierarchy went unquestioned. Western nations in particular spent trillions of dollars over the past half-century to subsidize expensive but erratic wind and solar energy while demonizing carbon fuels as toxic threats to the planet. Like Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion dogma, climate change orthodoxy was embedded into every aspect of Western culture, from the corporate boardroom to the university campus. Question whether man-made global warming was truly responsible for increased temperatures rather than natural, often centuries-long cycles of heating and cooling of the planet, and one was labeled a climate crank.
