Reality Caught Up to ‘Climate Change’

Original Article

For decades, the monolithic and sacrosanct international climate change hierarchy went unquestioned. Western nations in particular spent trillions of dollars over the past half-century to subsidize expensive but erratic wind and solar energy while demonizing carbon fuels as toxic threats to the planet. Like Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion dogma, climate change orthodoxy was embedded into every aspect of Western culture, from the corporate boardroom to the university campus. Question whether man-made global warming was truly responsible for increased temperatures rather than natural, often centuries-long cycles of heating and cooling of the planet, and one was labeled a climate crank.

Actually normal people questioned it from the start. We know we can't affect the sun, the winds and the tides. Plus con men like AlGore made millions flying around in his private jet, collecting money from industry and selling them carbon credits. No, we can't affect climate change. We can take good care of the planet and most try to.

I have been absolutely certain since the first ridiculous Earth Day that this whole thing has been a scam. Many groups and individuals have figured out how to twist this to their financial and power advantage, so they jump on the bandwagon of this scam. It has always been a scam. We are passengers on this rock, and we do NOT have the power to significantly affect the climate. We can't even really affect the weather.

FTA: 'Instead, the only solution is an “all of the above” strategy of building more nuclear, natural gas, clean-coal, wind, and solar generation plants.' IOW, we must abandon the dream of the virtue-signalling, Gaia-worshipping crazy people, for what actually works; and always has worked.

VDH is mostly correct, but an "all of the above" approach to the production of electricity isn't the way to go. Large scale solar and wind don't make any economic sense. Get rid of them completely. No more windmills. No more solar farms. Wasteful of both land and money.

I'm not at all positive that this stupid belief is on its way out. All the textbooks and high school courses include this nonsense, and plenty of people, including government employees (for example, those in Jamaica after the recent hurricane) still use their fossil fuel created technology to lambast skeptics. It will take a long, LONG time to change some people's minds!

I don't have a problem with wind and solar but there should be NO subsidies from the Federal government. If states want to pay subsidies, that's up to the people in the state. If the state then financially collapses, NO bailouts. Trump has the right idea. The federal government should NOT bail out states who do stupid stuff. Even if the federal government wants to do joint projects, the states should be required to have considerable skin in the game. I think it going to be really interesting to see "Climate Change" collapse. Up until recently, criticizing the dogma was like blaspheming against God. Careers have been ruined by the climate zealots. The evidence against the dogma has never been subjected to critical scrutiny because it just wasn't allowed. Now, that is going to happen and the whole house of cards is going to come tumbling down. Some of the dogma is going to turn out to be idiocy. Other parts might be based on good intentions but the evidence has never been carefully examined and once that is done the dogma will implode. Further, there are real explanations for the climate we see that actually match real climate behavior pretty well. The problem for the zealots is that if those theories are accepted as accurate, the causes are outside human control and can't be taken advantage of by politicians and manipulative wealthy people. No guilt tripping mankind.

Will Ecuador allow US troops on its soil? 0 replies

Ecuador's president wants to change his country's constitution, and Ecuadorians will get to say whether they agree in a referendum this weekend. To be held on November 16, the vote will decide whether a nearly 20-year constitutional clause banning foreign militaries from having a presence in the country is repealed. Surveys by the Cedatos polling firm suggest nearly two-thirds of the country is supportive of the change. If passed, it would allow the US to occupy bases on Ecuador's Pacific coastline. For Ecuador, it would strengthen ties to the US and potentially improve efforts to fight local violence. For the Trump Administration, it would be a boon for its campaign against drug trafficking

People visiting Benjamin Franklin's grave, just across from the United States Mint, often drop pennies on the marble marking the final resting place of the Founding Father who wrote, "A penny saved is two pence clear." But soon, visitors may have to pay a little more to pay their respects to Franklin. The U.S. Mint says it has stopped producing pennies, a historic shift in currency two centuries after the one-cent coin entered circulation. The last penny was stamped with the aid of Treasurer Brandon Beach at the Philadelphia U.S. Mint during an event on Wednesday, Nov. 12, part of an effort to retire the coin that now costs more to produce

Ukraine suspended its justice minister on Wednesday after an investigation linked him to an alleged $100 million energy kickback scheme, a case that’s shaking trust in President Volodymyr Zelensky’s wartime government. Justice Minister German Galushchenko, who had previously served as energy minister, was suspended after one of his advisors had been named a suspect in the alleged scheme to control procurement at the Energoatom nuclear agency and other state enterprises. Five suspects were charged this week in connection with the case, including long-time Zelensky ally Timur Mindich, the co-owner of the Kvartal-95 TV studio that brought the president national fame before his foray into politics.

The collapse of Chuck Schumer’s shutdown gambit, when seven fellow Democrats and one independent broke ranks with him, serves as a humiliating bookend to the longest government closure ever. It also simultaneously highlights one of President Trump’s most sweeping and crucial Washington victories over his most toxic opponents. Ever since his first election in 2016, Trump has been thwarted, tormented, impeached and mocked by Schumer and Democratic former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. And now he has turned the tables on them in devastating fashion, with Schumer likely to be dethroned as Senate minority leader and Pelosi packing her money bags to leave Washington for good.

If you come for Donald J. Trump, you better not miss. That’s a lesson the BBC just learned the hard way. The Beeb went after Trump, slurring him with vicious lies. It used its flagship current-affairs show to defame him as a fascistic monster who stirred up violence at the US Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. And the result of these outrageous libels has been not the fall of Trump, but the fall of the BBC. The Beeb thought it could drag down the leader of the free world — but ended up dragging its own reputation into the gutter, burying itself in its own Trump-phobic BS. It is hands-down the worst

The Washington Post editorial board praised the eight Senate Democratic caucus members who broke with their party leaders to vote in favor of a House-passed continuing resolution (CR) Sunday night, arguing that "the party that takes the government hostage to advance its policy goals almost never succeeds." Comparing the ongoing government shutdown to when conservatives shut down the government in 2013 in an unsuccessful attempt to defund Obamacare, The Post contended that Democrats have followed suit and allowed "angry activists" to influence them into doing something that they knew wouldn't end well.

Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s exit from politics after nearly 40 years in the game is a stark reminder that too much of our political class is like her: long-haul careerists who cling to the reins of power — while making bank off their positions. On Thursday, the ex-speaker announced she won’t seek a 20th term; she thus avoids a potentially tough primary battle against former AOC Chief of Staff Saikat Chakrabarti. She wasn’t eager to go: Until now, she’d been pointedly prepping for another run at age 85, defying younger members of her party (including, reportedly, House Minority Leader Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, 55) who wanted her to let

Fourth-quarter GDP is estimated to grow between 2.7 and 4 percent, the robust latter figure according to the Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank. Inflation from June to August ranged from 2.7 to 2.9 percent, significantly lower than the 5 percent annual average during Biden’s 2021-2025 term. Gas prices now average $2.98 per gallon, compared to $3.46, the average cost during Biden’s four years. In less than a year, Trump has increased oil production by one million barrels per day.

For a brief moment in time, the Democrats were humiliated in defeat. November of 2024 was the body blow necessary to end the war on Trump. They lost. Trump won, and that was that. They never absorbed that loss, however, except in the way that it made them meaner, angrier, and more willing to blow through norms and abandon what remained of their humanity to chase victory by any means necessary. That would include spending hundreds of millions on Prop 50. It would include celebrating the murder of Charlie Kirk and fantasizing about Trump’s imminent death. It would be about sacrificing being “good people doing good things” to “stop fascism.”

COP30, the UN climate conference, is underway in Belem, Brazil. Thousands of representatives from all over the world have journeyed to discuss how to cut carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions to try to fight human-caused climate change. But ten years after the Paris Climate Agreement, the global consensus on climate change is crumbling. COP30 is the thirtieth “conference of the parties.” The first took place in Berlin in 1995. At COP21 in Paris in 2015, more than 190 countries signed the Paris Climate Agreement, pledging to cut emissions and to limit global warming to 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. About 50,000 people are attending COP30 from more than 190 nations.

Recently, an official for Hamas, Osama Hamdan, made clear in no uncertain terms, that Hamas will “negotiate” Phase 2 of the agreement. But their definition of negotiating is “stalling for time.” In a podcast interview on November 10, Hamdan emphasized that only the first phase of the plan had been accepted, not Phase 2. Hamas has still not complied with Phase 1, which raises a number of questions: Did Hamas lie to US President Donald J. Trump when it said that it had accepted

Michelle Obama said this week that America is “not ready for a woman president,” adding that “we saw that in the last election.” Cute. Predictable. And only barely half right. The former First Lady wants you to believe that America rejected the idea of a woman leading the free world because we’re too primitive, too sexist, too stuck in the Stone Age to recognize brilliance when it smiles into a camera. Wrong. We rejected Kamala Harris — because she is, without exaggeration, the emptiest pantsuit ever shuffled onto a debate stage. She didn’t lose because she’s a woman. She lost because she’s incompetent, inauthentic, unprepared, and catastrophically unlikable.

An equally important, though darkly troubling, consequence of his murder has been the deluge of mockery and hatred from leftists celebrating Charlie’s death. Antifa-aligned groups show up on college campuses to attack Turning Point staff and prevent students from hearing Charlie’s arguments.

America’s crime map is not random. And it is not evenly distributed. It forms a pattern, a persistent outline that says more about the country than any campaign speech or census brochure ever could. When you trace the safest states in America, you trace a corridor of calm: New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont’s shadow, Idaho’s long sweep of farms and foothills. Places where the pace is steady and the population overwhelmingly white. When you trace the most dangerous states, the pattern changes just as sharply — a concentration of chaos in states marked by sprawling cities, fractured communities, and the kind of “diverse” demographic makeup polite society insists you never mention.
