Trump: Greenland agreement 'a deal everyone

US President Donald Trump said the broad outlines of the Greenland agreement were in place, without providing further details, but when asked about whether the US would own the island, Trump said the matter was somewhat complex. "It'll be forever for Greenland at this point, forever," Trump said about the agreement. He said the agreement would address security issues, as he has argued that the US must own Greenland for national security reasons amid concerns about threats from China and Russia.

Today, I listened to President Trump at the DAVOS. I was so pleased because he came across that he wanted to work with everyone to make this happen. Good job, Mr. President.

Long term lease would be good, for military and mining purposes. It would be good to NOT be responsible for the welfare cases.

Trump is after a long term agreement, including a clause that says we will defend Greenland from the commies. He will get it.

A woman who said she was violently attacked by her ex-boyfriend last year told a London court that her friend Barron Trump unexpectedly saved her life after she managed to call him during the assault, United Kingdom media outlet Metro reported Wednesday. After answering the FaceTime call and witnessing the alleged assault, the 19-year-old son of President Donald Trump reportedly contacted emergency operators, prompting UK police to respond to the scene on Jan. 18, 2025, shortly after 2 a.m. local time. The woman, who cannot be named, reportedly claimed that her former Russian partner, 22-year-old Matvei Rumianstev, of east London, was jealous of her friendship with Trump.

Last week, President Trump announced that the United States will acquire Greenland one way or the other. Greenland is a self-governing territory of Denmark; it is the world’s largest island, with a small population of less than 100,000 inhabitants, mostly composed of indigenous people called Inuits. Because Greenland sits at the intersection of three continents (Asia, Europe, and North America) and is rich in strategic resources, it has immense geopolitical importance. The island is home to one of Earth’s largest uranium deposits. Uranium is essential for nuclear energy production, and it plays a crucial role in supporting nuclear power generation in the United States. Environmental groups oppose its extraction because they

Israel's decision on December 26, 2025 to recognize Somaliland as an independent state sent shockwaves across the Horn of Africa and beyond. Diplomatic pushback from Somalia and concern within the African Union (AU) followed over regional stability and territorial integrity. Somaliland, a self-governing region in northern Somalia, declared independence in 1991 following the collapse of Somali ruler Siad Barre's military regime. Tens of thousands of people were killed in the late 1980s as Barre's forces pursued rebel groups in the territory. Many Somalilanders argue the union with Somalia was unlawful and had failed, fuelling demands for self-rule and a separate, stable state

The American people are once again witnessing Minneapolis descend into chaos, as left-wing militants hold the city hostage to obstruct law enforcement primarily on behalf of illegal aliens and criminal scammers who have culturally decimated the city. Amid the rioting and destruction of vehicles and property of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other law enforcement, a suspected Latin Kings gang member allegedly stole an M16A1 rifle and a suppressor from a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) vehicle after federal agents were forced to abandon the scene due to “ensuing civil unrest,” according to the Department of Justice.

In the fall of 1998, I traveled to Denmark to take up my duties as the American Ambassador in Copenhagen. Often referred to as the “Fairytale Kingdom,” courtesy of its native son, Hans Christian Andersen, Denmark is a remarkable country that has been an exceptional ally of the United States for well over 200 years. The Danes have built a nation that combines Viking valor with a deep sense of duty to be one’s brother’s keeper. The admirable character of the Danish people was perhaps best exemplified when it became the only country in Europe to rescue virtually its entire Jewish population through a daring evacuation to neutral Sweden

An autonomous territory of Denmark thousands of kilometers from the US is currently center stage in a geopolitical tussle. US President Donald Trump says it's "unacceptable" that Greenland should not come under US control and has threatened tariffs on any countries who don't fall in line with his plans. While the territory is geographically in North America, its relationship with Denmark means it is culturally and politically European. Meanwhile, citizens and the governments of Denmark and Greenland are doing their best to resist Trump's overtures while Europe, China and Russia assess the importance of the vast, icy island to their interests.

Why are American progressives, who believe in gay rights and abortion, aligned with radical Islamists, who want a religious dictatorship? Because “the enemy of my enemy is my friend,” writes Peter Schweizer in his new book, “The Invisible Coup: How American Elites and Foreign Powers Use Immigration as a Weapon.” In this exclusive excerpt, he explains that they are after the same thing: the destruction of Western society from within. Ismail Selim Elbarasse, an accountant by training, seemed to be living a quiet life in Annandale, Virginia. But in 2004, when police officers noticed him driving with his wife across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and filming its critical structural elements,

Iran’s supreme leader has now openly acknowledged what the Islamic Republic has spent weeks trying to obscure from the world. In remarks carried by Iranian state media on Saturday, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei admitted that “several thousand deaths” had occurred during Iran’s latest wave of nationwide protests, while blaming the United States and Israel for the bloodshed. Protesters, he declared, were “criminals,” “mercenaries,” and mohareb (enemies of God) – a charge that carries the death penalty under Iranian law. For over four decades, the Islamic Republic has relied on a familiar formula for survival. It begins with repression at home, then blames foreign intervention, and waits for the world to hesitate.

Democrats are bullish about retaking the House of Representatives and making Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) the next Speaker after the midterm elections. Part of that optimism is the cushion of five seats created through further gerrymandering of California’s U.S. House districts. According to one respected Ninth Circuit judge, however, California may have a slight problem: Its new congressional map may be based on racial discrimination.

Dear Mr. Baker, I am but one in a sea of many Americans viewed as a threat to the established order. I was once a part of that order. I helped build it. It would turn out I couldn’t survive because I couldn’t follow the rules of thought and speech that are mandated by everyone on the Left, especially those at the New York Times. It’s personal, you see. I used to believe that if all I did was read Page One of the New York Times, I’d be well-informed. Brainwashed is more like it. It’s easy to spot the bias now where it wasn’t before.

That is to say, social media has been all over his participation, but the conventional media apparatus has been notably muted in addressing what went on Sunday. This event could turn out to be a crucial fulcrum in the way the nation is headed. As we have reported, an organized group from the Black Lives Matter movement convened on Sunday to bull rush a church service in the city under the guise

Things are really heating up in Davos, Switzerland, as the elites gather at the upscale ski resort to talk about the global economy, geopolitics, technology (particularly AI), and climate change; they will, in turn, lecture the rest of us on these topics as they pretend to be subject matter experts, all from the comfort of their private jets and their gargantuan estates. Fun stuff. Well, Team Trump is now on the snowy grounds of Davos, and things are getting good. As RedState's Rusty Weiss reported, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick kicked things off Tuesday with a strategic strike on the World Economic Forum (WEF) and its "globalist orthodoxy."

Karine Jean-Pierre. Remember her? In 2022, Jean-Pierre made history as the first openly gay black female lesbian of color to serve as White House press secretary. Journalists and other Democrats squealed with joy. In 2025, Jean-Pierre announced she was leaving the Democratic Party to become an independent, primarily as a means of expressing solidarity with Hamas. She wrote a memoir defending Joe Biden's zombie reelection campaign. It was so bad that it forced Democrats to abandon their faith in DEI. They could finally admit that Republicans were right. Former colleagues rushed to denounce Jean-Pierre as "incompetent," "ineffectual," and "unprepared." The Washington Post charitably described her as a "devoted apparatchik" with

San Francisco's beloved mall will finally shut its doors after years of harrowing decline and fears of crime and homelessness. San Francisco Centre, formerly known as the Westfield Mall, will permanently close on January 26, an employee for the disgraced shopping center's lone remaining store told the San Francisco Chronicle. The iconic mall began spiraling downward with the rest of the Democrat run city after the COVID-19 pandemic. Rumors of the closure have circulated for months as sprawling homeless encampments deterred tourists and locals alike. As downtown foot traffic decreased, the mall saw fewer and fewer customers. About 100 employees, mostly senior executives including nearly half of the unit’s operating committee, will relocate to the new office by year-end, Bloomberg reported. The office is scheduled to open in August. Wells Fargo’s wealth unit generated $16 billion in revenue last year, accounting for roughly 20 percent of the bank’s total revenue.

Cuba's communist leadership is talking very tough about its willingness to fight to the last man. Over the weekend the country announced plans for a "state of war." The Cuban national defence council said it had approved “plans and measures” to declare a “state of war” to be enacted in the country, state media reported on Sunday. No details were given as to how this would be implemented, but the press release said the measures would be based on the concept of “war of all the people”, a strategy promoted in the 1980s under the country’s former leader Fidel Castro as the allied Soviet Union was collapsing.

For background, the case itself centers on a Hawaiian law that does not allow people with public carry licenses to have their handguns on them when they are on private property that is open to the public, unless they have prior permission from the owner.
