Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Wednesday that Hamas’ Gaza chief Mohammed Sinwar has been killed by the Israel Defense Forces. In a speech delivered in the Knesset, Israel’s parliament, Netanyahu declared that “We eliminated [Mohammad] Deif, [Ismail] Haniyeh, Yahya Sinwar and Mohammed Sinwar.”Mohammed Sinwar was the younger brother of Yahya Sinwar, the one-time leader of Hamas who was killed in Rafah in October 2024. Deif Sinwar, also once a top Hamas leader, was killed in July 2024 in an IDF strike in Gaza, as was Haniyeh, who was assassinated in Tehran, Iran, two weeks later.

The American cabinet official visited Argentina after attending the inauguration of President Daniel Noboa in Ecuador.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Wednesday the U.S. will begin revoking the visas of some Chinese students, including those studying in “critical fields.” China is the second-largest country of origin for international students in the United States, behind only India. In the 2023-2024 school year, more than 270,000 international students were from China, making up roughly a quarter of all foreign students in the United States. “Under President Trump’s leadership, the U.S. State Department will work with the Department of Homeland Security to aggressively revoke visas for Chinese students, including those with connections to the Chinese Communist Party or studying in critical fields,” Rubio wrote.

President Trump delivered the commencement speech for the U.S. Military Academy at West Point on Saturday morning, declaring at one point that the 2025 class consists of the “first West Point graduates of the Golden Age of America.” “This is the Golden Age. I tell you, promise, we’re in a new age,” Trump told the graduates in New York, vowing that they are “going to lead the Army to summits of greatness.” The speech, which lasted just under an hour, offered a mix of shoutouts to individual cadets for their personal achievements and words of advice while at times delving into culture war issues —

While President Trump says it’s too soon to back a successor for his party’s 2028 presidential nod, the jockeying and tea-leaf reading has begun in the search for the next GOP leader. The president himself suggested Vice President Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are possible contenders. Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., suggested this past week that he was keeping the door open to a possible run after his father leaves the White House, acknowledging “that calling is there.” Some swing state governors have also made moves that stoked speculation of presidential ambitions this cycle. Here are the seven most likely successors to Trump in 2028:

It’s becoming pretty clear that Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., desperately wants voters to forget his role in helping sink Ed Martin’s nomination to serve as U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia. Throughout the past week, the Tarheel State’s senior senator — who is up for reelection next year — has posted a series of tweets seemingly aimed at portraying himself as a reliable ally of President Trump and his administration. From lavishing praise on Trump’s Middle East trip and “Golden Age” presidency to lauding the law enforcement efforts of Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel, the apparent rear-smooching campaign has been nothing short of pathetic.

Former FBI Director James Comey appeared to call for the assassination of President Donald Trump in a social media post Thursday, but his outburst is just one in a long line of far-left lunatics whose extreme rhetoric has laid the groundwork for violence — and assassination attempts — against conservative political figures. The social media featured a seashell arrangement of the numbers “8647” — a clear reference to the numbers “86” meaning “to get rid of,” and “47,” the presidency number of Trump’s second term in office. The Trump administration said it was taking the threat seriously,

In 1988, Donald Trump appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show and warned that unfair and unfree trade was damaging the domestic economy and particularly decimating the working class. Back then, Trump’s main concern was Japan, which was experiencing an “economic miracle” based on a huge increase in imports of cars, electronics, and other goods to the United States. Today, the United States faces an economic foe that makes the threat posed by 1980s Japan look miniscule. Several adults threw punches at each other in the hallway of West Memphis’ Faulk Elementary on Wednesday as the frightened screams of nearby children filled the crowded corridor. Multiple men and women were in the center of the melee, plowing through the school as other parents rushed to get their children away from the danger, according to video obtained by WREG. HARTFORD, CT- Once again, Connecticut Democrats have come down on the wrong side of an 80/20 issue. Last week, the House Democratic majority advanced legislation that will force municipalities to abide by the state’s so-called “Trust Act,” which permits “any aggrieved person” to seek an injunction against a municipality or its agents, including police and school employees, that cooperate with federal immigration officials, the CT Mirror reports. The bill was revised after pro-illegal alien advocates argued that municipalities, i.e., police departments, can ignore the state law already in place that defines when police and others can alert federal agents to the location of

WASHINGTON — A federal court on Wednesday blocked President Donald Trump from imposing sweeping tariffs on imports under an emergency-powers law, swiftly throwing into doubt Trump’s signature set of economic policies that have rattled global financial markets, frustrated trade partners and raised broader fears about inflation intensifying and the economy slumping. The ruling from a three-judge panel at the New York-based U.S. Court of International Trade came after several lawsuits arguing Trump’s “Liberation Day” tariffs exceeded his authority and left the country’s trade policy dependent on his whims. Trump has repeatedly said the tariffs would force manufacturers to bring back factory jobs to the U.S.

Some of the advanced weapon systems that allies have supplied to Ukraine during the 3-year war were subject to range and target restrictions — a fraught political issue stemming from fears that if the weapons struck deep inside Russia, the Kremlin might retaliate against the country that provided them and draw NATO into Europe’s biggest conflict since World War II.

This week, we saw a spate of news stories blaming Democrats’ troubles on their vocabulary. They’re just using too many darn multisyllabic, academic-sounding words and turning off numbskull voters, is the basic message. Seriously? The Democrats’ problem isn’t linguistic, it’s ideological. But no one in the party wants to admit that. A Washington Post story this week – “Democratic troubles revive debate over left-wing buzzwords” – begins by saying: Maybe it’s using the word ‘oligarchs’ instead of rich people. Or referring to ‘people experiencing food insecurity’ rather than Americans going hungry. Or ‘equity’ in place of ‘equality,’ or ‘justice-involved populations’ instead of prisoners.
