How Kamala’s Grocery Price Controls
Would Work

Original Article

A financial analyst I follow on Twitter/X, Robert Sterling, says everyone should calm down about Kamala’s grocery price controls idea. It’s actually worse than you think. Here’s his expectation from his Twitter column: People need to stop overreacting about Kamala’s plan to reduce food inflation, as if it would lead to communism, mass starvation, and the end of America. I worked in M&A in the food industry. Here’s a step-by-step summary of what would actually happen: 1. The government announces that grocery retailers aren’t allowed to raise prices. 2. Grocery stores, which operate on 1-2% net margins, can’t survive if

Comments:

He makes some good points. Most likely is that 'food deserts' would proliferate and low-margin products would simply disappear from the shelves.

Our Grocery Stores will resemble the old Soviet GUM stores with their empty shelves. People will populate bread lines that stretch for blocks. There will be lines that stretch for blocks for milk, fruit, etal. Rationing of food will occur at an extreme rate. That's what will happen under Commie Kammie's price controls. After all she has said that population reduction is one of her goals. What better way than to starve the citizens. Vote for Commie Kammie and that's what you'll get.

Kammie thinks that all she has to do is release items from the Strategic Grocery Reserves to bring down food prices. If Biden could drain the Strategic Petroleum Reserve in 2022 to temporally offset his mad war on fossil fuels, why can’t Harris do the same with the Grocery Reserve? Since there isn’t a Strategic Grocery Reserve, Kammie will just have to spend billions to create an SGR. Could use the empty malls for warehouses. Will make the $5 billion for 7 EV charging stations seem cheap. And she’ll waive the numerous expiration /use by dates to do so. So much “joy” without a single primary vote.

ANY time government of any kind gets in the way of safety, Food, or any other RIGHT, it always goes badly...why you might ask, BECAUSE the SCHEME IS DESIGNED TO FAIL! Then the Democraps blame others for their failures and try to ride in on the White/Black Horse and save the day...at which point it all goes to hell!

Am old enough to remember manual registration in college. You went to the gym because it was the largest building on campus. You saw a long line. You went to the end of it because you knew if the line was long there was bound to be something worth having at the end. If Giggles is crowned as Queen the same thing will happen to food and medicine.

US job growth during much of the past year was significantly weaker than initially estimated, according to new data released Wednesday. The Bureau of Labor Statistics’ preliminary annual benchmark review of employment data suggests that there were 818,000 fewer jobs in March of this year than were initially reported. Every year, the BLS conducts a revision to the data from its monthly survey of businesses’ payrolls, then benchmarks the March employment level to those measured by the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages program. The preliminary data marks the largest downward revision since 2009 and shows that the labor market
