The t*t-for-tat will take place in the open, yet few will pay attention. We do.
You have to take this announcement in full context: (1) Sanctions against Russia failed. (2) NATO expanded, creating more provocation. (3) NATO pledged Ukraine NATO membership. (4) Biden then pledged new long-range missiles will be located in Germany in 2026 able to reach all of Russia. (5) Russia sailed a nuclear submarine into Cuba; and (6) Yesterday, Vladimir Putin pledged to put nuclear weapons close to the USA (likely Cuba) if Biden puts long-range missiles in Germany.
OK, that’s the escalation timeline. That’s the lead up to this next announcement.

This right here is why I DON'T support 80 year old's as President. Just a little too casual with the whole end of everything. I want people with slightly more time (and young kids) than one bad cold being in charge of things.
P.S. Anyone in either party of War Pigs that cheers this on should be treated like a leper.

A number of years ago, Putin cancelled the nuclear weapons treaties that the USSR had signed. Since then this lunatic has been pushing for more of the old 60s style USSR sort of nuclear threatening posture.
We can either match his nuke threats, which is the old balance of terror deal, or we can knuckle under to the Russian threats, do what they want as they stomp all over other countries.
You either resist the bully or you get used to kissing his butt and getting pushed around.

I'm a big Trump supporter, but I can't see how he'd have a lot of choices with Putin acting the bully like he has been.
Knuckling under isn't good.
With enough military strength, even guys like Putin get deterred. The Dems project weakness, so, so dangerous. But even with us being stronger under Trump, I'm not sure how much Putin changes his tune.

Sorry 6/8, I'd stack Putin against the morons we have running things. You are kind of right though: "You either resist the bully or you get used to kissing his butt and getting pushed around." Unfortunately, the biggest bully on the block since the fall of the wall and before has been USA and everyone outside the Western "Clown World Axis of Anal" (hat tip Tobias Langdon writing at the Occidental Observer) knows it.

Look it up
Since the end of the cold war the US has sent troops into foreign countries 241 times worldwide while Russia only 25. Since Putin took control the number was only 5. with Syria being the only country outside of the Russian sphere of influence. After the CIA perpetrated the Maidan coup in Ukraine Russia has been expanding its influence worldwide
The CIA is the source of most problems worldwide. Even Truman voiced regrets about creating it after the JFK assassination.
BTW how many people are aware thar Putin suggested NATO accept Russia into the alliance? He was told to go to the back of the line. We need an enemy and Russia still fills that bill while China is the real threat.

Yes #6 and #8, #10 is absolutely correct. We no longer have the strength in our woke military that can match the Russian forces. Plus the Russians have hypersonic nuclear missiles that can penetrate our air defense command. These missiles can be launched from Russia or they can be launched from their subs stationed in the Atlantic and the Pacific. We don't have any of these missiles according to former CIA intel analysts. So why is our administration talking about poking the Bear. #1 is also correct. It would be absolute insanity on the part of our administration to start a war with Russia.

I am concerned that this bunch of arrogant fools (the Sniffer, Heels-Up and their marionette puppeteer masters and handlers) are going to blunder us into WWIII.
Alfred Einstein said that he did not know what weapons the next world war would be fought with, but the one after that would be fought with sticks and stones.
If any L-dotters have the time, look up and listen to Tucker Carlson's interviews with Jeffery Sachs and his interview with Vladimir Putin.
Sachs was in the Kremlin, negotiating with the Russians when Yeltsin walked into the room and told him that the leaders of the Soviet Union had just agreed to dissolve it.... Russia would become Russia.
In the aftermath, the NATO leaders made a nine-jointed vow to the Russians that "NATO would not expand One Inch to the East." If only they had kept that vow. NATO has added what- 8?, 10?, 12 nations? Moving closer and closer, hemming in Russia. The Russians were saying "Leave a buffer, some non-aligned nations between NATO and Russia", but the arrogant fools in the American government (the Clinton, then Zero's administration, if I recall) ignored them. Putin has said, over and over, that Ukraine joining NATO was a 'Red Line' that Russia would go to war to prevent, as NATO missiles in Ukraine would be pretty close to Moscow, and would be "a knife to their throat". Now, I'm not a big fan of Putin, but what if the Russians -or the Chicoms- were to announce that they were putting nuclear-armed missiles in, say, the Bermuda? Ukraine is much closer to Moscow (300 miles) than the Bermuda is to Washington DC (850 miles).
So.... look at it from the other side. Maybe Putin is just trying to protect Russia. Maybe the 'bad guys' are the power-hungry Deep State bureauc'RATS right here in the USA. We know that EVIL dwells among them. We see it every day.
But hey, I'm just a 'getting old' geezer in south Mississippi. What do I know?

Everyone on the planet knows that Joe Biden has nothing to do with it. And Putin won't be corny enough to bang his shoe on the conference table. We aren't going THAT far back in time.
