The Democrats’ recent panic over President Joe Biden’s apparent mental infirmities underscores the importance of the vice presidential pick. In the case of former President Donald Trump, who will only be able to serve one term if re-elected, the choice is just as important if not more so. A handful of favorites has emerged, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows.
In the past two months, the I&I/TIPP Poll has queried voters about a long list of 22 possible choices for Trump.
However, in recent days, that list has shrunk markedly. Trump campaign insiders, Republican Party officials and those close to Trump

In 2022, the Washington Examiner's Becket Adams reported that the Marine Corps Band was instructed to compose an entrance theme for First Lady Jill Biden. The song, Fanfare for the First Lady, was intended to be a counterpoint to the president's Hail to the Chief. But of course, the president is the elected commander in chief, and the First Lady is more of an honorary post.
Many of those in the Marine Corps Band said they'd never been asked to do an exclusive First Lady entrance theme before. "Someone in the White House apparently 'had the bright idea, ‘Oh, tell the band that we want music for Jill,'' a source said.

Lifelong Democrat George Clooney has turned on President Joe Biden and demanded he step aside from the 2024 race after his disastrous debate and widespread concerns about whether he can serve four more years.
The Hollywood megastar, who has hosted fundraisers for the 81-year-old, said Biden can't win the 'battle against time' in a scathing op-ed for the New York Times on Wednesday morning.
The actor also condemned Democratic party leaders for ignoring 'every warning sign' of Biden's declining physical and mental health and for trying to defend his car-crash performance against Donald Trump.

Huma Abedin and Alex Soros are engaged, Page Six has exclusively learned.
Sources tell us Soros popped the question six weeks ago, and the couple were spotted recently celebrating the happy news in Italy.
“The best way I can describe the relationship is effortless,” a friend of Abedin’s for over 15 years tells Page Six.
“After a lot of tumultuous years for Huma, she’s relaxed and happy and in love,” the insider added.

Two Democratic senators are asking Attorney General Merrick Garland to appoint a special counsel to investigate Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas for possible tax law violations.
Sens. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) and Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) sent the letter to Garland last week asking him to appoint a special counsel “to investigate possible violations of federal ethics and tax laws.” The two lawmakers pointed to public reporting over the last year which found Thomas failed to disclose multiple luxury trips and gifts from billionaire friends.

Donald Trump’s youngest son, Barron Trump, received a standing ovation Tuesday at his father’s Florida rally in what the former president suggested was the teenager’s debut on the campaign trail.
Barron, 18, turned and waved to the crowd of Trump supporters at his father’s Doral golf course as the former president praised him for his smarts, demeanor and rising popularity.
“This is a young man. He just turned 18 – Oh, look at this,” the 78-year-old former president said, stopping as the crowd’s cheers intensified.

Democratic California Rep. Maxine Waters could not stop adjusting her wig in the middle of a live CNN segment Tuesday night.
The 85-year-old Waters spent 26 seconds moving her wig around on live camera as CNN’s Abby Phillip questioned her about Democrats’ plan to defeat former President Donald Trump in November.“They’ve seen President Biden, they’ve lived through his presidency, they’ve seen former President Trump, they’ve lived through his presidency, they’ve heard these arguments about democracy, about the fate of the election, and yet Trump is not only winning, but winning increasingly by a larger margin. So what is the plan among Democrats to change that trajectory? It sounds like you’re

All rise, and please honor The First Lady of the United States of America, DOCTOR Jill Biden!
You may genuflect, bow, curtsy, or kneel in proper homage to the woman who holds no office but is married to the president of the United States of America. She is a person for whom you did not vote but to whom you must pay homage, respect, and, indeed, worship because she married Joey from Scranton. And, it must be added, she now runs the country alongside her crackhead stepson.
Please remove your hats and remain standing.

There is one key reason why President Biden is stubbornly insisting — despite calls from some fellow Democrats to step aside — that he will not drop out of his race for reelection: Jill Biden.
The first lady is clearly the driving force behind his stumbling, grumbling, bumbling, mumbling bid for a second term despite obvious signs that he is not up to the rigors of the world’s toughest job for four more years.
Jill hungrily appears to want to cling to the White House more tenaciously than Mr. Biden. She clearly loves the public spotlight and the perks of the office too much to let them go.

At the annual assembly of the National Education Association (NEA) in Philadelphia last weekend, President Becky Pringle addressed representatives of the three-million-member labor union with a bombastic speech that sparked social media comparisons to Italian fascist dictator Benito Mussolini.
In her heavily political speech, Pringle raised such progressive issues as LGBTQ rights, unrestricted abortion, equity and inclusion. She shouted about the union having “worked hard to rid ourselves of a tyrannical, deceitful, and corrupt [Trump] White House,” about resisting any “scheme” such as school vouchers to “drain resources from our beloved public schools."

France is on the verge of a “financial crisis” and consequent economic decline after the surprise success of a hard left coalition in this weekend’s elections, the country’s outgoing finance minister Bruno Le Maire has warned. [SNIP] In a possible hint at future chaos, riot police clashed with left-wing demonstrators in Paris on Sunday evening.
The hastily assembled Popular Front (NFP) - spearheaded by left-wingers including former Presidential candidate Jean-Luc Melenchon - is pledging to increase public spending by £125 billion if they successfully form a government. They have also proposed a 90 percent tax on incomes over £340,000 a year.

WASHINGTON — Liberal US Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has introduced articles of impeachment against conservative Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito, her office said Wednesday.
The effort stands no chance of advancing in the Republican-controlled House of Representatives. To remove an official through this process, the House must vote to impeach and the Senate then must vote to convict. (Photo) Democrats for years have criticized the court, which has a 6-3 conservative majority, over rulings that advanced causes popular on the right. These have included rolling back abortion rights, expanding gun rights, rejecting race-conscious collegiate admissions and ruling that former presidents have broad immunity from prosecution
