On Monday, the Supreme Court released a benchmark decision on presidential immunity, and it has resulted in enough hot air being shed to melt the polar ice caps. Most of the hysterical claims made about this decision are about as fact-based as the phlogiston theory, and some of the most ridiculous claims are the assertions that presidents now have the power to order assassinations of their political opponents.
This is, of course, poppycock, which hasn't prevented even a Supreme Court Justice from doubling down on stupid. The people who would be called upon to carry out any such order, though, have a different take on the whole thing

Maybe someone should tell the three dissents how the system really works. Their ignorance is appalling for someone at that level, surely caused by the lack of merit for political appointments.

EXACTLY. This is what I know from spending some time with retired SpecOps folks and having an active duty SpecOps person in my family.
They will NOT follow unlawful orders. And on top of that, Trump isn't going to order anyone murdered, that is a really severe case of TDS, a serious, damaging mental illness which seems to be increasingly common.
And Sotomayor has caused the Dem idiots, of which there are tens of millions, to all do their hysterical, dimwitted freakout over "Trump will kill me" sort of crap. One day they need to grow up and join the real world.

What is scary is the how the Left keeps harping on immunity meaning the 'President can order Seal team six to kill political opponents"
It is almost as if they are looking for legal justification, loophole, or approval to do just this.

Sotomayor revealed her lack of intelligence and understanding of constitutional law with that silly dissent. She should be disbarred.

It may be an unlawful order for Delta Force, but the FBI was allowed to use deadly force if Trump had interfered and protested when they raided Mar-a-Lago. Interesting indeed. Who ordered that raid? (We know)

It's no wonder Chief Justice Roberts took his "Witless Latrina" to the woodshed over her poorly written "Dissent" over its total lack of understanding of the U.S. Constitution, or the UCMJ. And to think, this DOLT is making decisions that can change the jurisprudence of this nation and can impact the economy to the tune of many trillions of dollars. It would be best if in future all aspirants for political office from dogcatcher to POTUS be given an openly publicized test on the U.S. Constitution and Civil Government according to the level of office sought. Federal Judges should do something similar. If it's too demeaning, well then be consider yourself demeaned. It's not beneath Democrats to submit someone who doesn't have a clue about the office or position. Oh, and by the way, it's high time we pass a law to prevent foreign born individuals from becoming Federal or State Judges. In fact, we need to get extremely specific over who can be foreign born and hold positions of civic authority, from the aforementioned dogcatcher on up.

there are oodles of media reports in re the o=bideroids and so very many unlawful acts.
their body counts are piling up, or floating up, it would seem.

I'd be more worried for Kamela. Knocking her off leaves room for a new VP candidate like Newsom or Clinton who then could take over after Joe resigns. Joe isn't running things anyway.

what's worrisome is Left's proclivity to announce their intentions by projecting them on right, their advance warning system. since Engeron won't be jailing DJT anytime soon, one worries what these extremists will do now.

Of course the military won't assassinate anyone. That is what the CIA is for.
Rumor has it that the Supremes don't play together nicely and that there is animosity between the libs and some of the conservative judges. Going to work each day must be a barrel of laughs.

Obama used DEI to pick Sotomayor before DEI was "cool". Corporations have been bailing on DEI, Tractor Supply being most recent, but the govt will keep dragging its feet until Trump re-assumes office.

In exactly the same way, it should also be an unlawful order for prosecutors and DOJ officials to "murder" a political opponent using lawfare. And all such parties who engage in such meritless prosecutions should be held accountable. Once there are serious penalties for this, there will no longer be any "lawfare". Do it when you are reinstated, President Trump.

Show me one instance where conservatives ordered raids (even at dawn) on an American person's home.
Or sent tanks to cause the eventual murder of American children. I'll wait.

It’s clear leftists have never served in the military.
Maybe things have changed since I was a soldier, but we’d never follow an order like that.
Now, the criminal FBI or CIa? Probably so..

To be a Tier One Operator in the finest military on the planet you have to not only have the physical specs but the intelligence. These aren't the knuckle dragging neanderthals that leftist feminazis, man bum wearing soy boys, and war harping RINOs think they are. I've been around Navy SEALs and know this for a fact. Like their Army brethren they will NOT follow unlawful orders. PDJT for his part wouldn't give such an order because he unlike leftist America hating democrats isn't a power-hungry lunatic. Despite what the Wide Latina wrote in her idiotic dissent.

#s 3 & 4, the real and interesting question would be "Who ordered Merrick Garland to order/organize such a raid?" My guess is the same entity that ordered senior DoJ staffers to wire tap a sitting President and be obeyed by seasoned intelligence official willing to commit high treason..

You know Sotomayor is way off base when even the US Army Delta Force is calling her out. Sotomayor knows that her hypothetical murder your opponent using the military is clearly not a constitutional duty. She was fear mongering and grand standing. That is what liberals do when they have nothing else to respond with.

Looks ...to me...that three DEI justices haven't studied their constitution ...or they would know they are wrong...and their ignorance is out there for everyone to see....they are three angry and bitter women...not constitutional scholars....

the jab or job policy hurt many in the military. now they want to curry favour with those whom dr fakey betrayed.
but, be aware: theyre still flogging more plandemix, jabs, and medical injury/or death-despite all the studies.
that sounds unlawful.
