Breaking: NYT Reports Biden Mulling Withdrawal

Should I stay or should I go? That's the rock-and-roll version of Shakespeare's "to be or not to be." Given that Democrats face a tragedy of their own making in propping up a clearly incompetent Joe Biden for a run at a second term, feel free to choose your own reference, but it's a tragedy or comedy of their own making. After several days of Biden and his campaign denying that they had asked the existential question, the New York Times reported in the last hour that Biden is indeed mulling a withdrawal -- if his spin attempts fail to correct the damage he did on Thursday:

The real question nobody is asking is not about Biden dropping out of the campaign, but resigning his presidency. The world just witnessed how unfit he is to lead our great nation.

Hope Quid Pro Joe stays in. I want his behind to be whipped by President Trump like a rented mule. If Ole Yeller pulls out and PT wins he will claim that he would have beaten him. And if PT loses he will claim that it was his withdrawal that made it possible. The two who want The Delaware Dummy to hang in are Doctor Jill and Hunter. If The Idiot is gone DJ won't be able to get on the cover of OutHouse News and Hunter won't get pardons.

Hmmm… America, we are in a pickle. There are really no good answers save for electing Trump in November. Meanwhile, what really should be happening is this: a bipartisan groups of Congressional leaders needs to tell Biden he needs to resign immediately. Harris needs to be told she is not to try to run in his place. Her caretaker presidency needs to be a sort of “regency” similar to when children rose to thrones in Europe in the past. We are in danger as we have no one competent in charge and our enemies know it.

Michelle Obama Hears the Calls and Sees

The latest stories are that Joe Biden has been given only a few more days to prove he should be the Democrat nominee for president after his disastrous debate performance. If he leaves the race, the thinking is that the only person who could swoop in at this late stage and defeat Donald Trump in November is Michelle Obama, not Kamala Harris. The speculation is not without merit according to a new poll. Kamala Harris is a better-known quantity. She's held political office. She's one of the least respected and worst vice presidents America has ever seen. After slipping into the San Francisco District Attorney's Office under the, ah, tutelage

While the rest of America geared up to celebrate the Fourth of July, the Biden campaign was hard at work stepping on multiple rakes, and getting mocked into oblivion for them. On Wednesday afternoon, the official "Biden-Harris HQ" account, which I'm now convinced is run by White House pool boy Andrew Bates, went after Donald Trump over something called "Project 2025." What exactly is that? It's a transition proposal created by the Heritage Foundation and other conservative groups that includes reclassifying thousands of partisan federal employees so they can be replaced by the incoming executive.

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) issued a Fourth of July message in which it urged Americans to “reelect President Joe Biden” to protect our “fragile democracy” from the threat of Donald Trump, a “wannabe dictator.” Its full statement follows: On July 4, 1776, our country’s forefathers declared the United States’ independence and laid the foundation for our nation’s founding principles of equality, freedom, and liberty that we still strive to live up to today. Since that time, generations of Americans have dedicated their lives to preserving our freedoms and working toward a more perfect union – from our men and women in uniform, to the organizers

Before we get to the "best" recent example, a few words on the basics of how AI chatbots work (emphasis, mine): AI chatbots employ a variety of AI technologies, from machine learning—comprised of algorithms, features, and data sets—that optimize responses over time, to natural language processing (NLP) and natural language understanding (NLU) that accurately interpret user questions and match them to specific intents. The Boston Globe editorial board joined the chorus of legacy media outlets calling for President Joe Biden to step aside in the wake of his poor debate performance last Thursday. “In the days since last week’s presidential debate, President Biden’s team has said little that adequately explains why his performance was historically bad, beyond that he had a cold,” the Globe editorial board wrote. “What we mostly heard instead was the closing of ranks around a beleaguered and wounded candidate.”

The results of a new poll by the New York Times and Siena College were published Wednesday afternoon. It's good news for former President Trump. Not so much for President Biden. Concerns over Biden's ability to govern rose to new heights. Mr. Trump now leads Mr. Biden 49 percent to 43 percent among likely voters nationally, a three-point swing toward the Republican from just a week earlier, before the debate. It is the largest lead Mr. Trump has recorded in a Times/Siena poll since 2015. Mr. Trump leads by even more among registered voters, 49 percent to 41 percent. Doubts about Mr. Biden’s age and acuity are widespread and growing.

It's on! The Trump campaign has been uncharacteristically quiet since last week's presidential debate, in which Joe Biden came off with all of the intelligence, acumen, wit, and knowledge of a potted fern. Watching old Joe last week (and since) has been like watching a long row of dumpster fires being hit by a series of runaway train wrecks. On Wednesday, Team Trump released a statement (written by campaign staffers Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles) regarding Biden's (lack of) cognitive ability and the Democratic Party's malfeasance in keeping it as under wraps as they could. I wasn’t surprised to see how badly President Joe Biden performed last week in his first debate showdown with former President Donald Trump. The warning signs have been apparent for a long time, despite outright lies and denial from the White House and Biden advisers who’ve had the audacity to tell us that the president, 81, is A-OK. But a lot of Americans probably haven’t paid as close of attention, and many of them were honestly surprised by the president’s physical and mental state. I hope they’re paying attention now. And the latest polls make it seem like they are. I'll get to that in a bit.

Viral video captured the moment chairs and fists went flying during a wild brawl aboard a Carnival cruise ship, as security officers tried in vain to douse the melee. The high-seas scuffle erupted aboard the Carnival Paradise on the last night of a five-day cruise to Central America in early June — adding turbulence to an otherwise idyllic voyage, said passenger Nick Richardson, who shot the footage after coming up on the scene. “This is just what happens at 3 in the morning when you got a bunch of drunk girls from Tampa,” said Richardson, 43, who was on the cruise with his fiancee and three children.

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden's conduct behind closed doors, in the Oval Office, on Air Force One and in meetings around the world is described in the same dual way by those who regularly see him in action. He is often sharp and focused. But he also has moments, particularly later in the evening, when his thoughts seem jumbled and he trails off mid-sentence or seems confused. Sometimes he doesn't grasp the finer points of policy details. He occasionally forgets people's names, stares blankly and moves slowly around the room. Biden’s occasional struggles with focus may not be unusual for

A leading House Democrat is preparing a constitutional amendment in response to the Supreme Court’s landmark immunity ruling, seeking to reverse the decision “and ensure that no president is above the law.” Rep. Joseph Morelle of New York, the top Democrat on the House Administration Committee, sent a letter to colleagues informing them of his intent to file the resolution, which would kickstart what’s traditionally a cumbersome amendment process. “This amendment will do what SCOTUS failed to do — prioritize our democracy,” Morelle said in a statement to AP. In referring to Donald Trump, Morelle said the former president “must be held accountable for his decisions.

Democrats have a ready-made replacement if Joe Biden stands aside before November's election. She's been vetted. Her election would be historic. And she would easily take up the Biden mantle. There's one problem: Her name is Kamala Harris and by every measure she is the most unpopular vice president in American history – and among the least likely people to defeat Donald Trump in a general election fight. But Democrats may be stuck with her anyway. Former Democratic National Committee chairwoman Donna Brazile explained the party's challenge most succinctly.

(snip) Officials who were not part of the special counsel’s deliberations told CNN they believed the long-standing DOJ policy against criminally charging a sitting president does not extend to a president-elect.

WASHINGTON — Vice President Kamala Harris is “the future of the Democratic Party,” the White House declared Wednesday as leading Democrats and their allies position themselves to replace President Biden as the party’s nominee if the 81-year-old president steps aside. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre pronounced Harris as Biden’s political heir, at one point referring to her as “president,” when asked about his 2020 campaign remark that he would be a “transitional” candidate. “One of the reasons why he picked the vice president, President [sic] Kamala Harris, is because she is indeed the future of the party,” Jean-Pierre said at her regular briefing.

This is the fourth damning leak against Biden in two days.
