A delegate for President Joe Biden’s reelection effort warned on Monday that black women will abandon the party if Democrats replace the presumptive nominee with another “white man” instead of Vice President Kamala Harris. (snip) Areva Martin, an attorney and California delegate for Biden for President, said on “The Stephen A. Smith Show” that Democrats should “stay the course” with the president and that passing over Harris with a “white man” would be a dealbreaker with black female voters. (snip) "If you pick a white man over Kamala Harris, black women, I can tell you this, we gon’ walk away, we gon’ blow the party up.”

A new report suggests that (the) presidential debate affected director Rob Reiner and actress Jane Fonda so immensely that the latter was reduced to tears while the former screamed at the TV.
According to CNN, people in attendance at the Hollywood debate watch party this past Thursday said that Reiner and Fonda were emotionally swept up in seeing President Joe Biden perform poorly against former President Trump.
A debate watch party in Los Angeles on Thursday night happened to feature Harris’ husband Doug Emhoff, Pritzker, Whitmer and Beshear.

The only three Republican women in the South Carolina Senate took on their party and stopped a total abortion ban from passing in their state last year. In return, they lost their jobs.
Voters removed Sens. Sandy Senn, Penry Gustafson and Katrina Shealy from office during sparsely turned out primaries in June, and by doing so completely vacated the Republican wing of the five-member “Sister Senators,” a female contingent that included two Democrats and was joined in their opposition to the abortion ban. (snip) Instead of a total ban on abortion, South Carolina ended up with a ban once cardiac activity is detected, typically six weeks into a pregnancy.

Wichita State University is closing its women’s studies department, one of the oldest in the country, due to continuously low student interest.
The Department of Women, Ethnicity, and Intersectional Studies will be dissolved and its degree program will be merged with the English Department, according to an action plan approved earlier this month by the Kansas Board of Regents.
“As part of the Board’s academic program review process, this year the six state universities in Kansas collectively looked at 31 programs that didn’t meet at least three of four metrics related to enrollment, graduation, employment and earnings,” regents spokesperson Matt Keith said.

Pope Francis has denounced the arrogance of those who seek dominion over nature, which leads to the degradation of the environment. (snip) To claim the right to possess and dominate nature “represents a form of idolatry,” Francis declares, “a Promethean version of man who, intoxicated by his technocratic power, arrogantly places the earth in a ‘dis-graced’ condition, deprived of God’s grace.” (snip) This past April, Pope Francis told CBS News that climate change deniers are “stupid” to refute compelling evidence of a climate emergency.
“Some people are stupid (necios), and stupid even if you show them research, they don’t believe it,” the pontiff told CBS Evening News anchor Norah O’Donnell

Democratic senator Sheldon Whitehouse (R.I.) is sponsoring legislation to tackle so-called shrinkflation, saying that corporations "prey on consumers" by stealthily shrinking the quantity of snacks, toilet paper, and other consumer products to pad their bottom line. Whitehouse also holds hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of stock in those same corporations, according to a review of his portfolio.
In announcing his sponsorship of the Shrinkflation Prevention Act, Whitehouse cited a report from Senate Democrats that shames several alleged practitioners of shrinkflation, (snip) Whitehouse and his wife own between $303,000 and $910,000 in shares of the firms identified in the Senate report,

Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman lost his primary bid in New York’s 16th Congressional District on Tuesday against Westchester County Executive George Latimer, according to The Associated Press.
Bowman, who has served in Congress since 2021, lost to Latimer, who has received support from The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the AP projected. After many scandals and controversies, Bowman is the first member of the progressive “squad” to have been successfully toppled by a moderate challenger.

In its effort to blast “woke” military policies, a Washington-based legal watchdog this week sued the Pentagon for documents detailing the hows and whys of the U.S. Military Academy’s decision to delete its famous motto “Duty, Honor, Country” from its mission statement.
Judicial Watch told Secrets that the move came after West Point refused to turn over information about the change. As a result, the group filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit earlier this week.
“Given the woke virus infecting West Point, deleting the words ‘Duty, Honor, Country’ from its mission statement has sparked justified concern about what the Army’s rising leadership is being taught at the United States Military Academy."

Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) introduced a bill Friday that would allow presidents and vice presidents — current and former — to move their own civil or criminal cases from a state court to a federal court to stop political local prosecutions such as the one former President Donald Trump faced in New York, Breitbart News has learned exclusively.
“Presidents and Vice Presidents have a right to a fair trial free from political interference, and they should never be targeted by partisan state prosecutors and judges looking to score political points,” Tillis said in a statement provided to Breitbart News.

The world's largest airline pilot union suggested airmen and women stop using terms purportedly offensive to women and LGBTQ individuals, calling out terms like "cockpit" as non-inclusive.

Oakland's embattled Mayor Sheng Thao has had her home raided by the FBI, local media have reported.
The Democrat lawmaker's home on Maiden Lane was raided around 5:30am PT Thursday, CBS San Francisco reports.
It is unclear why the property was raided, but according to public records, it appears Thao rents the home.
Earlier this week, it was revealed Thao is facing a recall election as voters complain about soaring crime in the Bay Area city.
They say her progressive, soft-on-crime policies have emboldened criminals and driven away businesses.

Massachusetts' Democratic leadership announced a first-in-the-nation public education campaign warning about pro-life pregnancy clinics' "dangers and potential harm."
Ads on social media, radio, billboards and transit that began rolling out on June 10 warn women to "avoid anti-abortion centers," the Executive Office of Health and Human Services announced. The ads direct viewers to a Mass.gov webpage advertising how to "search for a trusted abortion provider." (snip) These (pro-life) clinics typically provide free testing, baby items, counseling and other forms of support for women who find themselves in unplanned pregnancies. Supporters say they provide education and resources for women to explore alternatives to abortion to make an informed decision about their pregnancy.
