Viral video captured the moment chairs and fists went flying during a wild brawl aboard a Carnival cruise ship, as security officers tried in vain to douse the melee.
The high-seas scuffle erupted aboard the Carnival Paradise on the last night of a five-day cruise to Central America in early June — adding turbulence to an otherwise idyllic voyage, said passenger Nick Richardson, who shot the footage after coming up on the scene.
“This is just what happens at 3 in the morning when you got a bunch of drunk girls from Tampa,” said Richardson, 43, who was on the cruise with his fiancee and three children.

An Emmy Award-winning CBS anchor claimed the Tiffany Network’s blind pursuit for diversity hires led to him getting canned because he is an aging, white, heterosexual male, according to blockbuster lawsuit.
Jeff Vaughn, 58, who spent eight years at a CBS-owned Los Angeles affiliate, alleged he was replaced by a younger, minority news anchor in 2022 in the $5 million discrimination lawsuit against CBS and parent company Paramount Global, which was filed in a California federal court Monday.
The complaint pointed to a CBS goal to ensure that half of all writers be nonwhite by 2023 and an initiative requiring half of all cast members on their reality shows be minorities.

Chatter about replacing President Joe Biden at the top of the Democrat ticket with several different Democrat governors is reportedly irking those in Vice President Kamala Harris’s orbit, with one source saying the discussions send an underlying message the party desires a “white” candidate, according to a report.
Politico reported the sour feelings within Harris’s camp as Govs. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) and Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) have been at the forefront of media speculation as to who could potentially replace Biden at the top of the ticket if Biden were actually to step aside.

Multiple brawls and wild chaos engulfed Washington Square Park in the aftermath of New York City’s Pride Parade Sunday as police battled to control the unruly mob of revelers, shocking footage shows.
Video from the jaw-dropping scene showed fistfights and hair-pulling as several troublemakers turned the crowded park into their own personal boxing ring while herds of onlookers watched with glee and even whipped out their phones to record the showdowns in Lower Manhattan.
At one point, two young men threw haymakers at each other before one took a tumble to the ground.

More than 50 cars were involved in a street takeover in downtown Los Angeles early Saturday as some went up in flames, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Video shows a car completely engulfed by a fire, sitting in the middle of an intersection as a thick black cloud of smoke rises from the vehicle. Other cars can be seen as they try to drive around the inferno.
LAPD said several vehicles were impounded after authorities responded to the area near East 18th Street and Main Street, where participants intentionally set two of the cars on fire.

After weeks of a campaign exposing Tractor Supply’s commitment to causes antithetical to its customer base’s values, the company has reversed course.
“We have heard from customers that we have disappointed them,” the company said in a post on X after a three-week effort by Robby Starbuck shining a light on Tractor Supply’s far-left positions and activities.
“We have taken this feedback to heart,” Tractor Supply continued, noting that moving forward, the company will only be involved in activities and donations directly tied to their business.

Conservative voices on the Supreme Court united to overturn a decades-old decision that gave a lot of deference to federal agencies and their ability to write rules with little input or oversight from Congress.
In a pair of decisions — Relentless, Inc. v. Department of Commerce and Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo — the Supreme Court ruled that the decades-old Chevron deference, a judicial test that would give deference to federal agencies so long as their interpretations of federal rules are "reasonable" and so long as Congress had not spoken directly on those rules, was not a valid test for regulatory agencies.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday blocked an Environmental Protection Agency regulation aimed at reducing ozone emissions that may worsen air pollution in neighboring states, handing a victory to three Republican-led states and the steel and fossil-fuel industries that had challenged the rule.
The 5-4 decision granted requests by Ohio, Indiana and West Virginia, as well as U.S. Steel Corp, pipeline operator Kinder Morgan and industry groups, to halt enforcement of the EPA's "Good Neighbor" plan restricting ozone pollution from upwind states, while they contest the rule's legality in a lower court.

“It’s sticker shock, isn’t it? Just when you look at shipping costs, those have come down, global food commodity prices have also come down, but food prices still remain high. Should the US invest in agriculture to boost the food supply in this country?” Schonberger asked.
Yellen, who is worth an estimated $20 million, began to reply “No” before Schonberger even finished her question.
“I think largely it reflects cost increases, including labor cost increases that grocery firms have experienced, although there may be some increases in margins,” Yellen continued.

Many states are failing to track how frequently children in foster care facilities are abused, sexually assaulted or improperly restrained, leaving them vulnerable to mistreatment, the U.S. Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General said in a report Wednesday.
The findings come as hotel heiress Paris Hilton heads to Congress to lobby in person on the problem. The report follows a Senate committee investigation that revealed children are subjected to abuse in foster care facilities around the country that are operated by a handful of large, for-profit companies and financed by taxpayers.

Representative Maxine Waters (D-CA) said on this week’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “The Saturday Show” that if former President Donald Trump wins in November, there will be violence and “more killings.” {snip}
Host Jonathan Capehart asked, “How concerned are you about your safety if Donald Trump is re-elected?”
Waters said, “I’m very concerned, not only about my safety and not only about the safety of members of Congress. I’m concerned about the safety of so many people in this country, particularly people of color. Donald Trump has said that if he does not win,it is going to be fraud,
