President Joe Biden criticized the Supreme Court in a White House address Monday evening over its ruling that former president Donald Trump is immune from criminal prosecution for official acts taken while in office, but not unofficial ones.
“For all practical purposes, today’s decision almost certainly means that there are virtually no limits on what a president can do,” Biden said. “This is a fundamentally new principle, and it’s a dangerous precedent.”
Biden said the presidency will “no longer be constrained by the law” and that “the only limits will be imposed by the president alone.”
“This decision today has continued the Court’s attack in recent years on

July 1. 2024......
"Biden wrapped his speech and dodged questions from reporters as he left abruptly."
"Biden has not taken questions from the press and has used teleprompters at his events, including a fundraiser in the Hamptons, following his disastrous debate performance against Trump last week."

Among his other weaknesses, Joe is unhinged here. Impeachment for high crimes and misdemeanors the proper control for the pres and vp…and the constitution and A25 provide for removal for inability to serve. Neither of these are altered by the SCOTUS decision to return to 250 year old constitutional principles.
As jb is as always wrong, his angst suggest that SCOTUS decision is correct.

Already well past his so-called "coherent hours", Biden snuck in this divisive bit of teleprompter assisted deception just before 7PM, when he turns into a pumpkin. In fact, already quite orange there as he shuffled off to bed.

Forget Israel and Ukraine. Biden is now fighting a two-front war against Trump and SCOTUS. Plus, I think Biden and his subordinates just called for retribution against SCOTUS conservative members. Remember Slo-Joe...the reason you were not charged was Robert Hur said you were too old and senile.

Biden was just reading some words placed on his teleprompter by persons unknown. There is no way that Biden could have read, and understood that comprehensive Supreme Court decision and understands all the legal issues involved in his current declined cognitive abilities situation that he has been enduring.

This from the guy that ordered the assignation of Trump via the FBI raid. And this ruling immunes him. Democrats get away with lawlessness like nothing since Stalin's Soviet Union and Hitler's Nazi Germany.

Like the fake surprise about Biden being senile, the Democrats are feigning surprise over something that has been accepted policy since the nation was founded: that the President is immune from prosecution for his official acts and decisions. This has never been questioned before. The only reason for the hand wringing hysteria is because the target for prosecution is Donald Trump. Try to prosecute Obama or Clinton for things they did as President and they would immediately claim presidential immunity.

It's not respectful, nor is it a "democratic" thing to do, attacking the Third Branch of Government in our Republic... from his Presidential Podium. Fine, analyze it, discuss it, but the hostile rantings of the dems high up in the ranks of the Party hierarchy, are stupid, idiotic and dumb.

Joe, hold that thought until next year when there is a new DOJ and you get subpoenaed.
Trump should point out to the MSM that Biden never holds an open press conference, rarely takes questions, and almost always is simply reading off a teleprompter. "If he is truly competent, why can't he simply stand there and take any and all questions for two hours?"

Who makes the law in this Constitutional Republic? It has always in the past been the US Constitution, the US Congress with powers given to the Congress by the US Constitution, and the US Supreme Court that historically has decided what both Constitutional and Congressionally passed law means. There is nothing in Constitutional or Congressionally passed law that gives a President the authority to decide what those laws mean, or to change either Constitutional or Congressionally passed law. It’s a President’s duty to enforce those laws or face impeachment by the Congress. In the entire history of the USA that’s they way it has always been until Biden and his leftist and progressive Democrat crew decided that the only way they could defeat Trump in the upcoming election was to have him convicted of as many criminal felony crimes by Democrat run courts, juries, and prosecutors in Democrat run cities and to put him in jail before the November election.

The court just slammed shut the door against a LOT of the Leftist lawfare attacks. The stricture is very broad, any case that addresses an official act of a President would be thrown out. THAT is what dems are upset about.
Further, this is nothing new. It is written in the Constitution and NECESSARY for a president to function, immune from personal court challenges. Immunity isn't a "bug", it's a REQUIRED feature.
So no, democracy is not threatened. The rule of law in our Constitutional Republic is intact and maintained. The Left has been repelled.
