Media Matters Staffers Offered the Chance
to 'Learn to Code'

At least a dozen staffers at the left-wing character assassination outlet Media Matters for America were laid off today. Ordinarily, you could feel sorry for market forces putting people out of work, but that doesn't apply in this case. There probably haven't been this many deserving people at the unemployment office since the last left-wing media outlet failed. No one is talking about why the staffers were sent off to learn to code, but there is a strong suspicion that it is linked to a civil suit filed by tech billionaire Elon Musk. Media Matters went after advertisers on "X," the platform formerly known as Twitter, based on provably false claims

Learning to code is not a successful alternative in many cases. Organizations that employ a large number of computer programmers have a staff where the top ten percent do the bulk of the work and the others are able to hide their lack of talent by learning how to be invisible, constantly begging for help from the experts, hiding in the Starbucks on the first floor or playing games in their cubicles or, better yet, "working from home." Good coders are hard to find but frauds are quite common.

Many companies have hired in H1Bs to replace the Americans. And a few have risen up in the ranks to be bosses of departments and thus in charge of who gets hired. And they prefer to hire more H1Bs from their home country. Most of the American coders that were already employed were let go by H1B managers.

That it takes a private individual like Elon Musk to combat the vile organization known as Media Matters is a sad commentary on the lazy and feckless Republican representatives in Washington DC. Media Matters operates as a tax exempt charity that is forbidden by the tax code to push a political agenda. In reality, for decades, it has operated as a storm trooper for the Democrat Party. It is long overdue for Republicans in congress to demand that the IRS remove Media Matters's tax exempt status. It is not the only so-called charity that receives tax benefits while working for the Democrat Party but going after Media Matters is a good place to start clearing out the grifters that work to destroy our country while essentially funding themselves with our money.

Media Matters for America was created solely to monitor Republicans. Of particular interest has been conservative leaning radio programs like Rush, Hannity, Sebatian Gorka, etc. with the main goal of finding something that was said that could be used against them and their advertisers. It was not an entity that created any content or produce anything the general public would consume or use.

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “America’s Newsroom,” U.S. Fleet Forces Command Commander Admiral Daryl Caudle stated that attempted penetrations of military bases by foreign nationals “is happening more and more. This is something we see probably two or three times a week, where we’re stopping these folks at the gate” in the Navy alone and the nationals come from all different nations and many times have passports and papers. Caudle said, “This thing of our military bases getting penetrated by foreign nationals is happening more and more. This is something we see probably two or three times a week, where we’re stopping these folks at the gate.”

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed Thursday that one of two Jordanian nationals who tried to sneak onto a Marine Corps base in Virginia this month had entered the U.S. illegally across the southern border in April. ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) confirmed in a statement to Fox5DC that the Jordanian national, referred to as “noncitizen 2” had entered the U.S. illegally less than a month prior: On April 8, 2024, the U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) arrested Jordanian noncitizen 2 near San Ysidro, California, following his unlawful entry into the United States. On April 9, 2024, the USBP issued Jordanian noncitizen 2 a Notice to Appear

The Biden administration is crediting strengthened border enforcement and a crackdown by the Mexican government on migrants traveling to the U.S. for a drastic drop in illegal southern border crossings in recent months. But Republicans argue that the border crisis has not abated. They argue instead that the administration is playing a shell game, using “unlawful mass-parole programs” to send migrants to ports of entry and then letting them into the country “often with little or no vetting.” According to a report from CBS News, over the first three weeks of May, U.S. Border Patrol agents apprehended about 3,700 migrants per day between official

One of the unintended consequences of the Ukraine War is the developing relationship between Russia and North Korea. North Korea has supplied Russia with badly needed ammunition and artillery shells while Moscow has begun to transfer technology to Pyongyang. It's a symbiotic relationship that will grow even closer in the coming weeks when Russian President Vladimir Putin visits North Korea to formally cement the partnership. With Moscow's backing, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un may be unleashed, say several military and intelligence sources in the U.S. “We have no doubt that North Korea will be provocative this year. It’s just a matter of how escalatory it is,” a U.S. intelligence official said.

Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito is a “threat to our democracy” and maybe even the clearly biased “prince of darkness” who has sympathized with insurrectionists and publicly advocated for the “movement to overturn a lawful election.” Those are just some of the claims by elected Democrats and left-wing activists who have jumped at the opportunity this week to dress down Alito, to run down the court’s legitimacy, and to call for the justice’s recusal from a couple of January 6-related cases. The chorus of voices calling for Alito’s recusal has grown in response to recent New York Times

“We are going to win New York!” Donald Trump boasted at what he described as his Bronx “love fest” Thursday evening. Well … maybe. But Trump’s unexpected rally did show he can win enough of the country to take back the presidency. First was the setting itself. You don’t see Joe Biden flying into Texas or Louisiana for a rally; he has a hard enough time convincing registered Democrats that he’s not a failed president. Trump has an energized base, giving him the flexibility to, say, spend a weekend on a New Jersey beach or an evening in the Boogie Down Bronx. He’s actively courting black and Hispanic voters,

Northwestern University president Michael Schill refused to say he wouldn’t appoint anti-Semites to the school’s committee to combat anti-Semitism during a congressional hearing on Thursday. Northwestern’s task force to combat anti-Semitism was appointed by Schill last fall in response to concerns about rising anti-Jewish sentiment at the school. The committee was recently disbanded after seven Jewish members resigned in protest over the university's decision to negotiate with anti-Israel protesters. Schill was questioned by lawmakers about his decision to appoint several members who advocated anti-Israel boycotts, supported the eliminationist "From the River to the Sea" chant, and defended a Palestinian terrorist who murdered college students.

With some partners, the left-wing Cook Political Report polled seven swing states and found Trump leading in six: Arizona (+4), Georgia (+4), Michigan (+3), Nevada (+8), North Carolina (+8), and Pennsylvania (+3). The seventh swing state, Wisconsin, is a tie. Other than North Carolina, Biden was certified the winner in the other six in 2020. Earlier this week, the ICC’s prosecutor, Karim Khan, accused Mr. Netanyahu, Mr. Gallant, and three Hamas leaders—Yehya Sinwar, Mohammed Deif, and Ismail Haniyeh—of war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip and Israel after the conflict erupted between the two in October 2023. Former President Donald Trump's rally is on in the South Bronx, and it's driving the Democrats crazy that so many people have come out to hear him in the deep blue area. How might we change the premise of Social Security to make it fully funded, more equitable, and sustainable indefinitely? Social Security is societal insurance, not an individual retirement plan. It’s intended to protect individuals against income loss due to retirement, disability, or death. It supports disabled individuals, survivors, and children and reduces poverty. Social Security protects taxpayers across American society. Without Social Security, millions would face poverty, straining families and state and local governments, increasing inequality, and destabilizing the economy.
