Last Friday morning, top-ranked golfer Scottie Scheffler arrived at the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Ky., for the second round of the PGA Championship. Traffic was stopped due to an accident that had taken place earlier that morning, and Scheffler tried to drive around it. The original reports were that an officer tried to stop Scheffler’s car, and the golfer dragged the officer, causing injury. Police arrested Scheffler and hit him with four charges, including a felony. Det. Bryan Gillis, who said he tried to stop Scheffler and later arrested him, did not turn his body camera on during the incident, but he later wrote a report

This cops record just came out. Oh boy. Seems he has a problem with many rules. Been disciplined multiple times. Doesn't seem to have problem lying on the record either. And yet here we days later and NOT UNTIL video evidence surfaced to prove his ass wasn't dragged anywhere, that the Authorities are starting to change their tune. All of the "Good Guys" went right along with this lying POS. Without the video, the 'thin Blue Line' would have railroaded him. Wanna know how you get BLM crap? Crap behavior like this will lose you allies faster than anything else in the world.

FTA: At the same press conference, Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg would not say whether the city was dropping the charges against Scheffler. He added that the city would not release any more footage until the legal process was complete. Oh, so we see that the City of Louisville is at least acting as if they want to play hard ball with the accused felon Scottie Scheffler. And people wonder why legal and political authoritiies in various places like Louisville have lost public support. The detective appears to have lied, and the Mayor's backing him up. As Slim Pickens exclaimed in Blazing Saddles, "What in the wide, wide world of sports is going on here?" As is well known, Scottie is Public Enemy #1, like Dillinger. Did dick tracy pull his gun?

Would the results have been the same if the defendant instead of being Scheffler had been some person with no notoriety and no money to defend himself? Right now, everyone is hoping the entire incident will just blow away because it's just plain embarrassing.

Once I thought I was in trouble with a police woman who was directing traffic. I had no idea what her signals meant. She looked like either a goony bird dancing the rites of spring or someone giving directions to someone landing on an aircraft carrier. One thing I do know: never argue with a police person.

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker has weathered the storm. The Super Bowl champion gave a controversial commencement address at Benedictine College earlier this month, triggering the Left for days. Butker, to his credit, has no regrets about the speech, which, while traditional, wasn’t extremist. It’s not to the Left’s liking, though not much is nowadays. And given the media landscape, everyone from head coach Andy Reid to quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce, three names you shouldn’t be shocked to see in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in the future, were forced to comment on it.

Federal magistrate judge Sarah Netburn is one of those judges who probably has ordinary Democrats doing face-palms so hard that you can see perfect fingerprints embedded in their foreheads. Naturally, Presidentish Joe Biden has decided what Netburn really deserves is a promotion to a U.S. District Court — and Sen Ted Cruz (R-Texas) was having none of it in Netburn's confirmation hearing on Wednesday. Before we get to that, though, a few words about the oh-so-very woke Judge Netburn. In 2022, Netburn found herself hearing the transfer request of William McClain — and this is where any questions about Netburn's fitness to serve are all answered with a hard NO.

Given what we know about what has been going on in Justice Juan Merchan’s Manhattan courtroom, including the preposterous, over-the-top bias of this judge for the prosecution and his overt antipathy for the defendant, Donald Trump, what explains his willing destruction of his own reputation as a judge? Each and every legal scholar who has weighed in on the course of the trial, from Alan Dershowitz to Jonathan Turley and countless others, (with the exception of those paid by CNN and MSNBC) is gobsmacked by Merchan’s thoroughly unconstitutional rulings, gag orders, contempt charges, exclusion of practically every witness with relevant testimony for the defense, and his allowance of non-relevant

After Michael Cohen's disastrous testimony, it would seem that the case against President Trump over the bookkeeping entry in a hush-money payment case would be in tatters as it goes to the jury. Many legal eagles have said as much. But the politically partisan New York justice in this case, Juan Merchan, doesn't give up that fast and clearly wants to salvage the case. He's instructing the jury to ignore the detail about the 'underlying crime' and treat the case the same way a burglary case is treated.

The Libertarian Party on Sunday nominated party activist Chase Oliver for president, rejecting former President Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. after they each spoke at the party’s convention. Third parties have rarely been competitive in U.S. presidential elections and the Libertarian candidate four years ago won 1% of the vote. But the party’s decision is getting more attention this year due to the rematch between Trump and Democratic President Joe Biden, which could hinge again on small vote margins in a handful of contested states. “We did it! I am officially the presidential nominee,” Oliver posted Sunday on X, formerly Twitter. “It’s time to unify and move forward for liberty.”

Only about seven or eight had been built under the program by April — while the fossil fuel industry has been cashing in by lobbying to have the stations built at existing gas stations.
