An antisemitic protest came to the University of Texas-Austin on Wednesday. A well-organized protest began in the morning and continued well into the night. There are reports that two members of the media were arrested. I saw on social media that a local Fox affiliate's photojournalist was taken away by police. The other report is that a CBS Austin news crew was "pushed and shoved." I haven't seen specifics on a second arrest. Here is Carlos, the Fox 7 photojournalist. Carlos was charged with criminal trespassing. Video footage posted on YouTube by FOX 7 Austin shows the photographer taking footage of the moment law enforcement began pushing back the protest line,

Before he went into court in New York City on Thursday morning, Donald Trump stopped by to talk to some construction workers, shake some hands, sign some hats, and make some news. As I pointed out, Trump said after shaking hands and signing hats that Biden is so bad that a Republican stands a chance of winning New York in the November presidential election: "I think we have a good chance of winning New York." Matt mused on that idea, encouraging Trump to gird his leads in other states. He's not alone in thinking that Trump ought not to get any crazy ideas, but Trump isn't having it.

The 3-2 vote along partisan lines is a victory for Democrats, who have pushed for this type of regulation for the last two decades and say it’s necessary for consumer protection, fair competition and national security. The rules, which prevent broadband providers from blocking and throttling consumers’ internet traffic, were repealed in 2017 during the Trump era. The order also reclassifies broadband as a telecom service, as the 2015 rules did, expanding the agency’s authority to regulate internet networks. Essentially, the grand jury overruled the county judge. The illegal aliens are still in jail because they have an ICE retainer against them. That's the federal jurisdiction. A county court-at-law judge found no probable cause on Monday to continue holding 140 illegal aliens at the El Paso County Jail. They were detained on state riot charges. So, El Paso County Court-at-Law No. 7 Judge Ruben Morales agreed with El Paso County Chief Public Defender Kelli Childress

U.S. economic growth slowed more than expected in first quarter of 2024, with inflation-weary consumers tightening their belts and spending less, the government reported on Thursday. The figures published by the bureau of Economic Analysis showed gross domestic product rose at a 1.6% annualized clip during the first three months of the year, after increasing 3.4% in the fourth quarter of 2023. The pullback in consumer spending comes alongside higher prices and interest rates. "This was an interesting mix of data signals, and the ultimate result is higher U.S. yields, lower equities and a stronger dollar," Kyle Chapman, FX Markets Analyst at Ballinger Group, stated. "Growth momentum is evidently cooling off sharply

The Democrat attacks on Trump have brought to mind a scene from Star Trek II, The Wrath of Khan--the only really good Star Trek movie ever made. Khan keeps trying to kill Kirk, and he keeps failing despite his supposedly being a superior being. He is bigger, smarter, faster, and a survivor, but somehow can't beat the everyman captain. After yet another failed attempt to kill Kirk, one of the key memorable scenes plays out: (X). What brought this to mind was the results of a Morning Consult/Bloomberg poll of the key swing states, which shows Biden's support in the key swing states pretty much collapsing. Former President Donald Trump said sarcastically he will remove “lethargic” for the list of insults of former Attorney General Bill Barr, after his “wholehearted endorsement.” Trump posted on Truth Social late Wednesday: Wow! Former A.G. Bill Barr, who let a lot of great people down by not investigating Voter Fraud in our Country, has just Endorsed me for President despite the fact that I called him “Weak, Slow Moving, Lethargic, Gutless, and Lazy” (New York Post!). Based on the fact that I greatly appreciate his wholehearted Endorsement, I am removing the word “Lethargic” from my statement. Thank you Bill. MAGA2024!

It’s not entirely coincidental that just weeks after President Joe Biden announced his latest plan to cancel student loan debt, antisemitic protests broke out on elite college campuses across the country. Biden’s bailout schemes only embolden these entitled brats. Students at some 18 colleges have staged anti-Israel “encampment” protests. At Columbia University (where a four-year degree will set you back north of $350,000), the protests got so out of hand and so virulently antisemitic that a rabbi at Columbia urged Jewish students to “return home as soon as possible” and the university moved to mostly hybrid classes. This has been going on for more than a week at Columbia

If the economy is so good, why do small business leaders feel so bad? (Snip) Amazingly, CEOs of small companies are even more fearful of the future today than during the COVID-19 pandemic, when most businesses were shuttered. “Smaller businesses are being crowded out by complex regulations and direct competition from the $35 trillion national debt,” Malpass concludes. “The Treasury borrowed $23 trillion in 2023 alone, much of it in the expensive short maturities needed by smaller businesses for working capital.” (Snip) “Our members feel as though Biden has declared war on small businesses,” Ortiz said.

F–k you, pigs,” the crowd could be heard shouting as they harassed the officers and demanded they release the woman in custody.

The Biden administration appears to be using a federal agency to go after a family that has donated significantly to Republicans by suing its company for “racially discriminatory hiring practice” over background checks. The business, Sheetz Inc., is a chain of convenience stores and the Sheetz family has long supported Republicans in Pennsylvania and the Midwest, according to records obtained by Judicial Watch. In the last few years, the Sheetz’s have donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to Republican causes and political candidates,

A top Hamas political official told The Associated Press the Islamic militant group is willing to agree to a truce of five years or more with Israel and that it would lay down its weapons and convert into a political party if an independent Palestinian state is established along pre-1967 borders. The comments by Khalil al-Hayya in an interview Wednesday came amid a stalemate in months of cease-fire talks. The suggestion that Hamas would disarm appeared to be a significant concession by the militant group officially committed to Israel’s destruction.

If you have followed law and politics for any length of time, you have probably heard of “speaking indictments.” That’s where the prosecution will write an indictment or court motion with very granular -yet perhaps not pertinent- details of a case against a suspect that highlights a much bigger picture than a singular perspective against the individual defendant. The intent is to make the public aware of the details within a case by making them part of the court record. In the Special Counsel Jack Smith constructed Lawfare case against Donald Trump, what is generally called “the documents case”, involving the raid on Mar-a-Lago, President Trump’s attorney,

On Wednesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Alex Wagner Tonight,” Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) stated that House Speaker Rep. He knows he might be on the chopping block, and it is not surprising that he would go out to Columbia University and stir up really more anger and hate and endanger the lives of young people who are at that encampment at Columbia University.”

New York—A reluctant Donald Trump will be back in a New York City courtroom Thursday as his hush money trial resumes at the same time that the U.S. Supreme Court hears arguments in Washington over whether he should be immune from prosecution for actions he took during his time as president. But he had asked to skip out on his criminal trial for the day so he could sit in on the high court’s special session, where the justices will weigh whether

And one of the reasons is because I think many of our critical problems, including deregulation, crime, restoring law and order, restoring control over our borders, rebuilding our defense in this increasingly dangerous world, standing by our allies, I trust President Trump to do that much more so than President Biden, I think.

Years before the dismissals, tensions had been simmering between the company’s management and some activist employees over Project Nimbus, a $1.2 billion Google and Amazon deal to supply the Israeli government with cloud services, such as artificial intelligence...
