As many as 600 teenagers, most of them black, rioted Saturday night at Six Flags Over Georgia. At least one teen was shot Cobb County officers said between 500-600 teens were “running through the park and fighting.” At one point th crowd opened fire on officers as they ran onto Six Flags Parkway. At some point, “multiple people began shooting, hitting an unoccupied CCPD marked patrol car,” according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. “As officers identified where the shots were coming from, they ran after people who had run into the woods. The video is horrifying. Check out the response from the Park: “It is incredibly disappointing that our community is disrupted at public events throughout the region by groups of underaged youth,” Six Flags Over Georgia said in a statement to Fox 5 Atlanta. “Just like other venues in the area, we are committed to keeping this type of trouble outside our park and off our property. There was police activity involving gunshots; we want to confirm there was no shooting at our property or parking lot. This took place on South Service Road that is not owned or operated by Six Flags. However, we join our community and the Atlanta region in our commitment to safety and security. We won’t put up with that type of activity here.”

Decades ago, Six Flags Over Georgia used to be a fun place to take the family. When my family visited in the late '60s, the rides were good, but I most fondly remember the passenger train chugging around the property. As the train was stopping, the conductor said, "Hold on, hold on, hold on ... GEET OFF!" Very Southern. Six Flags is located in an area that is now riven by rampant crime. Sadly, I agree with OP. If hooligans aren't punished, we'll have them everywhere, expecting to do as they please at our expense. If we don't deal effectively with criminals, we'll be in an Escape from New York scenario, but without Snake Plesskin. We need many Snakes right about now.

Louisville KY had a nice family amusement park on the river (in the west end). You know who felt emboldened and started riots on opening day in the late 60's. And after 80+ years, that was the end. After trying to reboot it with different names, Caucasians were "not allowed" and never went back. Shortly thereafter, the entire place burned to the ground

That is not a "Juvenile Crime" Clearly it was "Organized" including large groups on at least two sides...using the colors and gang signs of National/International Criminal gangs...RICO stuff, targeting minors. The inner city thug class is just totally out of control, and so rarely gets any punishment for their violence, they see no reasons not to be violent whenever they imagine the slightest social friction....real or imagined. They just start stomping people, IF YOU'RE LUCKY, and all too often go to guns instantly at any perceived slight or social friction. This is why I am more often carrying a gun with 16 rounds rather than a gun with 8 rounds before reloading. Herds of hair-trigger violent thugs....8 rounds may be woefully inadequate in some situations.

A California man has become the first person in the United States charged with illegally smuggling greenhouse gases into the country, officials said Monday. Michael Hart of San Diego was arrested under the American Innovation and Manufacturing Act of 2020, which prohibits the importation of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) without proper permits from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). HFCs are potent greenhouse gases commonly found in refrigerators and air conditioners, building insulation, fire extinguishing systems, and aerosols. They can be hundreds to thousands of times more potent than carbon dioxide at trapping heat in the atmosphere, exacerbating the climate crisis.

As jab-peddling continued, the “experts” at the CDC rolled out their latest recommendations regarding COVID and the flu “about 4.5 years late.” When names like Dr. Anthony Fauci, Dr. Deborah Birx and Dr. Robert Redfield were just beginning to become readily recognizable by the public at the beginning of 2020, many may recall how masking was discounted as a mostly futile practice and COVID-19 was being regarded as a “bad flu.” Now, after both of those notions had been cast asunder in favor of panic porn and illogical lockdowns that divided society by “essential” and “non-essential” workers, the CDC released their updated recommendations on dealing with respiratory viruses

President Joe Biden’s White House has begun referring to border crossers and illegal aliens as “newcomers and “people who are in the country” — a terminology distinction that conflicts with federal immigration law. On Thursday — while promoting a Senate bill to preserve his catch and release network at the United States-Mexico border — Biden’s White House made a passing reference to border crossers and illegal aliens, calling them “newcomers” to the U.S. The White House fact sheet on the Senate bill reads: The bill also includes $1.4 billion for cities and states who are providing critical services to newcomers,
‘Super Core’ Inflation Soared In January,

A key measure of inflation rose last month at the fastest pace since March of 2022. The personal consumption expenditure price index for services excluding housing and energy services—often called “super core” inflation—rose 0.6 percent in January. This inflation gauge rose this much in March of 2022, December of 2021, and in March of 2021. It is historically rare for this metric of inflation to rise at this high of a monthly pace. Prior to Biden’s presidency, it had only happened three times in this century, including a single month immediately following the 9/11 terror attacks. Before that, the measure had not jumped 0.6 percent since 1993.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul knows she has spooked her state’s business community. That’s why she went on a talk show last week to calm their very legitimate fears that they would be next. If former President Donald Trump can be prosecuted and fined hundreds of millions of dollars for a common business practice, who is safe? Hochul said New Yorkers are generally “honest people, and they’re not trying to hide their assets and they’re following the rules… This judge determined that Donald Trump did not follow the rules.” Hence the $355 million fine levied by the court.
