A key measure of inflation rose last month at the fastest pace since March of 2022.
The personal consumption expenditure price index for services excluding housing and energy services—often called “super core” inflation—rose 0.6 percent in January. This inflation gauge rose this much in March of 2022, December of 2021, and in March of 2021.
It is historically rare for this metric of inflation to rise at this high of a monthly pace. Prior to Biden’s presidency, it had only happened three times in this century, including a single month immediately following the 9/11 terror attacks. Before that, the measure had not jumped 0.6 percent since 1993.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul knows she has spooked her state’s business community. That’s why she went on a talk show last week to calm their very legitimate fears that they would be next. If former President Donald Trump can be prosecuted and fined hundreds of millions of dollars for a common business practice, who is safe?
Hochul said New Yorkers are generally “honest people, and they’re not trying to hide their assets and they’re following the rules… This judge determined that Donald Trump did not follow the rules.” Hence the $355 million fine levied by the court.

We’ve reported on the recruiting problems plaguing the United States armed forces. To put it bluntly, it hasn’t been going well.
So what to do if you’re the U.S. Army? Stop with the focus on “woke” like DEI and transgender issues? Treat the military with respect?
Nah. If you’re operating under the Biden administration, you simply cut your numbers. It’s easier than solving the problem.
To wit, the Army on Tuesday released an “Army Force Structure Transformation” paper that announced a force reduction of 24,000 positions – roughly five percent of the force.
Problem solved.

And it could come as early as this afternoon. After an in camera session with Terrence Bradley, Judge Scott McAfee ruled late last night that Nathan Wade's divorce attorney could not be shielded from testifying under a claim of attorney-client privilege. As a result, Bradley has to testify as to his personal knowledge about Wade's relationship wth Fani Willis.
And given how hard Wade and Bradley fought to prevent this, one can presume that Bradley's story will line up better with the cell-phone records than the story told by Wade and Willis under oath:

Once again, Hollywood’s woketardery flamed out at the weekend box office, which is down -32 percent over this same weekend last year.
All told, the box office grossed $64 million this weekend. That’s not what one movie earned this weekend. This is what ALL the movies earned.
Oh, and guess what the only hit of the weekend is? Bob Marley: One Love. Despite terrible reviews, One Love has earned $72 million over two weeks.
But-but-but, I was told that all of these woke movies bomb — not because woke sucks — but, but, but because America is racist.
But-but-but, if racism is why all those woke movies bomb,

BORDER TOWN USA: A Venezuelan migrant who illegally crossed the Mexican border into Texas in 2022 is charged in the murder of a Georgia nursing student. The Biden administration released the Venezuelan national in El Paso where he listed an NGO in New York City as his destination.
A source within U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) told Breitbart Texas that its officers in the Atlanta field office arrested 26-year-old Jose Antonio Ibarra where he is now charged with the alleged murder of University of Georgia – Athens (UGA) nursing student, 22-year-old Laken Hope Riley. If you've been paying any attention at all to the news for the past couple of years, you've no doubt heard about the increased levels of crime and violence in Chicago, along with so many other large, blue cities. At the same time, we've seen a disturbing rise in school shootings and other criminal activity in our public schools, with the Windy City's public schools additionally being overrun by the children of illegal migrants. Rushing to the rescue this week was Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson. His brilliant plan to address these concerns involves keeping a campaign promise he made while running for office.

The number of Chinese migrants who have crossed into California via the San Diego border with Mexico is now greater than the number of Mexican nationals who swarm into the progressive sanctuary state.
Citing data obtained from Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Fox News reports that “Chinese nationals are the second-largest nationality encountered at the border in San Diego Sector since the fiscal year began in October.”
“There have been 21,000 Chinese nationals encountered, second only to Colombia (28,000),” the data revealed. “Third is Mexican nationals with 18,700, followed by Brazil (8,700) and Ecuador (7,700). Other countries of origin include Turkey, Guinea, India, Guatemala and Peru.”

An illegal alien, accused of causing St. Johns County, Florida, sheriff’s office Sgt. Michael Kunovich’s death, has filed a federal civil rights lawsuit claiming his limited English-speaking skills make him disabled.
As Breitbart News reported, 19-year-old illegal alien Virgilio Aguilar-Mendez of Guatemala was arrested in May 2023 and has been charged with resisting an officer with violence and manslaughter in connection with Kunovich’s death.
This week, Aguilar-Mendez’s defense attorneys filed a federal civil rights lawsuit [snip] claiming that their client is disabled because he does not speak English or Spanish

A pro-Ukraine group launched a six-figure ad buy in key districts in a bid to urge Republican members of Congress to push forward the supplemental legislation, which includes military aid for Ukraine, for a vote on the House floor.
The minute-long spot from Republicans for Ukraine, “No Weakness in the Face of Aggression,” features lifelong party members across the country describing the importance of the United States’s continued support of Ukraine.
In the ad, a Republican man from California says, “If we don’t support Ukraine, I fear China to potentially see that as a signal where they believe that they can invade their neighbors, too.”

The now infamous binder contains hundreds of pages about the Crossfire Hurricane scandal. It contains damaging information about the corrupt actors involved in our government. Two different DOJ Attorney General’s have defied President Trump’s direct lawful order to publish the binder in the Federal Register. It’s been over three years now, and the DOJ continues to defy the presidential order and every FOIA request to make it public. Can we now raid the homes of former acting AG Monty Wilkinson, and current AG Merrick Garland? You can still find the link to this memorandum of declassification here.
The DOJ had already made redactions to protect sources and methods,

During a portion of an interview with ABC News Senior Investigative Correspondent Aaron Katersky aired on Tuesday’s broadcast of ABC’s “World News Tonight,” New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) responded to concerns that the fraud verdict against 2024 Republican presidential nominee former President Donald Trump will force businesses out of the state by stating that “tourism is up and Wall Street is doing just fine.”
After playing a clip of James saying that if Trump can’t pay the judgment, they’ll request the seizure of his assets, Katersky said, “Trump was held liable for exaggerating his wealth and inflating the value of his real estate
