We’ve Reached The Tipping With Trump

Was the $355 million fine against Donald Trump, for a “crime” that even the judge issuing the ruling admitted hurt no one, a bridge too far? New York Gov. Kathy Hochul seems to think so, which is why she rushed out to say that other people doing business in New York have nothing to fear: “Law-abiding and rule-following New Yorkers who are businesspeople have nothing to worry about because they’re very different than Donald Trump and his behavior.” What she should have said is: “if they are different from Donald Trump and his political views.” Because nothing about this case, or the multitude of other unprecedented legal attacks

FTA: “He failed to get the border wall built, for example. He made some serious mistakes in his appointments. He botched the handling of COVID-19.” I give the author one out of three but Trump got the border wall done as much as he could considering he was fighting every open border zealot in Washington to do so. He did more than any President to keep that promise. Secondly, regarding Covid. Maybe he would have done a better job if he had had an HONEST expert, Fauci, telling the truth and not pushing his agenda. Nothing like this had ever hit this country and Trump was bombarded with criticism anytime he even offered another solution. Remember, what the left said when he even mentioned hydrocholorquine? He was vilified and called a dunce. So, let’s walk a mile in his shoes at that time and see how anyone would fare against those Covid-Nazis. The author is right. Democrats will use the Trump strategy going forward because it is who they truly are and how they believe they can behave. We are not dealing with honest brokers anymore. These people are vicious liars and will do anything to retain their power. This is who they are and what we will contend with from here on out. We had better wake up to that fact and be prepared to fight them and win or we will be subjected to their vicious and lawless government without restraint. What they have done to President Trump is just a warning to the rest of us. Buck us and we will crush you.

Here's the formula for future political prosecutions: 1. Accuse a political opponent of a victimless crime. 2. Shop for a judge who will find the political opponent guilty at the start of a non-jury hearing, 3. Impose an exorbitant fine on the political opponent. 4, Forbid the political opponent from using any banks to secure a loan to pay the exorbitant fine. 5, Begin a legal process to take the political opponent's properties. Sounds very Communist to me. Putin would be proud.

This DA and the Judge are the ones here who are guilty. This is the most insane case in the history of this country, and the Supreme Court should be jumping up and down to straighten this mess out, and their first move should be to disbarr the people involved.

Ah, I & I, every President makes bad personnel choices. And unlike other Presidents, Trump's mistakes were magnified 1000 times from every legacy media roof top. I would consider Lloyd Austin to be a horrible hire. Along with Karinne Jean Pierre, Mayorkas and of course, Kamala Harris, among many many others. And unlike Biden, Trump had little to zero support from his Senate Majority leader and the House Speaker. McConnell and Paul Ryan respectively. So despite all the obstacles thrown his way, Trump still managed to accomplish much more than eny of his predecessors in one term. But he does fight back, unlike 99.9% of the GOP.

I really liked your comment, #6. The biggest threat to democracy, or rather our Republic, is one-party rule. There are so many recent examples. Italy’s Fascists, and Russian, Chinese, and Cuban communist parties that rose to power through violent revolution, but let’s remember that Hitler and the Nazi Party initially gained power through a national election. It can easily happen here. It is now easy to imagine Biden’s Democrat party taking over the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of government through election interference. There would be no protections for the political minority and the protections enumerated in the Bill of Rights would not be guaranteed. We’ve seen examples of this already with government taking swipes at free speech, free religion, free press, free assembly, freedom from illegal search and seizure, speedy trials, impartial juries, excessive fines (8th amendment) and usurping states’ rights.

Article VIII of the US Constitution seems to come into play with the fine imposed on President Trump by Judge Engoron: Amendment VIII "Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted." "...nor excessive fines imposed". Also interesting was that the time given him to pay the fines was short enough that he has almost no ability to sell off property to pay them. The size and time allowed seem to be designed to cause maximum pain. The judge's refusal to extend it 30 days also seems to reinforce that when taken in the context that Letitia James, NY AG is expressly going out of her way to say they'll seize his properties if he doesn't pay in time. Lawfare.

The left is having a party now, but when these political suits are thrown out, Trump is going to sue all these individuals for everything they have. Any NY is not going to be happy, when they learn they will have to pay loss of earnings damages on the Trump properties, and interest on the the $355 million they wrongfully seized. NY and these individuals will be having hell for breakfast. It will take 5 years, but it will happen.

Seems to me that there are more than a few pro-Trump billionaires in the country. Each could "loan" (Biden style) enough to cover the fine, allowing Trump to move forward with his appeal. Come on Elon, time to round up the successful conservative boys and girls and come up with the cash. You can call it the FJB Cash Roundup.

Earlier this week a couple of propagandists, also identified as scholars, released a ranking of U.S. presidents. It has about as much credibility as the Clinton Russia hoax. But it does reinforce the gaslighting narrative that so many of our institutions are engaged in. The list, part of a Presidential Greatness Project compiled by a pair of university professors, ranks Joe Biden as the 14th best president. Ever. We’re talking the Joe Biden who is in office today. There has been no other president from an earlier era named Joe Biden to be confused with. The academic malpractice doesn’t end there.
