The city’s powerful principals’ union has secured a lucrative new contract that is expected raise members’ salaries over the next five years by nearly 17%.
Mayor Adams announced the tentative agreement with the Council of School Supervisors and Administrators – which represents 6,400 principals, assistant principals, supervisors and education administrators — while speaking at the union’s annual leadership conference Saturday at the New York Hilton Midtown.
The package – which is retroactive to Jan. 29 and runs through March 29, 2028 – includes yearly raises ranging from 3% to 3.5% that total 16.77% when compounded over the length of the agreement

Failure pays well in New York. Imagine what kind of money they could make if they ran successful schools and the students could actually read and do math.

What a brilliant idea it was to give China most favored nation status 25 years ago! Now , they produce the majority of the world’s consumer goods with modern innovative factories and technologies . And, somehow, the warmongers in our national government think that we should go to war with them in 2026.
May God help us !

1, if the kids were getting a real academic education, the principals would all get fired. That is not the purpose of public school.

This is a big payoff to the union for the votes of its members. It's a bribe!

And the kids cannot read, talk in proper English, write a sentence correctly, do basic math, understand the history of our country, appreciate the wonder or science, think through a problem. But it's okay because they all have an equal outcome. Stupid is as stupid does. And these kids are butt ugly stupid. And it is shameful.

When are the Pubbies going to outlaw public employee unions?
Those "unions" are nothing but money launderers. They bargain with corrupt pols to get other people's money - - then they launder it back to those very same pols. And the laundered money is used to keep the corrupt pols in office.
And yet - - the Pubbie RINOs are either completely unaware that there's a war going on in which they are the victims - - or - - they're complicit in it.

Seems like a lot but doesn't even keep up with inflation. Did they get 30% increases over the last 2.5 years to keep up to Biden's inflation?

As in Orwell's Animal Farm . . . the pigs are wallowing in "plenty" while the outsiders struggle to stay afloat. All this while graduates can not read, can not formulate a simple sentence, or do simply everyday math.

if there is a viable NYC in 5 years
- reason?: unions and union appeasement will crush the economics of the whole city structure
- next will be another city agency and after that another city agency
- the unions can never be appeased, they're just like terrorists when in negotiations

How the h* can there be such a thing as a "principles union"? Next, there'll be a Governors Union or maybe a general US Governing Elite Union. Oh, wait, I guess that's what the Uniparty really is...
