After the Jim Jordan fiasco in Congress,
the GOP's traitors out themselves

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.” --Marcus Tullius Cicero The uniparty, that deep state bureaucracy that rules over us all, determined that the people should not have the Speaker of their choice. A clear majority of Republicans wanted Rep. Jim Jordan to replace Rep. Kevin McCarthy for good and obvious reasons.

The clear majority that wanted Jordan over McCarthy has a fight on its hands, doesn't it? We see the traitors loud and clear, but what will the non-RINOs and Pubs who want to get reelected do? The uniparty is telling US who they are in living color; we should believe them and act accordingly.

The main thing the Republican party as a whole doesn't want is to be identified in any way with Trump or anything he stands for. For if they were they wouldn't be part of Washington's "in-clubs" and might even be "disrespected" by their "peers." As a result they might as well be democrats by name... Strange that MAGA has become a term of contempt. MAGA: Make America Great Again........how in the devil could that be construed into anything bad?

I have voted for these bozos for over 50 years, sometimes holding my nose. NOTHING has ever gotten better in all that time. It wasn't the democrats, it WAS the Republicans all that time standing in the way of progress. The uniparty rules. These people stand for their own self interest only. We are circling the drain and it's too late to save what little is left. These traitors have killed us, we will soon fall.

The following summarizes why I remain very pessimistic about keeping the House in 2024. We're our own worst enemy. "To the millions of us who desperately wanted Jim Jordan to become Speaker, those twenty-five spoilers will forever be known to a large majority of Republicans as traitors, betrayers."

I really don't see why people are so freaked out and angry at a paralyzed Congress. Congress ONLY writes laws which take away a freedom by making something that we used to be able to do freely, illegal, and making things we DON'T want to do, mandatory. And raise our taxes, and hand out more of out money to money grubbers and drive us deeper into debt. Yes, there are a few examples to the contrary, but they are extremely rare events. It seems pretty obvious that a paralyzed Congress is a GOOD THING for most Americans. I hope that they stay paralyzed for a year.

I am convinced the Republican Party, as a whole, is comfortable in a their role where they can b i t ch about the dims but don't have to actually govern. They live comfortably through campaign donations from businesses which only want to appear bi-partison and the fools who actually believe they want to change and limit government. I will never give a cent to either party and will only donate to indiduals.

They have always counted on the belief that voters will forgive their ineptitude and begging for bribes, and vote for them simply because they aren't democrats. Sometimes it has actually worked. I voted for McCain and Romney even though I believed them both to be scoundrels simply because the alternative was worse. What we could really use is a candidate with integrity who loves America. Well, that wont work. They'll sue him and tie him up in court on fake charges just to wear him down and get rid of him.

Excellent summary of McCarthy’s failures although many of those failures were due to the intransigence of people like those who refused to support Jordan. The author, however, neglects the fact that only 4% of Republican congressmen supported removing McCarthy. The eight who effected his removal did so only by colluding with the Democrats. Republicans voted 96% to keep McCarthy as Speaker. The Democrats voted 100% to remove him. Big win for the Democrats With the humiliation of Jim Jordan we see now that Matt Gaetz accomplished nothing except empower weaklings like the two dozen who now hold all the cards. They will select the next speaker, who will be far less conservative than McCarthy. Thank you Matt. The deep state’s favorite Republican and reliable tool of Biden, Pelosi, Schumer and Mitch McConnell.

These traitors have been feeding Americans a steady diet of POISON every since the Tet offensive in Vietnam, in 1968. Feed a Nation a diet of POISON for 55 years, and that nation will be pretty sick. Look around, America is pretty sick, with the sickness concentrated in the big cities, where Urban Thug Culture has displaced American culture.

The quote from Cicero here does not appear in any of Cicero's works. These are actually the words of author Taylor Caldwell in her historical-fictional novel of Cicero, "A Pillar of Iron" (1965). In the book, she attributes the words as being said of Cicero by the Roman historian Sallust, but these words do not appear in Sallust either. They are entirely Caldwell's.

Mitt Romney voted to impeach President Trump for a phone call in which the president encouraged Ukraine to investigate allegations of serious corruption—coincidentally involving the Biden crime family—but according to a new book, the failed politician admits he had no idea what Burisma was when he voted to impeach a duly-elected president for calling on foreign governments to investigate alleged criminality. That is extreme ignorance (not to mention dangerous) when a senator is willing to impeach a president just because he doesn’t like him, all without knowing the facts.

Most of the Muslim world has joined hands with most of the leftist world to make a single argument: Israel is a colonialist occupier that must be routed from the Muslim Arabs’ native land. To the extent Hamas launched an incursion into Israel, it was a necessary act to end imperialism. Many of us (me included) fight back with history showing that Jews are the indigenous people and Muslims the colonialists. That’s a pointless argument because the colonialist claim is just a cover: Islam and leftism are grounded in hatred for Jews, which plays out in the pointed savagery of the attack and open calls for Jewish deaths

The current kerfuffle in the Republican party’s attempt to select a Speaker of the House to replace Kevin McCarthy brings to mind the ascension and later resignation of Newt Gingrich as Speaker following the Republican Revolution vote of 1994. In that election, thanks largely to Gingrich’s Contract With America, Republicans gained fifty-four seats to garner the majority in the House for the first time in forty years. Gingrich was mainly responsible for electing a sizable number of the new, young wave of House Republican conservatives. The Republicans elected Newt as the 50th House Speaker. He served four years as Speaker and, in my opinion, deserved to serve many more.

Islamist butchers, and their media and academic buddies, failed in their latest rerun of the war against Israel. In the days before online media, particularly Elon Musk’s X, the storyline was a familiar one. Israel would be attacked and the mainstream media would be flooded with accounts from local reporters and photographers and embedded compromised national reporters of civilian injuries and deaths during any response. The emotional response would follow: a call would come for Israel to pull back before taking effective charge of the enemy, and the United States would force its hand. Not this time. This time, we could see accounts from both sides

If our government does not respect the Constitution, we have no constitution. If the government refuses to stand behind the principles of free speech, the right to free assembly, the right to petition the government, the right to a speedy trial, etc., those rights don’t exist. Instead, we simply have rule down the barrel of a gun…a gun held only in government hands. I thought of that when I read about Doug Mackey, sent to federal prison for seven months because he insulted Hillary voters, and Ryan Kelley, given an extra-long prison sentence on a misdemeanor because he didn’t grovel sufficiently before his J6 hanging judge.

The House speakership has not been a happy thing for Republicans lately. While Nancy Pelosi was a raging leftist who successfully corralled her party and rammed through the leftist agenda (love her or hate her, she was effective), the same cannot be said for recent Republican speakers. John Boehner and Paul Ryan were RINOs. Kevin McCarthy was much more conservative, and for that he deserves credit, but he reneged on promises, especially about January 6. On October 7, the day Hamas attacked Israel, Inbal Rabin-Lieberman, a 25-year-old security coordinator at the Kibbutz Nir Am settlement located near the Gaza Strip, saved lives because she had a gun. After the kibbutz came under attack, Inbal hurriedly opened the armory and distributed guns to the twelve-member security team. She caught the Hamas murderers unawares because they were not expecting to meet armed resistance. Lieberman killed five terrorists while the others gunned down twenty-five before the Israeli Defense Force arrived. Because of her actions, Nir-Am was the only settlement bordering the Gaza Strip that did not suffer Israeli casualties during Hama’s attack.

This stimulant drug, also known as the "cocaine for the poor," allowed the terrorists to commit heinous acts with a sense of calmness and indifference. Simultaneously, it kept them highly alert for extended periods and suppressed their appetite.
