As I sit back and watch the 2024 GOP race unfold, I have one simple question for Republican primary voters to ponder before they head to the polls early next year.
The question is not meant to be rhetorical, nor is it meant to be tongue in cheek. As the race currently stands, former President Trump is leading every single Republican candidate — in every publicly available poll, at both the national and state level, by a considerable margin.

Just a discussion of polls. No discussion of the soft coup unfolding around against President Trump. Advice given: abandon President Trump because the Dims really hate him.
That’s not a solution. That’s a dodge. “Let’s just move on and maybe they won’t do it again if the new candidate doesn’t disrupt their war profiteering.”

Clearly the RINOs do NOT want to mess up the DC Uniparty Criminal Cabal's corruption pipeline of money from the treasury to their bank accounts, and THAT is the most important thing.
Stealing money is THE primary goal of all the DC political hacks, and power and politics take a second position if there is a choice to be made.
They hate Trump because he isn't corrupt and can't be corrupted - they never before met someone who couldn't be corrupted, and therefore he scares the hell out of them all.

The RNC is happy to be the do nothings as long as their funding continues. That funding allows the rinos like mcturtle to fund his sychophant candidates.
I donate to the candidates, not the party

When throwing the game it’s always good form to at least pretend you played for real.

When a lie-beral Demon-Rat wants to pretend to be a conservative, they always use a fake name. And I'm pretty sure that "Carpe Diem" (which means "seize the day" in Latin) is not on this person's birth certificate!!!!
He is a great conservative governor of what has become a solidly Republican state. He has a Republican majority in the state legislature that gives him pretty much any legislation he wants without much of a fight, if any. He appears to be a super solid conservative. Even the media in his state is fairly supportive of him. He is just a likeable guy. He has a beautiful wife and nice-looking kids.
Of course, I was describing George W. Bush just a few years ago. And we all know what a disaster he turned out to be once he got to DC and discovered that far too many Republicans in Congress were going to join the Demon-Rats in "keeping him in his place" every step of the way. Other than 9-11, he flamed out quickly and was a huge disappointment to conservatives everywhere.
Right now, Trump is ascending, while DeSantis is crashing in the polls. He has gone from 2nd place in most states to 3rd or 4th. More than anything, I question his decision-making skills. If he had just decided to stay governor and hone his skills for a few more years, and played Trump's biggest cheerleader for 2024, he would have been the undisputed frontrunner in 2028 -- with huge vote and financial support from Trump's base of voters and trump himself. Instead, he is seen as a backstabber and committed career suicide outside of Florida (where Trump also leads in the primary polling by the way).
So whoever this lie-beral Demon-Rat "Carpe Diem" is, you get one vote buddy. Waste it as you will!!! I will be voting for the best man available for the job, Donald Trump!!!!!

My take is that this is a worthless article that seems to ignore the will of the voters. Trump is leading because many of us have indicated we intend to vote for him.

At the outset of the campaign, I was all for Ron DeSantis. But his campaign has made numerous bungles and has stumbled badly in the polls. This doesn't look like a formula for success to me.

You can't win with 53% of the vote already stacked against you. The Only Trump crowd has bought into the lie that Trump is the only real conservative and that absolutely everybody else is a Rino. But Trump was a democrat and friend of the Clintons for most of his life. He got very little done as president. And if by some miracle he wins back the White House, the democrats will retake it in 2028.

mitch would prefer to be the minority leader imo. that way he doesn't have to do anything, and is not responsible for anything.

Stop it. Get help. DeSantis is a carefully camouflaged RINO. He will go along with whatever the Dems want to do.

Re: #6 - At the bottom of the article is the following:
"About Carpe Diem
Carpe Diem is the pseudonym for a writer who was a speechwriter in the Trump Administration."
Not quite the lie-beral Demon-Rat that you made him out to be. Besides, why does DeSantis need to hone his skills as governor, as well as be a cheerleader for Trump when no one suggested that Trump was wrong to go from New York billionaire directly to POTUS, as if the skills required to attain personal wealth should be desirable, if not mandatory, for future presidents. As far as Bush bashing, I suppose Trump's own words about being friends with Lee Atwater, whom he says contacted him about the possibility ofTrump being GHW Bush's running mate for re-election in '92 no longer matter. Trump says he asked Lee to check it out for him. Bush wrote at the time that the proposal was “strange and unbelievable." Just as well, as Trump wasn't through being a democrat, which didn't happen until 2009. I guess when you have an army of supporters who make ups phrases like, "Christie's Wray," to provide cover for bad personnel choices in office, as if Trump was perfect in seeking and following advice from Chris Christie to fill a key position within the Trump administration, then you have it made as a politician.

Every single Lucianne poster could vote for Trump, but it still won’t be enough if 53% of the population will not vote for him. The hatred for Trump in the media, the Democrats, the independents, rinos, and others are enough for Trump to lose again.
