Biden admin quietly reverses Trump-era
rule, bans transporting fossil fuels by train

Original Article

The Biden administration quietly rescinded a Trump-era regulation allowing companies to transport liquefied natural gas (LNG) via rail in a victory for environmental groups. In a federal filing Friday ahead of the holiday weekend, the Department of Transportation's Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) formally suspended the 2020 authorization of LNG transportation in rail tank cars. The rule will remain in effect until either a permanent rule regarding LNG rail tank car transportation is proposed and finalized — a process that may take several months — or June 30, 2025.

But yet it is ok to transport hazardous military stuff by rail and no one knows about it. How many pipelines has the Biden administration shut down that could transport this? So now it will be transported by truck???

LNG is a very clean source of energy so how is this a victory for environmental groups? Also if it ever spills there is nothing to clean up, no poisoned rivers or towns. Could it be that environmental groups are not actually for a better/cleaner environment?

While environmental groups (note that the word includes 'mental') are slaves to the Green Religion, this has nothing to do with it. It's shutting off our fuel supplies one at a time, forcing us to live like the Flintstones. Dishwashers, stoves, cars, light bulbs ceiling fans...... Can't build pipelines, and LNG trucks are far more likely to be involved in an accident than rail cars.. The water is getting very hot for us frogs.

But Warren Buffet's trains can still carry oil. One more example of why the Administrative State must be reined in - just the simple issuance of a "rule" and they can change policy.

Read the lede and thought it meant coal - a fossil fuel - couldn't be moved by rail. That would destroy the industry. Banning LNG by rail isn't much better. And the rule making seems backwards. The article says they can just stop things until they make a final rule. And they can conveniently delay making a final rule for as long as they wish? Did I read that right? What did I miss? Biden Inc. keeps driving costs up.

There are many much more hazardous chemicals transported by rail than LNG. A person could get the idea that Biden is purposefully destroying the country's economy since he is doing such a good job of it.

LNG provides the cleanest fossil fuel ... fossil fuels are what helped to make America great. But the low IQ, plagiarist SNIFFER is married to the Green New Scam, so ALL fossil fuels are verboten per his handlers, who RUN THE COUNTRY TODAY, making all fossil fuels more expensive, intentionally. Open borders and the Green New Scam will DESTROY America as we know it, which is exactly what the handlers WANT. Elections have consequences (especially rigged ones). SO, WHO will hold traitors accountable? It starts with a "T."

I don't believe it at all. But if it is somewhat true, then either Biden has gotten his last payoff from Warren Buffett, or is angling for another one to reverse this decision.. Oh, Wait, I just read beyond the title, which is another lie. "Fossil Fuels" is all encompassing (even if it isn't strictly true scientifically ), it says in the text "Liquefied Natural Gas". Buffet paid Biden big bucks to shut down OIL pipelines so that he could 'make big bank' by transporting OIL on his choo-choo trains, instead of having it flow more economically efficiently through pipelines. And given how often trains are crashing under Buttgigger's DOT management, it makes sense to stop the LNG transport. They don't mind killing people slowly when a trainload of toxic chemicals crashes and seeps into the groundwater and poisons people over time, but a giant fireball from an LNG train would be hard to hide.

When characterizing "environmental groups," it is always instructive to look not only at the group's stated objectives but look closely at the group's adopted methods. In so doing, environmental groups become communist fronts, cloaked in environment-speak. They seek nothing less than imposed, totalitarian mandates for the masses, mandates guaranteed to completely eliminate our 21st Century American way of life and standard of living. U.S. citizens were born into hard-earned freedom and liberty by the blood shed by their forebearers. Will our generation drop the ball, lose their freedoms and claim the distinction of allowing communist control of our government and national institutions, on our watch, or will we rise to the occasion and mddt our burgeoning communist threat head on? Growing up, late '50s through early '70s, I never thought to ask that question because it was inconceivable that my fellow citizens, first generation post WWII Americans, would be so complacent in the face of insurgent enemies of our Constitution. Of curse there were no social media jockeys, quick with the snazzy slogans and the ugly put-downs against those with whom they disagree, relatively benign activities that large segments of our population equate to "fighting."
