My reply is a rhetorical question or two. Why do the elites want to take our guns? Is it for their stated reasons? No! All of the 20th century mass murders were against unarmed citizens.

FTA: "The organization’s report shows that, in reality, armed civilians stopped about 157 out of 440 active shooter situations during the aforementioned time period." I once spent several hours one on one with Dr. John Lott, and picked his brain about gun control. One of the many interesting points he made was that when you ask reporters why they refused to write stories about armed citizens stopping crimes, especially attempts at mass shootings...he said the reporters told him "We don't want people to get wrong ideas that they can be safer by carrying a gun, so we just won't do the stories." Yep. They lie by omission. All the time.

News reporters always get it wrong, especially newspaper reporters. They can't even get basic terms right: "high-magazine clips" instead of extended capacity magazines "bullets" instead of cartridges "bullet casings" instead of fired cartridge cases "automatic weapons" instead of semi-automatic pistols or rifles "weapons of war" instead of modern sporting rifles "military-grade" instead of "looks like a military weapon" (that one's my favorite; none of these yo-yos was ever in the military) They never know what they're talking about, no matter how many times the facts are brought to their attention. They're willfully ignorant.

#1 is correct. I recall the U of Idaho with four students murdered by a guy with a knife. If just one student had been armed, the story might have been different. The world is not getting safer, folks. Just the opposite. If you have been thinking about buying a firearm and getting some training, do it now.

A few years ago, here in Oklahoma, a guy walked into a McDonalds with a gun. One man inside ran out to his car, pulled out his rifle and shot the man. No one else was hurt. There was a tiny little notice in the news that night and I never heard about it again.

FTA: The Bureau says armed citizens have stopped only 14 out of the 302 active shooter incidents between 2014 and 2022. This statement, although untrue, suggests that there aren't nearly enough armed citizens out there who are willing to act to save lives. Take some training, buy a gun. It may save your own life one day. #3's post demonstrates that the media clowns who write about gun control have never held a gun in their hands or served in the military. The golden rule for writers is to write about what you know.

Alabama is getting its revenge. After Texas offered to put the Crimson Tide’s band in the upper deck of Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium for their matchup last season, Alabama is returning the favor. Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne confirmed this week that the school is placing all 5,000 visitor seats and the Longhorns band in the upper deck of Bryant-Denny Stadium for Saturday’s matchup between No. 3 Alabama and No. 11 Texas in Tuscaloosa. “We are able to reciprocate a similar seating arrangement to what we had last year in Austin,” Byrne told The Tuscaloosa News. There’s been a lot of talk lately about Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) statute, mainly because of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ use of it to target Donald Trump and 18 others for prosecution. The state’s RICO act is broader than the federal equivalent, which is why Willis has tried tying multiple offenses to it in order to try to nail the former president. It turns out that prosecutors can use RICO for actual crimes and not just for left-wing political persecution. Georgia’s Attorney General Chris Carr is using the statute to charge over 60 individuals in conjunction with the domestic terrorism that has taken place over

Is there anyone less fit to be around men of authentic valor than cowardly, self-dealing Joe Biden? Breaking all protocol as well as common decency, he wandered off the set during a Medal of Honor ceremony, leaving the honoree, Capt. Larry L. Taylor, awkwardly on the podium alone. Here's what he did: (Snip) Seriously, he wandered off, leaving Capt. Taylor, the White House's guest of honor, to fend for himself, well before the closing prayer and other protocol niceties. Why the hell did he do that? Your guess is as good as mine given that all the White House will give on such a matter is gaslightings. Here are a few possibilities: One, Biden

One of the false narratives we hear over and over again from gun-control proponents on the left is that good guys with guns do not stop bad guys with guns, and we therefore need to ban “assault weapons.” I put that phrase in quotes because radical progressives don’t have a very specific definition of what constitutes such a class of firearm. That’s because the looser the parameters for what can be considered an assault weapon, the more guns they can fit into the category. Good guys can’t stop bad guys with guns in every situation. This is especially true when laws exist that prevent them from carrying weapons that could potentially

Jack Torrance, the raging alcoholic character in The Shining, screamed famously in the movie, “I’m back!” Another such character in the real-life horror movie called COVID-19, is the face mask. And like Jack Torrance, the mask is beginning to shout, “I’m back!” According to the CDC, COVID hospitalizations and deaths are creeping up a bit, but overall the numbers are low compared to a few years ago. There is also the issue of “with versus from” COVID. Someone hospitalized for back or heart surgery who tests positive for COVID will be counted a COVID hospitalization. This is vastly different from a patient with respiratory failure or pneumonia from COVID.

Joe Biden has actually been receiving quite a bit of criticism for all the tall tales he’s told. Heck, even the Washington Post decided to catalogue Biden’s lies about his biography. In the past couple of weeks, he’s told the same bogus story about a small kitchen fire in order to empathize with victims of the Maui wildfires and Hurricane Idalia in Florida. Few can question his commitment to the lies he tells, even when they’ve been debunked, but one would think that in light of the fact that even his allies in the media are pointing out that his yarns are, at best, gross exaggerations and, at worst,

Rising crime has been a plague under the Biden regime, largely spurred by prosecutors who refuse to enforce the law, thereby incentivizing criminal activity. That's been especially true when it comes to so-called "smash and grab" robberies. Sometimes carried out with a group of thieves and other times done solo, the technique is to rush into a place of business and steal high-value items. Technology and jewelry stores have become prime targets. Nowhere is the problem worse than in California due to Prop 47, which reduces some felony thefts to misdemeanors. That has created an environment where criminals can steal at will, knowing that they will likely

Joe Biden is in Florida for his brief photo-op meeting with first responders regarding Hurricane Idalia. But once again, he couldn't manage to get through even that short period without telling some whoppers and pushing his political agenda. As I reported earlier, he made a weird, snotty comment regarding Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. An incredibly odd scene unfolded at the White House on Tuesday during a ceremony to award the Medal of Honor to a Vietnam veteran. Army Captain Larry Taylor flew UH-1 Huey and AH-1 Cobra helicopters during the war. During one harrowing mission, he rescued a four-man reconnaissance team that was under heavy fire. Because his Cobra attack helicopter only had room for the two pilots onboard, the soldiers clung to the skids until Taylor was able to drop them off at a nearby American position. Taylor flew around 2,000 combat missions and is one of the most decorated helicopter pilots in U.S. Army history.
