President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will not visit Maui in the aftermath of the deadly wildfires because they “don’t want to distract” from the relief efforts, Harris announced on Friday. (snip) Neither Biden nor Harris will visit the devastated Hawaiian island despite the destruction, according to Harris. “We don’t want to distract from the resources that need to go in to the victims of this tragedy, and of course, the needs of the first responders have to be able to focus on that issue and not worry about focusing on us [because] we’re there,” Harris told reporters before boarding Air Force Two for Chicago.

We should just tell Biden he already visited Maui. In fact he was already there 30, 40, or 50 times like he went to Iraq and Afghanistan. And Beau bravely died in Iraq. Yeah...That ought to do it. Heels-Up Harris should be put in charge of finding the root cause of the fire. That should keep her busy so she is not always thinking becoming the first woman president.

But if it were a school shooting they would rush in with guns blazing (so to speak) to demand the 2nd Amendment be abolished and try to pin the blame on law-abiding gun owners.

I do however expect Biden to "empathize" by telling a story how HIS personal experience with a home "conflagration"(minor kitchen fire) equates to this event, and his sons death from "Burn Barrels in a Combat zone" does as well.

Did Joe ever make it to East Palestine, Ohio? He said he was going to go. He’s not much on death and destruction. It bores him. And a visit there has nothing in it for him, dollarwise. This doesn’t affect him anymore than inflation affects our multimillionaire, entire adult life in political office resident in the White House.

The actual "Point of origin" of this fire should be easily determined...the wind was only blowing ONE WAY, and doing so strongly..and a small fire with a cone shaped path getting ever larger will be able to be spotted in a matter of minutes on sat views, A follow up in person visit can/will confirm, perhaps preceded by a drone. Just how small the initial location is will be determinative, it may be a single cigarette butt, a frayed wire, obvious pool of accelerate...tire tracks in the grass with a scorch from the catalytic converter.(when I lived in the SF Bay area, a famous Music "Icon" complained that hikers and mountain bikers were looking into her yard from the hike/bike path passing behind her the powers that be to close the path, in fact had them install a gate....while welding the gate sparks caught the fields on fire, and burned HER house to the ground)

If you read nothing else this week, read Victor Davis Hanson’s article in American Greatness detailing how Obama began “the most radical revolutions” in our history. As legal matters -- the lawfare waged against former President Trump and the Department of Justice’s pussyfooting around the Biden bribery took this week’s center stage, it’s useful to note his remarks on the weaponization of justice in this country. Here’s a sample: Administrations and their efforts to stock the justice department with supporters come and go. But in the last decade the Left has viewed the Department of Justice as a political extension of the party -

US Rep. Cori Bush pocketed $15,000 for teaching a university summer course on reparations, according to her financial disclosure report. The Missouri congresswoman — and longtime champion of offering cash payments to black Americans as compensation for slavery — earned the dough from George Mason University for co-teaching the class “The Public Pedagogy of Truth and Reparations.” The course is expected to focus on “truth telling processes” as well as “state sponsored violence against African Americans and other targeted groups,” the school said in a news release. Bush is a member of the Squad — a loose alignment of far left House members led by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-Queens).
