Hawaii's governor has said that the terrifying fire tornados that tore though the island's buildings were '1,000 degrees' - as it's revealed warning sirens did not go off.
The blazes on the island of Maui have now become the deadliest wildfires in modern US history - killing 93 people - and authorities are still working to identify the victims.
Hawaii Gov. Josh Green described the wildfire as a 'fire hurricane' - blowing 80mph winds and reaching temperatures of up to '1,000-degree heat.' Meanwhile, Hawaii Emergency Services Administration said Friday: 'Neither Maui nor HI-EMA activated warning sirens on Maui during the wildfire incident.'

The governor says the Maui fires were caused 'global warming.' I'm really confused because the global warming scare hoax was replaced with the 'climate change' scare hoax not too long ago. Do the climate alarmists have a new scare phrase du jour?

Yup...that "global Warming" causing deadly fires thang has been going on since long BEFORE lawn mowers and leaf blowers...and in places waaaaay to the north, places considered down right COLD today.
The Peshtigo fire in Wisconsin started on Oct 8, 1871, and killed 1,152, according to the National Fire Protection Association.
Summer 1910
Location: Idaho, Montana, and Washington
Acres Burned: 3,000,000 acres
Deaths: 87 people

The Peshtigo fire was also a fire tornado. It killed well over a thousand people but was overshadowed by the Chicago Fire which happened the same day.

Were arsonists involved? Were land sharks involved? The jury is not out yet. Use the Bongino rule in these cases.

Too much of this going on to be a koinky dink. Lots of investigating, yet somehow, we never hear the results. I'm putting my money on ecoterrorism. A lot of people stand to make a lot of money by pushing the greenie agenda.

Global warming caused Maui to burst into flames? To be hor enough for that, a lot more would have burst into flames and many more deaths from heat. More likely electric wires blown down by the hurricane igniti g dry grass and trees.

No sirens, no warnings from the same state that issued the fake ballistic missile alert in 2018. In this latest incident you can count on a thorough internal “investigation” that results in no criminal charges and no firings of incompetent democrat bureaucrats who are responsible for this disaster.

Why didn't the alarms go off? If they would not go off for a fire that intense, then why even have them in the first place? Did they have a warranty? I guess we will never know.

Democrats are the problem, they lie about everything, baby killers besides. There's a fire waiting for them, when they die, that will never go out.

It will be interesting to see how the "new" Maui develops....who rebuilds "what" and "what" is rebuilt.
Just sayin.'

I can't help but think that there's a liberal 'Karen' that complained about the noise of those warning sirens and so they were turned off!

I live near a state prison. Everyday at noon, there is a test of the siren.

I thought the sirens were for tsunami warnings in Hawaii. In the midwest sirens meant a tornado was spotted. I doubt anyone would have equated the siren with a fire warning.

There is an article by Wall Street Journal (unable to link to it) about how several years ago there was study on the risk of wildfires, winds from hurricanes and dry conditions on Maui and concerns by Hawaii Electric Co. and of course, very little was done to prepare. And of course, we don't have any money but yet people pay all these taxes for what exactly? And I think a subtle problem is the "manana" attitude you see/experience when you live on an island where everything is laid back and casual.

I'm still not sure where the fires came from. Down the hills or along the coastline?

Hawaii is run, at the state and local levels, by Democrats. For an indication of the average intelligence level of a Hawaii Democrat, I give you: Mazie Hirono.
These people couldn’t organize a successful luncheon, much less a disaster plan.

Forest fires and town fires have been happening for centuries. Read a bit of history, you moron. Wood frame, closely spaced buildings WILL eventually burn down. All the old western towns and most small towns in the USA, at some time in the 1700s or 1800s up into the 1900s, too, burned.
Nothing new. Still tragic, but the root cause is humans building fire traps and not recognizing it. And no sprinkler systems, or major fire fighting capability are often additional factors.
Man-made global warming....nah, that's just a fraud, a scam. Whatever changes MIGHT be happening, and are unproven, are entirely due to natural variations. Not impressed with this as "proof" of anything except bad governance.

Actually, the heat in those fires was likely far above this dimwit's "Big Number" that he just tossed out "1,000 degrees" probably well over double that.

The winds were howling on Tuesday, and throughout the night.
Warnings are issued all the time, but none this time?
A Lahaina resident said he was awoken at 4am due to the winds, and found his power was out.
He never heard a siren warning, and lost his business and 3 homes in the area.

The cynic in me wants to know if some billion dollar resident complained about siren noise so they stopped using them. The cynic in me also wants to know if that 'fire hurricane' is anything like a sharknado. Trust the science!
