First, there’s the “how.” How did a 21-year-old Air National Guardsman gain access to and reveal closely held military and intelligence secrets? Then there’s the “what.” What exactly did Airman First Class Jack Douglas Teixeira post to his teenage friends on the gamer board “Thug Shaker Central”?
The “why” will await some psychiatric profile that will tell us about Teixeira’s sad, lonely life and his need to be noticed. And military counterintelligence experts are still sifting through the evidence to find answers to the “what.”
But the shocking truth is that a low-ranking Air National Guard member was able to snap hundreds of photos of classified documents and post them

How do we know he did it to impress his online gamer buddies? I haven't seen that elsewhere.
And why does it matter he's 21? 18 year olds are considered old enough to take an oath, carry a gun and destroy cities. Having access to information is nothing next to that.
And he's a gamer? So what? Again, has nothing to do with anything. Gaming is a multi billion dollar industry. If he watched football would we note he's a football fan? So what? Irrelevant.
This is a pretty trashy low quality article. Not sure why it was written or what message the author is trying to send.

No. The incalculable damage done by the flaks in the Biden administration that allowed this guy access with obviously shoddy security implementation.

The Washington Post report is written perfectly for credulous readers. It touches all the hot buttons — e.g., racist, religious extremist, anti-Semite, loves guns, hates the U.S. Government. The only thing lacking is that the fellow, Jack Texeira, was not wearing a MAGA cap.
To reiterate an earlier point, the leaked material is not random intelligence material. It is designed to tell several stories. The most prominent is the deterioration of Ukrainian capabilities and the major obstacles confronting the United States and the rest of NATO …, Ukraine is going to crash and burn.

Whatever happened, if this guy IS being set up, he needs to be protected against sudden and unexpected suicide.

They say that the 21 year old perpetrator is “anti-war” if so why did he join the Air Force? Maybe because he was influenced to do what he did by unidentified persons and/or entities both domestic and foreign by way of the World Wide Web to sabotage US military operations? Remember when asked about the leaks Biden said that he was not concerned by the leaks, that should tell you something! How many others like him have joined the US military?

I think it far more likely to be a deep state psy-ops with a scapegoat.

Anyone handling secret material as part of their job would need the appropriate security clearance. That would include the typist(s) who typed the material and, as in this case the communications person(s) whose job it was to transmit it. We have heard that there could have been 1000-5000 designated recipients in this case. The notion that that would have to be done by an older person of a higher level rank is naive.

Anyone who believes this kid was the mastermind of an intelligence coup is likely to be the same kind of person who believes that the 2020 elections were, in Joe the Babbler's words, "the fairest in history." This was a clumsy attempt to put out the regime's chosen narrative through a cut-out they could then turn around and blame for "leaking." Notice how quickly came the calls for new Federal laws designed to turn the screws even tighter on the American people's rights to freely discuss and disseminate information. That creepy Senator Warner and the stooge Rubio were johnny-on-the-spot to call for more intrusive and draconian measures. It's just like the legislation ostensibly designed to eliminate spying by the Chinese through their totally owned and operated Tik-Tok site, but which gives the government the right to snoop and rummage through innocent people's internet activity and throw those whom they target into a federal supermax for twenty years.

This article is spot on.
As for vast, complicated, deep state stooge scenarios go to the search engine of choice and perform a search for "1980s American spies" to see the banal reality of some of the most damaging leaks in American history. A lonely, narcissistic 21 year old active gamer E3 with a Top Secret/SCI clearance and a massive lack of self awareness is quite capable of this sort of thing.
To kids gamer cred can be more motivating than cash or the honey trap.

If you wonder how this young man gained access to classified documents then you remember nothing about the Falcon and the Snowman. First, far too many documents are labeled classified without the needed periodic review and consideration of the classification, The most important part is that those responsible for classified documents often treat them in a cavalier way. If revealing these documents supported the Biden administration lies, it would be ignored.

Did I read this story correctly? Rick Moran isn't waiting for the accused to to have a chance to ''prove his innocence'' in court? Nancy Pelosi will be appalled!

"incalculable damage".....how about NONE? I'm not convinced that 1) any of this is real, but probably the latest "look, a squirrel" moment and 2) when was the last time the CIA got anything right?
Doubt all that you hear from the enemedia, they are liars and propagandists. I'm not sure what is really going on here, but it probably ISN'T what the Enemedia is telling us.
