Casting aside the "norms" that the Left loudly pined for just a few short years ago, far-Left Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg compelled the former president to appear in a Manhattan court to enter a plea in response to an indictment containing 34 counts of "falsifying business records," which is normally a minor misdemeanor charge. [SNIP] For the American experiment to continue in any form that wouldn't violently sicken our nation's Founders if they were still alive today, those of us in America that aren't batshit crazy need to establish a New Normal where the out-of-control craziness is stopped in its tracks by an even more determined opposing force...

The Biden administration on Thursday announced that it would complete a 20-year withdrawal of 225,504 acres in a northern Minnesota forest area that is home to some of the largest domestic critical mineral reserves.
The action announced by the Department of the Interior (DOI) effectively prohibits mining activity from taking place in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in Duluth, Minnesota, and surrounding area for the next two decades. This Is How Government Breeds Mistrust

Keeping faith with others is basic to civilization. A government filled with suspicion does not earn the goodwill and affection of its people. Rather, it becomes an enemy in their eyes. The people’s disaffection increases the leader’s own mistrust. And so it goes, around and around, mistrust deepening at every turn of the circuit. A good example is taxation. The American income tax system has depended to a large degree on the willingness of people to fund their own government.
Compare this to Italy in the ’80s, where distrust brought a very large percentage of the economy underground and off the books.
Nichelle Nichols, who played Lt. Nyota Uhura on the original "Star Trek," has died at the age of 89, her son Kyle Johnson announced on her official Facebook page. "Last night, my mother, Nichelle Nichols, succumbed to natural causes and passed away," Johnson's statement read. "Her light however, like the ancient galaxies now being seen for the first time, will remain for us and future generations to enjoy, learn from, and draw inspiration. Hers was a life well lived and as such a model for us all."

U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut says he expects to undergo surgery to repair a broken leg he suffered Saturday during a victory parade for the University of Connecticut men’s basketball team.
