Marjorie Taylor Greene opposes 'mentally
unstable' Laura Loomer for Trump campaign role

Original Article

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) isn't happy with reports that former President Donald Trump’s campaign is seeking to hire Laura Loomer, an activist with a history of bigoted and anti-Muslim remarks. Greene blasted Loomer as "mentally unstable" and a "liar." Trump recently met with Loomer and told his campaign advisers to give her a role to help boost his candidacy, either in the campaign itself or the main super PAC backing his White House bid, sources told the New York Times.

Comments:

While his great defenders see nothing in this but more "fake news", the fact is that Trump's personal hires in the past have been suspect, if not embarrassing. Do T-Rex, Mad Dog or Omerosa come to mind? How about Mike Pence? But, whatever...

Poster, what do you find embarrassing about her? The rumors are rumors. We also know through rumors Trump was a Russian spy directly under Putin's control because they had him on film peeing on hookers in Moscow, he didn't pay his taxes, he raped countless women, he is also a Chinese puppet, he stiffed his Girl Scout cookie bill and kicks puppies for fun.

If Donald Trump really needs to hire someone for his campaign, why doesn't he hire an everyday, hard-working person that could bring a different vitality?

Even though Loomer might be speaking the truth about Islam and Muslims one has to view it in terms of how it will project the image of Trump and his campaign. Supposed intolerance will be the chief weapon that the other side will fling. Especially to cover their own. It might not worth the cost to have her as the face of the campaign. Simple prudence.

The Washington Examiner article is a hack job. MTG needs to dial it back bit, as she constantly blathers out stuff before her mind is engaged. Going back to her Project Veritas days, Laura Loomer has a disquieting habit of speaking her mind and saying the quiet part about the death cult, leftists and RINOs out loud. Her social media bans focused on this, NOT because what she said is false. Hell, anything said against leftist earns you some damn label — they dispense them like Pez candy, and just as substantive.

I know very little about Greene, and essentially nothing about Loomer, so hard to have much of an idea what is going on here. Greene seems to go for the big splash, much like Sandy Cortez, the mouthy barmaid. That's not a great approach, but it does get ink...or clicks.

It took the first two years of Trump's presidency to get rid of the insider trash. Once that was done, the country ran like a well oiled machine until the communists unleashed Covid. The problem is, who does Trump trust to be part of his next administration. The trust is paper thin in Trump's mind and who could blame him for that.

#19, Please read poster #19's comments above. Only the naive will deny that President Trump's Achilles Heel is his propensity to recruit and hire people on a whim, then fire them weeks later when the stuff hits the fan. Think Anthony Scaramucci. Trump would be wise to steer clear of both Marjorie Taylor Green and Laura Loomer--for the reasons given by Poster at #21 above.

A Florida grand jury's five-month probe into the government's processing of unaccompanied migrant children is poking a major hole into President Joe Biden's border narrative, concluding his administration has been "facilitating the forced migration, sale, and abuse of foreign children." In an interim report released by Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody, the grand jury raised deep concerns about the Homeland Security Department and Department of Health and Human Service's Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) implementation of the Unaccompanied Alien Child (UAC) program, saying the government's rhetoric does not match its performance.

Levin used his show on Tuesday to talk about how the Republican Party’s slim majority in the House of Representatives may cause a struggle for McCarthy to get the votes he needs to succeed Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Hard-right members of the Congressional GOP have publicly opposed McCarthy’s bid for the speakership, so the House minority leader is currently trying to bring these factions in line and secure the 218 votes he needs.

Democrats are napping peacefully through the US-Mexico “border” crisis they engineered. Perhaps these data will snap them from their slumber: The US Department of Homeland Security reports that the Mexican cartels’ income from smuggling illegal migrants into America has soared from $500 million in 2018 to $13 billion this year — up 2,500%. If these criminals merged into a corporation, their 2022 gross revenues would rival that of — are you sitting down? — Fox Corporation. Fox News Channel’s parent company earned $12.91 billion in the year ended June 30, 2021, and $13.97 billion 12 months later.

America’s national debt has climbed north of $31 trillion for the first time, a milestone that comes at a time of historically high inflation, rising interest rates and growing economic uncertainty. The nation’s total public debt outstanding closed at $31.1 trillion on Monday, according to Treasury Department data published Tuesday. The US government went on a borrowing spree during the Covid-19 pandemic to help shore up the nation’s economy as the deadly virus upended lives, labor markets and supply chains. Outstanding debt has climbed nearly $8 trillion since the beginning of 2020. And it has jumped by $1 trillion in just eight months.

Overnight, the explosive accusations blew up in the national press, but the details kept changing. Initially, McCarthy said he had a list with the names of 205 communists in the State Department; the next day he revised it to 57. Since he kept the list a secret, the inconsistencies were beside the point. The point was the power of the accusation, which made McCarthy’s name synonymous with the politics of the era.
