Welcome to the Banana Republic of America

Original Article

Posted By: Hazymac, 4/3/2023 7:21:10 AM

America has officially descended from Ronald Reagan’s “shining city upon the hill” to a banana republic on par with Cuba, Venezuela, or the former Soviet Union. Elected officials from both parties have no interest in slowing America’s decline and most are cheering it on. Just this week, any semblance of fairness, justice, equal protection under the law, and a host of other principles which allowed America to thrive for almost 250 years were thrown out the window. America’s demise didn’t begin this week and can be traced to the days of FDR and then the liberal big-government explosion of the 1960s.

FTA: "Where are the Republicans?" Well, if anyone (including frequent rino commenters on this site) had any doubts about the insidiousness of the "Republicans", okay "rinos", there should be no doubt now. The rinos are just as bad as the enemedia when it comes to treachery. If there was really any justice left in this country many of these two groups in particular would be charged with treason and fitted for hemp collars. But we all know the justice system is not too far behind in the corruption department, so nothing will happen except for what's been happening. . .the country going to *ell in a handbasket.

It is noteworthy that Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton both got passes from the legal system. Hillary got passes several times: 1. She was not disbarred for unethical actions against Richard Nixon during impeachment investigation. 2. Whitewater bank fraud. 3. Removing records from Vince Foster office after his death, to obstruct investigation into his death. 4. Withholding records subject to a subpoena. 5. Lying to a grand jury. 6. Failure to follow Federal law regarding classified documents and running her own email server out of her home. Kenneth Starr decided that indicting her would not be good for the country as a whole because it would appear to criminalize political opposition. With 20-20 hindsight, I think less damage to our country would have been done by that evil shrew if she would have been indicted in the 90's. But she should have been stopped at #1. So other prosecutors were "big enough" to let it go, but Bragg has to make up stuff to risk the system on.

Los Angeles cannot be rid of district attorney George Gascón quickly enough. Two weeks after charging seven California Highway Patrol officers and a nurse with manslaughter in the case of a man who died from an overdose of methamphetamine, he now comes after two Torrance police officers for a shooting in which they had been cleared — with abundant justification — by his predecessor. Like the case involving the CHP, the one against the Torrance officers is unwinnable for the prosecution or would be in a just world. But it is not a just world, and nowhere is it more unjust than in those jurisdictions where so-

Famed novelist and radical leftist Stephen King accidentally outed himself as a transphobe while attempting to virtue signal his support of abortion on Thursday, and I can’t stop laughing. King, who used to write really good horror novels, regurgitated the old tired trope that if men could get pregnant, there would be no restrictions on abortion. “It has been said before, but it bears repeating: if men could get pregnant, abortion would be a sacrament,” he wrote on Twitter. [Tweet] Now, King may have thought he was exposing the hypocrisy of anti-abortion arguments, which are frequently made by conservative men who will never have to face the physical and emotional toll of

Joe Biden is still in Ireland with his son Hunter and sister Valerie, going to visit various areas associated with his ancestors on our dime. He was in County Mayo on Friday. I think he’s already set a record for how many embarrassing things he can do on a foreign trip. He laid down a festival of made-up stories during his remarks in Ireland. He told a weird story to little kids that couldn’t possibly have happened and had to have Hunter help him and correct him. He also told the Irish Parliament some stories that were a bunch of malarkey too. But before he left Dublin he left the Irish

Happy Friday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. (Snip) We’ve all lost count of the number of times I have exhorted Team Biden to not let Ol’ Joe off his leash too often. He’s an unfailing embarrassment to a once proud country. Heck, at this point our enemies are probably embarrassed that the United States can’t be taken seriously anymore. They’d probably like more of a challenge. There are rumors that Joe Biden wants to run for reinstatement via the Magical Mail Ballot Machine reelection and subject the country to Sir Sniffsalot, the Sequel. It’s a frightening prospect, yet one I’m not too worried about for a variety of reasons. Chief

Then there’s the “what.” What exactly did Airman First Class Jack Douglas Teixeira post to his teenage friends on the gamer board “Thug Shaker Central”? The “why” will await some psychiatric profile that will tell us about Teixeira’s sad, lonely life and his need to be noticed. And military counterintelligence experts are still sifting through the evidence to find answers to the “what.” But the shocking truth is that a low-ranking Air National Guard member was able to snap hundreds of photos of classified documents and post them

Historians will have a hard time grappling with the enormity of the efforts by the media, the Department of Justice, and their allies in the intelligence community (IC) to stop Donald Trump. For a more manageable case study they would do well to look at the 2006 re-election campaign of then 10-term Pennsylvania Congressman Curt Weldon. Seventeen years later, Weldon has a lot to say—with more to come—about how this unholy cabal subverted the democracy its apparatchiks profess to champion. Weldon recently sent me a video tribute made on his behalf in spring 2007 by then former president George H.W. Bush.

Remember how during Trump’s presidency, the media went to great lengths to push the narrative that Trump inspired an increase in racism and hate crimes? And then it felt like many of the hate crimes reported in the media were actually hoaxes? It didn’t stop the mainstream media from perpetuating the false narrative that Trump was to blame for a rise in hate crimes. Why? Because it appealed to the left’s ideology. The left wants to believe that America is a bigoted, racist country, and blaming Trump for it was the icing on the cake — and they made sure they had their slice and ate it, too.

People who say "love is love" are morons. Living in Washington taught me that. They never ask "how" or "for whom," and they somehow have the idea that you can just love, and everything will turn out great. If they'd ask questions, it wouldn't be so simple. For instance, is politics — one of the dirtiest and most unscrupulous games we play — love? Aren't you fighting for somebody when you're fighting somebody else? Can you love a criminal and a victim at the same time? Isn't love a choice toward one person or one group of people and an exclusion of some others?

While DACA, created by former President Obama through executive action, has helped shield close to a million illegal aliens from deportation through the years, the Migration Policy Institute states that about 600,000 are currently enrolled in the program.
