The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that cases of a deadly fungus tripled in the United States from 2019 to 2021. The fungus, Candida aurist, has caused illness and death since it was first detected in the United States. The CDC rates it as an “urgent threat”, the highest level of concern.
There are three reasons the CDC has rated the fungus with its highest level of concern- it is multidrug-resistant, it spreads easily in healthcare facilities, and it can cause severe, invasive infections with high mortality rates. The authors of the CDC report wrote that the fungus “has continued to cause illness and death

1471 deaths are a national emergency compared to 1000,000 plus death from fentanyl that are tolerated?

Turn over our sovereign country to WHO to demand we follow their rulings (FJB over and over) and BINGO, a new health crisis on the horizon. Waiting for the Pandemic 2.0 commands, rules and regulations. Wonder if there will be another "vaccine, not a vaccine" mandate? Haven't we already jumped the shark on this pandemic crap?

Very bad that we can't trust anything the CDC says now. Is it true this fungus is an “urgent threat”? Is it an exaggeration? Is it an outright lie? It's worse than the boy who cried "wolf". This is like adults on the Official Wolf Watch crying wolf but you can't trust them.

Let me guess, Pfizer has a new, experimental vaccine that will stop the fungus.
Vaccines will be required by everyone.
If you don't get vaccinated, you will be shunned.

Please note that this is Hot Air trying to make this a big, scary story. From 2019 through 2021 this fungus led to 1 millionth of 1 percent of the U.S. population to receive medical care.

I had a pulmonary embolism in 2009. That April, the WSJ reported that 100,000 people had died of PEs the previous year, most after surgeries. Of people who had a PE, 3 out of 10 died. I was in the 70% because I lived long enough for them to diagnose the condition and was given Lovenox (sp).
Flash forward ten years... After a surgery, instead of telling you NOT to have aspirin, in addition the antibiotics and pain killers, one gets told to take a baby aspirin every morning and evening for one month after the surgery.
That was it. A baby aspirin.
They haven't figured this out yet. They will. I'm not worried.

don't let this blow up into another covid B-S pandemonium situation which is exactly what the alphabet channels would like to do, distraction is a form of control and the communists are very good at doing that especially with the aid of our "free" communications systems

If the fungus is so deadly one would think the article would name the hot spots where it is found and the symptoms when exposed.

Looking at cdc site and web no symptoms are listed, only how you might contract it which is only in the hospital or rest home and ITS FATAL. It used to be only found in foreign visitors but somehow it is now in a hospitals tubing they use on you and only detectable by certain labs. Chicken, meet acorn.

It appears that COVID has worn out its welcome and fails to scare the people of Rio Linda any longer so the CDC needed to come up with a new disease. They're field testing this fungus as I write this.

Plenty of extremely, effective anti-fungals growing out in nature, some in your own yard. Get yourself a good plant medicine book and take charge of your own health.
