Ford has unveiled its new 'trailblazer' Explorer electric SUV with a range of more than 300 miles from a single charge and a moveable touchscreen inside that conceals a James Bond-style hidden compartment.
The new family-friendly crossover - which will be in showrooms next year - is described as the first in a new breed of 'stylish, smart and road-trip ready' all-electric Ford vehicles with clever storage and sharp design designed to appeal as much to women as men.
And the only thing it appears to share with the larger outgoing internal combustion engine Ford Explorer SUV (which is more than half a metre longer than

40,000 British Pounds is almost $50,000 US dollars. To pay off in 60 months would be over $800 a month. That's obscene. I've had several Explorers over the years, absolutely love them, but at that price, no thanks, especially for an electric.

Ford Motor Company is in the Express Lanes of Bankrupt Highway. Go Woke Get Broke. Without the heavy taxpayer subsidies for electric cars, not one could be built and turn a profit on its own merits. That includes Tesla. Another commie green energy scam squandering our taxpayer money without our consent.
If you own any stock in Ford, sell now and at least get some of your money back.

Hope it gets better range than the ill-fated F-150 "Lightning"... which served only as a "lightening" of the wallets of numbskulls who bought them.

We have a 2012 M/B SUV with 40,000 miles on it. Can’t imagine trading it for the trash currently being sold.

I have a 99 Landcruiser with 250,000 miles on it and everything works from the electronics on up. What's the battery life on the Ford?

#9 sounds like my sad. He has a 2012 Toyota Camry with just over 51k miles. When my parents bought it, it had all of the bells and whistles available. It is on incredible condition and, being a Toyota, runs like a top. He has no plans on trading it in, despite the dealership constantly asking him if he is interested in a new vehicle when he gets his oil changed.
My own 2017 Toyota Corolla has less than 22k on it. I will keep it, thank you very much!!

Whoever designs and builds a compact diesel generator on a cart that can be towed behind these EVs is going to become a trillionaire.

Only 25 minutes (not verified) for a fill-up of electricity. Get real. Can you imagine the lines at the charging stations. It takes me no more than 4 minutes to fill up my jeep with 87 and I'm on the road again.

Did Ford actually use the name of a Chevy SUV (Trailblazer) to describe their new eSUV?

Wow, 300 miles per charge! I'll bet this baby could go coast to coast in two weeks flat. By the time you got to Wally World, your vacation would be over, providing you made it across Death Valley. Incidentally, today's airlines sometimes don't beat that time by much.

#3 is correct. Dump your Ford stock. I guess, though, when Ford goes belly up, the feds will take our tax dollars and bail them out. My Toyota Camry is 21 years old, only has 90,000 miles on it. I am 80 years old and my son can get it and it’s good for another 100,000 at least. EVs could possibly be viable 30 years from now but only an idiot would buy one today.

Hey Ford, what did you do with the Ford Pickup EV? It's a total POS...did you just take off the Pickup Body and put on an SUV body?
